Lovely hotel! I was staying on my own. Check in was easy and friendly and the reception and bar area has a great vibe. Room was ideal and bed extremely comfortable! Shower was amazing. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty to choose from. I only knocked it down from 10 to 9 because TV signal was patchy. Would definitely stay again though. Location is brilliant - station is a few minutes away, there is a multi storey car park virtually next door and the coach station is about a ten minute walk.
Check in wasn’t the best, glad we had visited other Motel One as got no information regarding check out time, if we wanted to add breakfast etc. Seemed like the staff wanted to just check us in as quickly as possible even though we were only people in reception at the time.
The hotel is in a perfect location for everything we needed, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable! The staff are super friendly, we will definitely be staying again and will recommend
I had to change the dates of my stay due to the airline changing my flight times, and did so via the Motel One booking site, receiving confirmation of the new dates. However, shortly before I was due to travel I received separate emails regarding online check-in for both the original booking and the new one so I was concerned I could be charged as a no-show for the original booking. I sent an email to the hotel and was most grateful for the Reservations Manager's very prompt reply assuring me that she had cancelled the original booking. I have stayed at the hotel several times before as I like the convenient location so close to the railway station, the style of the hotel and the excellent value for money it offers. This time proved no exception, my request for a quiet room had been noted and my third floor room facing an attractive Victorian building on Whitworth Street was both quiet and bright. The room had more space than the one I paid over €300 a night for in Rome a few weeks ago, for less than a third of the price. As always everything was very clean and supplies of coffee and milk replenished. The heating system worked well and the blackout curtains are effective. The bathroom towels were thick and fluffy, good quality. I don't take breakfast at the hotel as I wouldn't eat cereal, cheese or cold meats for breakfast so it wouldn't represent good value for me, but that's just a personal preference. The only things that could be improved on, for me, would be a little more storage space for clothes and a mini fridge in the rooms, otherwise it suits me perfectly and I will certainly continue to use the hotel.
Minutes from Manchester Piccadilly station ,although I wish I had known about the 3 min cut through 🤔Arrived to welcoming , easy check in Clean comfortable ,the best budget hotel so far Hood value ,staff friendly ,facilities exactly as required for overnight stay .
Lovely hotel. Lobby decor is very warm and welcoming. Great design. Location is perfect. Right by the station. Room was fine the only issue I had was the A/C didn’t work properly. Room was too hot despite having it set to cool.
Good towels
The location is great as it is close to the train station what is I need and room is clean. My concern is that I don't feel the receptionists are very welcoming and friendly, when I ask the tissue or stuff I need. ---I only feel one Asian receptionist was nice to me as he said thank you being polite (he is good, I don't know his name but he helped me checked in at night and gave me the key). Normally when I said thanks after conversation, no one answered to me, I feel most of receptionists are cold to me. But when they face white customers, I heard they are more welcoming comparing serving me which I felt it is unfair. And there is another stuff who I felt helpful is security man I think, He saw me carry the stuff so helped me on 28th oct night, Others I felt it is not worth the price as the service is not that excellent as I expected, So I will not book again tbh.
First time staying at this hotel and it won't be the last. The staff were friendly and helpful from the start. My room was beautiful. The bed was so comfy, best nights sleep. From you walk in, the reception area, lifts, landings and my room were immaculate. Very fair pricing. Keep up the good work.
Great room, great price, great staff. Thank you
- Placed in an accessible room, which was not requested. - As above, there was no bath in the room. - The bathroom smelt of drains. - The bedroom was freezing cold, WITH the heating on. - Loud banging all night long. - WIFI didn’t work. - £221 for ONE night is expensive for things not to be perfect. Stayed here previously; however, will not be staying here again.
Centrally located. Awesome, helpful staff. Comfortable beds.
Nice hotel, lovely staff. the St Peter’s square one is cleaner and we were misinformed about what time the bar was open until (2am was actually midnight) . The reception and bar staff were lovely. The night team( post 11pm) were less friendly. The reception area toilets were very untidy and not clean- although this was fixed during the evening. Our hotel room had a stool which had a stain on it
Lovely clean hotel , great location and polite and friendly staff , we will be back.
A very good hotel. It was clean and the breakfast was excellent.
Very attentive staff, lovely relaxing bar area. Clean room, comfy bed. Great value for money. Across the road from Piccadilly station and Metro. Canal Street 5 mins walk, Arndale shopping 10 min walk.
Great location, tv didnt work at all and very outdated
Stayed at motel one plenty of times. Great as usual, apart from the air conditioning wasn’t working and couldn’t turn the heat down so the room was very hot, even with the windows open making our stay slightly uncomfortable. There was also hair left on the bedside unit. Apart from this everything else was great.
Perfectly acceptable for a one night stay. Close to the train station and the event we were in Manchester for. Check in and out was easy and the staff friendly. The bed was comfortable. A small bar fridge would have been nice as we had some food that we had to throw away as there was nowhere to store it. The chair in the room and the carpets looked like they needed a good steam clean but it looks like a busy hotel so there must be a huge number of people coming and going. Good value for the price.
