Amazing hotel! The only thing is that I wish there was a mini fridge, but everything else was perfect! The location is great and the rooftop bar was lovely.

I am Catalan. Born in Catalonia visiting my hometown so I'd love to see Motel one embrace the language Catalan as you do with Spanish.

We had the most perfect experience in the hotel. The stuff was most helpful and kind and efficient, we received all the information and recommendations we needed, always with a smile. We will definitely come back, needless to mention the location and the spotless room, just perfect.
I recommend this hotel especially for its very advantageous position, the bus station is very close and you can get to the center very quickly, the room is clean and the area is quiet, the only points where even if they appear as a criticism and I would not have wanted to point them out, the breakfast should be more diversified and the towels were not changed during the entire period but I was wrong not to notify the reception, and I really wish that this would not happen again. The reception staff is extraordinary and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The hotel staff was very polite, accommodating, and always greeted with a smile. The facilities and rooms were clean. The lounge and breakfast was delicious. Definitely would stay here again.
Hotel is very good located. The hotel staff was very helpful, I appreciate the possibility to leave the luggage in storage room before check in as well as after check out. Cosy restaurant, nice room - hotel has good vibes 🙂
Virkelig lækkert udvalg til morgenmaden! God beliggenhed i forhold til at komme til fods rundt i Barcelona. Selvfølgelig kunne det godt ligge mere centralt, så de ting der lå vest for Rambla var tættere på - men vi havde friske ben :) Og så må jeg bare sige, at personalet - alle vi havde kontakt med - var super søde og smilende og hjælpsomme og rare. Vi var der under strømafbrydelsen, og det blev også håndteret til topkarakter. Og der var i hvert fald ikke meget negativt at komme efter, men hvis vi alligevel tænker lidt over det, så: Udsugningen i baderummet kunne godt være mere effektiv, det havde været lækkert at kunne caste til rummets tv, og så lugtede der en smule af, ja, våd sten, på værelset når vi kom hjem. Men altså, vi nævnte det ikke for personalet, så værre var det ikke, og havde vi sagt det, så er jeg ret sikker på at de havde gjort noget ved det.
Lovely hotel and great location! Bathroom received 9 rating due to no washcloths. Bar received 9 rating as purchases could not be charged to the room. It would have been nice to have in room coffee service because my husband is an early riser. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was helpful and spoke English. Thank you for a nice stay!
We arrived early, and without question, we got an early check-in. Great location, very clean, and the staff were very nice. Would book again.
Everything about this hotel is excellent: the location, the invariably helpful and friendly staff at reception, the breakfast, the bar, the rooftop terrace and the midcentury vibe. If I only gave a 8 to room and bathroom it’s because they ar me a little small but more than adequate. Can’t wait to return!

Very clean room but very low on the usual niceties you'd expect at a hotel for this price. So no kettle, wardrobe (though there were hangers and a sort of wardrobe 'space') and the bed/aircon combo meant that I was simultaneously hot AND cold at the same time. I didn't sleep well. The staff however were great and the bar prices surprisingly very affordable (though coming from the UK it's maybe not so surprising). The fan in the bathroom didn't work very well, if at all.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, beautiful design and furnishing, very modern and clean. We couldn't have been happier. The bar was open late and very welcoming athmosphere.
A wonderful experience in Barcelona and the Motel One Hotel contributed to that, the staff was very friendly and kind, accessible... the location couldn't be better, everything is very close and you can walk everywhere, which is a big advantage, my boyfriend and I will definitely come back again.
Very nicely kept with friendly and efficient reception staff, excellent location of the hotel. Not so good: the rooms are tiny even for Motel One standards and the bathroom with its insufficient ventilation and 'cheap' shower sub-standard. You must not further reduce room standards for more money.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in Barcelona that’s still within walking distance of the city's main attractions—especially the enchanting Old Town—One Motel is a fantastic choice. Tucked away from the city's hustle and bustle, the location strikes the perfect balance between tranquility and convenience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which set the tone for a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was lovely, with fresh options to start the day, though we would have appreciated a bit more variety over the course of our visit. Our room was practical and comfortable, with very good mattresses that made for restful nights—at least when the window was closed. Unfortunately, we had a room facing the inner courtyard, and keeping the window open at night proved difficult due to noise from the air conditioning units. If you're a light sleeper, we definitely recommend requesting a street-facing room. Despite that minor drawback, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The overall experience, especially the quiet yet central location and the warm hospitality, made it a great base for exploring Barcelona. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. But next time, with a room facing the street.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The property was located within walking distance of most of our destinations. The cost, was a little high, especially without them providing any amenities. No coffee, 1 soap, no other toiletries. The cost for the breakfast, for what was provided was also to much . We ate out for half everyday. Our room was small, for our extended stay, but we adapted. We would stay here again, now being more aware of these few negative things.
We loved staying at Motel One in Barcelona - yet again. The location is lovely and the staff make everything easy. The room is fine, the breakfast is wonderful, and we will be staying again.
Super clean and stylish hotel! The place is modern with really nice design and lighting — everything feels thoughtfully put together, and it actually looks just like the photos and description, which is rare these days! Location is great too — right in the city and super close to metro and bus stations, which made getting around really easy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were always cleaned properly every day. The bar area had everything you’d need, and honestly, it’s worth checking out before heading to other bars in the city. We tried the hotel breakfast once — it was totally standard and had everything you’d expect. We only went once because we also wanted to explore other breakfast spots around the city, but for the price, it was definitely decent. Only small downsides: there was no ventilation in the bathroom, and the rooftop bar closed at 8 PM — though that might’ve just been because of the season. Other than that, everything was great. We really enjoyed our stay and totally recommend this place to others!
A nice hotel. A rather small room, but clean and with all amenities required. An excellent breakfast and kind employees. A great location to visit the city and the beach (with nearby metro). Excellent tapas bars/restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Decent hotel in great location. Rooms not too big, clean and fresh but no tea/coffee facilities, no fridge, no wardrobe- only basic hanging rail. Low season so bar on roof only open for couple of evenings. Very expensive for what facilities there are.
we enjoyed our stay very much- being English we were disappointed that we didn't have a kettle and drink making facilities in the room or even a fridge to store drinks- A TV guide would also have been helpful. Our room was clean and well maintained by the housekeeping staff- we especially enjoyed the view we had- we did pay a lot of money for this room and the benefits were lacking in the room.
Overall good. Front counter staff were very professional and hotel room was very clean with daily housekeeping service. Only downfall was breakfast which was very inadequate. We showed up a little kate on day one and food and coffee machines were all closed and picked up at 1100 although we were still sitting and beginning to eat our breakfast. Found this very un-courteous and very unprofessional. Don't waste your money!! Also, our TV was not working for the first two days we were there. I went to the front desk and asked for batteries for the remote. Unfortunately this did not help. After more work I found ot the TV was not plugged in behind the TV set???
Great staff, great hotel in general (atmosphere, style, offering at bar incl. rooftop, breakfast, location). It was my third stay and more will follow. Only slight improvement: More storage space for clothes in the room.
We had a very nice stay at the hotel. It is very clean and personel is very kind. The breakfast was excellent and the lobby a good place to stay for a longer time.
We were very pleased with our recent stays at Motel One. Location across from the park, access to Arc de Trionf transport hub as well as proximity to El Born can't be beat. Breakfast buffet was excellent and great value. Rooms were functional and always cleaned daily. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We plan on returning to Barcelona soon and will make our base at Motel one without hesitation.
Hotel is in a great location, easy to get around the city by foot and/or metro without being in the middle of the tourist areas. I especially loved being right next to the park, a beautiful and peaceful area to take in history and beauty.

