Girl on check-in and check-out (same person) was excellent. Very pleasant and friendly, a great front desk person !
Motel One my first choice hotel anywhere in Europe. I’ve stayed in the three in Manchester and never had to complain about anything.
The motel one hotels are of a very good standard. Clean fairly spacious, big beds, small but more than adequate bathrooms. The two ive stayed at have good lobbies. My slight nause that despite informing reception and one of the staff followed me to observe the TV. There is something wrong with the TV feed, the picture flickers, breaks up into small squares and the sound stops. The last 4 rooms i have stayed in at the piccadilly Station motel one suffers from it, i was on different floors too. It is an issue which needs correcting please. Thank you

First stay here, lovely city view room, clean, quiet, good quality towels, tea and coffee in room, no complaints.
It’s always all great but always disappointed at the air conditioning never working no matter which room or motel one I stay in. I have to ask at reception several times during a stay.
Shower not very warm. No biscuits with the coffee and tea. No night table by bedside.
Took 50 minutes to check in, complications with your system. One person helping whilst one just starred at the otehr person. Then, eventually, when I was checked in, you assigned a room to me that was occupied by some else. This is completely violates peoples privacy. Its a huge safety and theft risk if this happens a regular basis. I came downstair to tell people at check in and they didn't even apologise - awful terrible service. I will be writing a formal review on every associated website possible due to how bad your hotel was. Yo ualso still haven't sent my invoice!
For price and location, you really cannot go wrong. It is right by Piccadilly and very convenient for work travel. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a strong, damp smell that was quite overpowering and lingered into the room, which really impacted comfort. On top of that, the fire alarm went off around half midnight and was extremely loud. There was no apology or explanation afterwards, which was disappointing given the disrupted sleep. Overall, it was fine for a short stay, but unpleasant smells and broken sleep are hard to overlook. 6/10.

I love staying at Motel One Piccadilly in Manchester because it's so convenient. You can tell it's a German chain (who doesn't like and appreciate German efficiency and reliability?). The rooms are definitely a case of function over form but they are comfortable and usually good value for money overall. The shower can be a bit hit-and-miss sometimes.
Welcoming staff, quiet and clean room, comfortable bed. Shame about the fire alarm in the night.
Hi folks, another lovely stay with you. However, there was a strong smell from the drains in the bathroom which was quite unpleasant. I had to cover the shower and sink drains overnight with towels to stop it.
I have stayed here before all normally fine but and 00-18 the fire alarm went off for what seemed like 10 mins, which I could not sleep again

Great hotel in excellent location just wished I could have stayed longer!
The quilt on the bed was very light. The tram was noisy in the morning plus in.yhe earky hours on sunday morning there was young people making alot of noise in the corridors. No phone in the bedrooms to co tact reception is a nuisance and no.iron.and ironing board in the room is uncommon.
Really appreciated assistance at check-in as pointed out that I could get a better rate by booking direct with the hotel.
Well located near to train station. Clean, comfortable room. More coffee and milk in room would avoid asking for extras on a daily basis.
Warm greeting by reception , clear instructions on room key and facilities at the hotel . Very comfortable room , cosy bed , excellent bathroom and to enjoy a morning cup of tea was great .

Staff were great and very helpful. Hotel is in a great location to get about the city. Only small fault I would have is the rooms aren't very big but it wouldn't put me off coming back.
Hotel was geweldig, ontbijt en met name de koffie en sinaasappelsap kunnen wel beter. Personeel uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Top hotel.
Well placed, friendly hotel. Clean albeit minimal space in the bedroom.
Staff lovely. A table or locker at each side of the bed would be useful. A separate toaster etc for gf bread in the morning. I had to go elsewhere for breakfast. Germany is fabulous and they have amazing gf rolls so why can’t UK have them?
Everything was almost perfect. My one complaint is that the room was a little too warm even with aircon on lowest temp.
stayed before and will stay again, but not on a saturday or any day when the rate is so high - consider giving loyal customers a break when they book two or three nites, even when stay includes a satrday - ps fid have breakfast last stay, it was good value and quality.
The hotel is in a great location and the front desk staff were excellent very friendly and knowledgeable.
Lange Wartezeit einen Aufzügen, teilweise bis zu 4 Minuten, obwohl es drei Aufzüge gibt. Führte beim Checkout dazu, dass auf Etage sieben circa sechs Leute dann irgendwann vor dem Aufzug standen Es gab sehr viel Lärm in der Nacht bis 2:00 Uhr nachts und das ganze ging dann ab 8:00 Uhr weiter, wenn die Putzkräfte auf der Etage waren

Really good value for money. I was a solo traveller for the night and felt really safe too. The TV was a bit dated with not many channels but to be honest, it doesn’t really affect the stay as if we’re all being real we all use our phones anyway and what was on was adequate enough for background noise. Great nights sleep as the mattresses were brilliant, can’t complain about anything even if I wanted to.
Chosen for the location and value for money, I booked direct and checked in online as I was arriving late. The reception staff were friendly and I appreciated the member free water. Excellent bathroom, the bedroom was small but okay for a single traveller although some of the soft furnishings colour choice not great, especially the brown carpet made it look old fashioned. Check in on the app was a little clunky as there’s no ID cards in the UK but it accepted my driving licence information without problems. Unfortunately I had clicked business trip, then had to input all sorts of company information, completely unnecessary. As a German I found the German confirmation screens and the European socket next to the bed funny but I’m sure you can do better.

Lovely one night stay- friendly staff and comfortable room perfect for a short stay. We were at the OA for a show and it was close enough to be able to walk there. There were enough choices close by for dinner before the show and we chose not to have breakfast in the hotel. It looked good.
Breakfast was basic and not very tasty. The rooms were fine. Good shower. The bed however if far too soft the same with the pillows a very uncomfortable sleep

From checking in to checking out staff are friendly & professional. We so enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay again.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Lobby and all the other parts of the hotel were clean and tidy. Room was great and bed comfortable. One minor issue - the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working so it got a bit steamy when showering. All in all though a positive experience.
Overall happy with hotel except for breakfast which whilst was fine good but expensive for what it was
Excelente ,me senti muy comoda ya que no sabia ingles pero me senti muy comoda no saber el idioma no fue ningun impedimiento el personal fue muy amable ,lo que si podrian tener en consideracion es incluir un desayuno cuando uno esta mas de tres o dos noches en el hotel in abrazo desde chile
I've stayed at various Motel One’s over years. Was a last-minute booking so appreciated early check-in. Unfortunately the pub next door was drilling all afternoon into side of building next to my room (201). The bathroom door was also warped and wouldn’t close. I flagged this with front of house staff more so you knew about as didn’t need to change rooms (although nothing was offered either). I noticed the cleaning standards in this Motel One weren't as good as normally with stains on the fabric of chair and some in bathroom areas. It’s next to train station and cheaper rate than others but a shame it wasn’t at least on a basic level better. The staff were friendly. I think standards could be improved in this hotel even if do offer cheaper rates as the location is very good if catching an early train.