Hotel is modern upon entering and lobby/reception area rooms are very basic for the cost per night I usually stay in another hotel for a lower price and 10 times better facilities and rooms are amazing.
All good - comfy bed and decent pillows. Friendly staff too. Breakfast was nice and healthy. Good to see that.
The room was clean but dated and very hot in the night, opened window but because hotel is next to train station it was very noisy early morning.. I have stayed at other hotel in Manchester and rooms are much nicer and modern, reception area was lovely but rooms need an update. Carpet in hotel looks dirty.
Great location, hotel looks great and reception and bar are first class. Rooms are tired and in need of repair and refresh.
The air conditioning in the room was blowing hot air all night despite being set to cool. Reception in the morning said they would reset it to cool. The second night it worked perfect. Third night about 11pm starts blowing hot air again despite again being on cool. Another visit to reception and the employee said he would go to the basement and reset it. Sounds like it is a common problem as all staff seem to know about it. The European sideways pillow cases are very unhygienic as they remove themselves in the night from the pillow which has no pillow protectors. No plugs in sink so to shave you have to keep the tap running. No very green/environmentally friendly. Elevators are extremely slow. Seems there is a problem with them as they state 5 persons maximum on a printed sign however inside they state 13 persons.
Very comfortable welcome is nice perfect for stay alone or couple
Felt inviting when we entered, efficient check in, room was an adequate size, bed was comfortable, decent shower.
Convenient and well located for Picadilly and Manchester in general. Rooms have everything you could need
Motel One is my ‘go to’ hotel in many city centres, but particularly in Newcastle and Manchester. Excellent locations, well appointed modern feel, and friendly staff. I’ll continue to stay in them!
Great service staff very helpful & attentive all seemed efficient and always happy
room small basic, cup nasty plastic, overall average but expenisve
I normally stay in the motel one Saint Peters Square my business normally books me into that hotel on s regular basis but on Wednesday 22nd my Business booked me into Motel One Saint Peters Square but when I turned up, your bookings team had made a mistake and booked me into Manchester Piccadilly Normally, I cannot fault your hotel chain and I really enjoy staying in the Saint Peter Square location but that evening all my colleagues were in Saint Peter Square and I had to go across other side of the city to the other location which was not ideal
Amazing value for money at £100 for the night. Ideal location, clean room with a comfy bed and great shower, and such friendly, helpful staff. Loved the bar area and 24hr reception too. Will definitely stay again.
Excellent front of house staff. Very clean room so obviously excellent cleaning staff too.
Excellent staff, so helpful and catered to all our special requests - and gave recommendations for restaurants too. Comfy bed, clean room, quiet, handy location close to the train station.
The motel is still holding £100 that they demanded of me when I came to check in
Nice rooms, friendly staff. Only breakfast area is a bit cramped when it's rush hour.
Booking, on-site check in, rooms generally and breakfast are good. The app based check in requiring identity documents is irritating. The bar was not adequately staffed resulting in us and many others going elsewhere? Staff are professional, helpful and very welcoming. Super location and the room very clean although this time I found the bed to be too firm which I have not experienced there before.
Perfect location in front of Picadilly station.
Really impressed. This is the second or third time I’ve stayed here. Definitely, I’ll be coming back. Neat tidy, room is fine, and the price is very good. Staff also are really attentive. Thank you so much
Another good stay at a Motel One that I cannot fault.
Nice environment and atmosphere. Staffs were so friendly and helpful
The only issue I had was I couldn’t get the tv to work. As I was only there one night it didn’t bother me
I would say that the property was good in terms of providing a basic place to sleep and the communal areas were very modern and the hotel was clean. However, the room was very dated, the shower weak and it generally not leaving a very positive impression except for a very quick 1 night stay.
Jason (bar) provided excellent customer service skills and professional, while being kind, considerate and friendly. I would recommend this hotel.
Clean and pleasant room with a good breakfast. However it was the helpfulness and the kindness of the staff the made the stay a fantastic experience,
Door didn’t lock, bathroom door forced closed, awful smell of drains in the bathroom, TV didn’t work
Lovely
Excellent hotel, great atmosphere, very convenient location, friendly staff, nice breakfast
This is the second Motel One I've stayed in. The hotel is in a fantastic location to explore the city of Manchester. We were in town to see a concert at the CoOp Live arena- it was so easy to get there by tram and decided to walk back afterwards which was also so easy! We stayed for three nights and found plenty to do within walking distance. The hotel has a beautifully designed lobby. Boasting a fantastic bar with a welcoming and relaxed vibe. It smells lovely too! The rooms have everything you'd expect from a great hotel. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Easy check in and check out. They were also able to store our luggage at check out so we could enjoy the rest of the day before our evening train home! I will definitely be staying again!
Świetna obsługa, świetna lokalizacja.Bardzo czysto superr napewno tam jeszcze wrócę ❤️😊🌹

Twój Motel One z pszczołą – symbolem Manchesteru
Witamy w Manchesterze – mieście muzyki! Zwiedzanie tego miasta na północnym zachodzie Anglii nieodzownie łączy się z muzyką: stąd pochodzą zespoły Oasis, The Smiths, Stone Roses i Take That.