Det eneste minus er at dørene til værelserne smækker så hårdt i at man kan høre det meget tydeligt inde på værelset når andre gæster lukker / smækker deres dør i. Det er meget højlydt og meget irriterende. Det bør der kigges på. Jeg ved fra andre hoteller at det er muligt at få døre til at lukke helt stille og roligt af sig selv.

Rent og pænt hotel. Meget serviceminded personale. Vi ved, hvad vi skal forvente, da konceptet er ens overalt. Vi havde mistet en iPhone i Barcelona, som blev fundet og indleveret i receptionen på hotellet efter, at vi var taget hjem. Vi fik fantastisk service hos hotellets personale, som jeg talte og mailede med flere gange. De pakkede telefonen, så vi kunne få den afhentet af DHL. Vi har været adskillige gange på Motel One i Barcelona, Hamburg og Berlin, og det er bestemt ikke sidste gang, vi kommer.
Blev mødt af de venligste front desk personale vi har oplevet på de rejser vi har foretaget. Atmosfæren på hotellet var afslappet og særligt tagterrassen var virkelig kærkommen og et super dejligt sted at nyde en kold tår at drikke og få slappet af.
Fint centralt hotel med venligt personale og en skøn tagterrasse. Værelserne er små, men pæne og rene. Udsigten til parken er helt fænomenal. Det trækker lidt ned at tagterrassen først åbner kl 11, hvilket føles som spild af en god mulighed om morgenen og at morgenmaden er temmelig dyr i forhold til det meget lille udvalg.
Top værelse med skøn terrasse. Morgenmad og baren fungerede perfekt under vort ophold. Alle var super venlige. Manglede cromcast eller lignende setup på tv'et
Venligt og hjælpsomt personale, God morgenmad Super rent Location var ok, men alt for mange hjemløse i telte i parken - gav utryghed når man rejser med et lille barn.
Rummene er meget små og mit værelse var meget fugtigt - så meget at jeg følte at jeg sov med våde håndklæder .
Vi er fan af denne hotelkæde, hvor vi har været på flere forskellige destinationer. Denne gang Barcelona. Altid fine omgivelser, venligt personale Vi har booket i Berlin til sommerferien

På vores Motel One Barcelona-Ciutadella kombinerer vi typisk spansk byggestil med regionalt producerede designmøbler og henter inspiration fra den omgivende flora og fauna. Faktisk er resultatet så enestående, at du hurtigt glemmer, at du egentlig kun er her for at overnatte. I receptionen med dens karakteristiske cementfliser, i de hyggelige lænestole fra den spanske designer Patricia Urquiola, på de smukke tæpper fra det lokale firma Nanimarquina: Overalt på hotellet inddrager vi den naturlige atmosfære fra den nærliggende park. Pendellamper fra designhuset Bocci leder tankerne hen på blomsterbuketter, mens gulve af spansk natursten giver indretningsdesignet et rustikt touch. Et stort udendørsområde med lounge indbyder til afslappende stunder under åben himmel.
På vores værelser går det naturnære design ligeledes igen: Boxsengenes hovedgærde er udsmykket af den unge illustrator Lara Costafreda, der har ladet sig inspirere af temaerne planter, natur og jungle. Selvom Motel One Barcelona-Ciutadella altså absolut er værd at opholde sig på, må du selvsagt ikke helt glemme Barcelonas mange spændende attraktioner. Ikke langt fra hotellet finder du parken Ciutadella, der indbyder til afslappende gåture i det grønne. Andre vigtige seværdigheder tæller UNESCO-attraktionen Sagrada Familia, kirken La Catedral, den pulserende Rambla og den centrale plads Plaça de Catalunya. ¡Benvinguts a Barcelona!
