Great location. We used this hotel a few times. Great service. Comfortable rooms. Only criticism is the Wi-Fi isn’t always working. We usually use Motel one whenever we travel.

First time in a motel one ,easy check in friendly efficient staff,breakfast was plentiful and breakfast room staff all smiles ,looked after the luggage when we checked out .Room clean And comfortable water hot nice decor highly recommended will certainly use this chain again
The air con wasn’t working in room and was very warm which was nice when first came in but prefer sleeping with a cooler room. Also the cushions for pillows felt strange for what I am used to sleeping on. Very lovely having the fire place effect on the TV as you entered the room. The toilet was a little high compared to most other toilet heights.

I enjoyed my stay and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. All the communally areas were clean although there were tables in the bar area were left uncleared for some considerable time. As for the room I found the mattress very firm and the pillows very uncomfortable. The quality of the toiletries was poor and it was difficult to get a good hot shower. I was pleasantly surprised how quite the room was and there was no noise from the other rooms.

Had previously stayed in Edinburgh Royal this time princess street both excellent, rooms tidy group of 19 of us stayed no complains from anyone really enjoyed it and really well priced thank you

All staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. They were concerned that everything was ok and we were enjoying ourselves and asked us if we needed anything. The hotel is in a perfect location and was very clean and well decorated. We had a fantastic stay.

It was in a very good location. Everything was clean, and the room was cosy. Breakfast was simple but good, and the staff was super nice. The bed comfy, my only "complaint" was the pillows the were so stiff and large.
I was really impressed by the customer services received by all the employees, especially the ones at the front-desk. Very polite, friendly and always there to help you and feel welcomed 5 stars for the staff The only thing I was a bit disappointed about is related to the breakfast: I chose to have it because on the website said "scrambled eggs" but there were none. But at least there were boiled eggs. Therefore, I still had my eggs to start the day
Room was much smaller than we have had during a previous stay with only one very small window. No air circulation in room due to position of room. As the hotel had chosen to turn off the air conditioning function and had left all rooms on a heating function it was unbearably warm and stuffy. We did obtain a fan from reception but this was noisy and not overly effective. Despite turning the heat in the room off the moment we arrived, the inability to cool the room down did sadly let our stay down significantly. We stayed out of the hotel as much as possible, returning only to sleep and leaving as early as possible the next day. We did not frequent the bar area or stay for breakfast.
Absolutely fantastic location, alongside the wonderful staff! Beautiful room and overall a lovely place. The bar was just stunning, relaxing but with a great ambiance. Thank you for a wonderful stay, made the trip to Edinburgh all the more special and memorable! :)

Room was tiny and no view. Poor amenities. You had to open a cupboard (pull down) and that blocked entry to bathroom. It was a real pain. Location close to station which was a priority for us. Difficult to find though as entry around the corner not Princes st.
Always love staying at the Princes Street Hotel! Fabulous location. Hotel clean and staff cannot do enough for you.

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location. Room and breakfast were both excellent and all the staff I spoke to were lovely. It was a bit warm in the room but I loved that the windows could be opened and the view to Calton Hill was amazing. A choice of pillows/duvets would be helpful as those provided were a bit big/heavy for me.
We experienced a lovely time at Motel 1. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. As it was my birthday, they had gone the extra mile and had written a birthday message for me with sweets left in our room.
Stayed in the Motel One on Princes Street for a birthday trip and the team made it a lovely birthday. The room was comfortable, great location and the breakfast was amazing.

Room 203 noisy backing on to a bar. No fault of the hotel but not great hearing bottles getting tipped into the bin several times.
Nice place and clean Good location My biggest issue was no tea facilities in the room and at £119 a night id expect that. There was also no plug sockets by the side of the bed,

Had a great 1 night stay, room was a big, spacious, clean with a great shower and an amazing view. Loved the fireplace on the tv created a very cosy ambience. The bar was lovely with reasonable priced wine. Location was fantastic as a solo traveller it was close to station, tram stops, tourist spots and a great shopping centre, would definitely stay again on my next trip to Edinburgh!
