The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are clean, and breakfast is plentiful. Unfortunately, there is no minibar in the room.
- Overall a very good location and a motel one in the usual standard with good, clean rooms. - Quite a lot of the rooms only face to an internal courtyard, which takes away from the experience. - The wifi was much too slow most of the time, compared to a 2025 experience in a similarly sized hotel. - The area around the breakfast buffet is a bit dense. A different arrangement could ease congestion. - Nice that the EV chargers are, at least for now, free to use. The installation in the very last spots makes them a bit hard to maneuver in and out of.
Overall I like the hotel very much, and the design elements are fantastic, staffs are all very friendly. One thing I have to nitpick is even though I understand it's economic hotel, at least I would expect some glass for brushing my teeth or drink tea/coffee, also I would much hope there'll be small towel available.

a very nice and designed hotel on a top location. close to a nice parc , shuttle stop to cruise ships and short walking distance to the main areas. I really enjoyed my stay and loved the rooftop (no bar service but 24/7 at the ground floor or bring your own). the rooms are the Motel One standards like everywhere else. some are with a nice terrace to the courtyard on first floor.
Our visit was pricier than usually in a Motel One, maybe it was some occasion in Barcelona, it was the middle of October. Overall as usual clean room / bathroom, staff was friendly. Breakfast plenty and various. We had a good stay, could walk to many parts of the city, taxi- right outside usually. Public transport close as well.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. Clean room, comfortable bed, quiet. The only thing i would like you to change, is to have the rooftop open (without working any bar or something) all night. I am a smoker and i would like to sit and enjoy a drink with the night view of Barcelona. Because the other option is to smoke at hotel entrance standing.
Staff was really kind and available. However the room quality is disappointing, taking into account the high price we've paid. Room is very small, air conditioning system is so poor that even enabled at max level in 1h it was hot and unbreathable in the room. Opening windows is not an option, because of an extremely noisy road. Noise level coming from the hotel hallway is horrible, we could hear cleaning ladies doing vacuum cleaning, other clients slapping the doors. We could also hear every word of everyone passing in the hallway, which was constant (I precise, our room door was obviously closed). We had pretty bad nights and even during the day, when we were back to the room to relax for a hour or two - it was impossible due to noise. Also, if we are not mistaken, we've booked a room with a view. How disappointed we were, finding out that the view is actually a tree in front of our window and nothing more. Our experience in REC hotel last year was way more pleasant and less expensive (we've been there in october as well).
Modern room with comfortable bed. The staff is very friendly and efficient. They found us a room having arrived early. The only negative is the noise level, you can hear normal conversations on the next room and sounds coming from the hallway are loud.
Myself & my daughter had a fantastic stay at Motel One.. the professionalism & friendliness of all the staff was top class.. the room was beautiful, so clean..Definitely be back.. have not One negative thing to say...thank you so much.. a memorable visit to Barcelona..
the fire alarm went off in the early hours of the morning, for no real reason, causing panic and despair among the guests
Stay was good with exception to a fire alarm being activated at 00:40 at night, when I had a very important event on the following day. There was no organisation, but, luckilly, all guests went more or less orderly downstairs and waited for 20 minutes to be able to go back to their rooms.
I would give more points, but there are two things that don't allow me to. First, I got a room with a "view" of the neighboring wall, and second, there is no scrambled eggs for breakfast. However, overall, the hotel was okay, very well located, the room was clean and small, but big enough for one night.
Time after tile this is the perfect stay. From breakfast to the comfort of the room. Everything is great. A special thanks to J.Marco from breakfast always the kindest service.
I stayed in room 300 - very nice room. I enjoyed the door that could open to allow the breeze into the very clean room. Staff were awesome and super helpful to answer any questions.
Clean rooms if a little small- fabulous lobby area - friendly and helpful staff.
An outstanding hotel with lovely staff and the best location.
Great location for exploring Barcelona, top service, and all the usual Motel One amenities, including great (real) continental breakfast plus Spanish hams and cheeses at a very reasonable price.
Amazing reception and looby bar, very nice breakfast (not very comfortable seats at the small tables). Too small rooms without any storage space unfortunately.

Clean, Friendly Staff
Nice view on the park but the window isolation is not good, neither are the curtains, thus making it difficult to stay on the small table or even the full room, and I was not there is summer. Table & chair not comfortable as size, so not really possible to work on a computer. In general, very small for such a pricing. The breakfast was super good though and well located, hence the rather good notation although very high pricing.
Excellent hotel with fabulous facilities in a fantastic location
The stay at the hotel wasn't bad. The worst part was the dirty plates during breakfast. It seems that the dishwasher in the hotel doesn't work properly - the plates were dirty, especially on the bottom, and sometimes there were dirty forks.
For the price paid… nothing special. Small room, without any view, just wall outside. Aircon no possible to switch off… no kettles in the room….
Great room, helpful staff and good recommendations for nearby restaurants. Bar was busy at breakfast and worked more efficiently when the staff clearing tables used a trolley rather than trays. Food was good though and we found a table OK even at peak times.
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night pre-cruise. Excellent hotel situated across the road from a large park. Convenient for a short taxi ride to the cruise terminal. Very good continental breakfast and staff very friendly and helpful.
Very pleasant staff at the front desk. They accommodated my request for a quiet room (end of the hall, away from elevator lobby). Storing luggage after checkout was simple. Location is EXCELLENT, as it's very central.
The double rooms are too small for people traveling for work
we had a wonderfull stay, the room was clean, shower was nice, people are friendly and you use the correct rum to make a mojito ;) only things to make the stay better would be a small fridge and coffeemaker in the room and the selection at the breakfastbuffet could have been a bit larger (though everything that was there was good).
Great hotel, friendly staff, value for money. Top location accross the parc, good breakfast and comfortable rooms. Only reason I did mot give a ten out of ten is tje lack of coffee/tea facilities in the room.
As always, a relaxing stay with great accommodation and extremely helpful staff. That’s why we always return to Hotel/Motel/Cloud one.
Our 4 night stay in Barcelona at MotelOne was fantastic. My wife and I were exhausted when we arrived early. The reception service was outstanding and very welcoming. Our room was great, the breakfast buffet had a nice selection, and the evening drinks in the bar were on spot. We loved the decor throughout. Very clean with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere!

Virkelig lækkert udvalg til morgenmaden! God beliggenhed i forhold til at komme til fods rundt i Barcelona. Selvfølgelig kunne det godt ligge mere centralt, så de ting der lå vest for Rambla var tættere på - men vi havde friske ben :) Og så må jeg bare sige, at personalet - alle vi havde kontakt med - var super søde og smilende og hjælpsomme og rare. Vi var der under strømafbrydelsen, og det blev også håndteret til topkarakter. Og der var i hvert fald ikke meget negativt at komme efter, men hvis vi alligevel tænker lidt over det, så: Udsugningen i baderummet kunne godt være mere effektiv, det havde været lækkert at kunne caste til rummets tv, og så lugtede der en smule af, ja, våd sten, på værelset når vi kom hjem. Men altså, vi nævnte det ikke for personalet, så værre var det ikke, og havde vi sagt det, så er jeg ret sikker på at de havde gjort noget ved det.
Jeg er tilfreds , har ikke noget at klage over😊.
Det eneste minus er at dørene til værelserne smækker så hårdt i at man kan høre det meget tydeligt inde på værelset når andre gæster lukker / smækker deres dør i. Det er meget højlydt og meget irriterende. Det bør der kigges på. Jeg ved fra andre hoteller at det er muligt at få døre til at lukke helt stille og roligt af sig selv.

Rent og pænt hotel. Meget serviceminded personale. Vi ved, hvad vi skal forvente, da konceptet er ens overalt. Vi havde mistet en iPhone i Barcelona, som blev fundet og indleveret i receptionen på hotellet efter, at vi var taget hjem. Vi fik fantastisk service hos hotellets personale, som jeg talte og mailede med flere gange. De pakkede telefonen, så vi kunne få den afhentet af DHL. Vi har været adskillige gange på Motel One i Barcelona, Hamburg og Berlin, og det er bestemt ikke sidste gang, vi kommer.
Blev mødt af de venligste front desk personale vi har oplevet på de rejser vi har foretaget. Atmosfæren på hotellet var afslappet og særligt tagterrassen var virkelig kærkommen og et super dejligt sted at nyde en kold tår at drikke og få slappet af.
Fint centralt hotel med venligt personale og en skøn tagterrasse. Værelserne er små, men pæne og rene. Udsigten til parken er helt fænomenal. Det trækker lidt ned at tagterrassen først åbner kl 11, hvilket føles som spild af en god mulighed om morgenen og at morgenmaden er temmelig dyr i forhold til det meget lille udvalg.
Top værelse med skøn terrasse. Morgenmad og baren fungerede perfekt under vort ophold. Alle var super venlige. Manglede cromcast eller lignende setup på tv'et
Venligt og hjælpsomt personale, God morgenmad Super rent Location var ok, men alt for mange hjemløse i telte i parken - gav utryghed når man rejser med et lille barn.

Prisvenlige designhoteller i Barcelona – dit Motel One
Barcelona er ikke kun Spaniens anden største by og hovedstaden i Catalonien, men imponerer i den grad også på den arkitektoniske, kulinariske og kulturelle front. Byens mest kendte bygningsværk er kirken Sagrada Família, der ligger lidt uden for centrum. Den romersk-katolske basilika er tegnet af den verdensberømte arkitekt Antoni Gaudí og blev påbegyndt i 1882. Byggeprocessen må siges at være trukket noget i langdrag, for kirken er stadig under opførelse, og datoen for dens endelige færdiggørelse er fortsat ukendt. Bygningen er et af de mest fascinerende eksempler på modernistisk catalansk arkitektur.
Sagrada Família er Barcelonas vigtigste vartegn og er synlig fra hele byen med sine høje, kegleformede tårne. Kirken er dog langt fra Gaudís eneste mesterværk. Arkitekten har nemlig præget Barcelonas bybillede som ingen anden. Andre kendte værker fra hans hånd tæller Parc Güell og Casa Milà. Den store bypark Parc Güell med det farvestrålende dragespringvand og de snoede serpentinerbænke indbyder til afslapning i fantasifulde rammer, mens Gaudí med Casa Milà har formået at tegne en spektakulær bygning helt uden rette linjer.
Barcelonas gamle bydel ligger ikke langt fra hotellet og begejstrer med sine krogede gader, gamle huse i spansk byggestil og tapasbarer på snart sagt hvert et gadehjørne. Især i bydelene Raval, Ciutat Vella og Gràcia samt Barrio Gotico er det en fornøjelse blot at følge menneskestrømmen og drysse rundt på må og få.
Barcelonas bankende hjerte udgøres dog uden tvivl af den mere end 1,2 km lange promenade Las Ramblas. Promenaden forbinder havnen med den centrale Plaça de Catalunya og er kendt for sine utallige caféer, restauranter, gadekunstnere og forretninger. Her finder du også det berømte marked Mercat de la Boqueria, hvis salgsstande bugner af frisk frugt, grønt, kød, fisk og søde sager af højeste kvalitet. Følger du Ramblaen, kommer du til sidst til havet og Barcelonas dejlige bystrande: Barceloneta, Icària, Mar Bella og Sitges. Strandene ligger til dels lidt uden for centrum, men med offentlig transport fra hotellet er du hurtigt fremme alligevel.
