Lage des Hotels ausgezeichnet. Zimmer groß, aber es fehlen jegliche Ablagemöglichkeiten sowohl im Zimmer als auch im Badezimmer. Frühstück insgesamt ok, aber nie wieder aufgrund des verschimmelten Brotes.
Ich war im Cockburn Anbau. Einfach nur furchtbar. Die Wände müssen aus Papier sein. Ich konnte jedoch Wort meiner Nachbarn verstehen. Jedes Mal, wenn jemand auf dem Flur seine Tür geschlossen hat, hab ich nen Schock bekommen. Und das kam rund um die Uhr vor. Egal ob 22:00 oder 3:00. Und der Fußboden quietscht katastrophal. Und zwar im Zimmer und auf dem Flur. Ausruhen / Schlafen fast unmöglich.
Nettes Personal, tolles Frühstück und sehr gut gelegen.
Alles super, wenn im Badezimmer ein Heizung gewesen wäre, wären es die vollen 10 Punkte gewesen. So war es etwas kalt im Bad
Das Personal war super hilfreich und extrem nett, auf Bitte wurde uns sogar netterweise ein Zimmer mit Ausblick gegeben. Die Lounge war ebenfalls toll zum Ausruhen und Arbeiten. Die Lage ist fantastisch. Einziges Manko war, dass die Zimmer schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen waren und nicht immer ganz sauber. Das Bad war allerdings top und sehr sauber.
L’emplacement est idéal. Très calme, propre et bien équipé. Le prix était cher mais c’était le cas pour les autres hôtels aussi en raison du match Ecosse-France.
I had a lovely experience, location is perfect next to everything walking distance from all attractions. Nice big rooms very comfortable, excellent cheap breakfast, I was very happy to stay there.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay. The first night was noisy as the room looked out over a passage way (used by late night revellers and then tourists in the day time). In the morning we asked reception if we could move to a quieter room. Reception staff were very helpful and arranged a better room for us. This was much appreciated.
We loved Motel One! It was a central location, great value, and the views from the window couldn't be beat. We fell in love with Edinburgh and can't wait to be back, and when we are, we'll be sure to book with Motel One again!
Good central location
I enjoyed my stay. My room had a view of New Town, it was quiet, and had just about everything I needed. The decor is appealing and modern. It's in a great location to explore both Old Town and New Town.The only suggestions are to provide hair conditioner and a small refrigerator. Not everyone likes a full breakfast, so it would be nice to store small items like yogurt, juice, and water.
The location is great, but other than that everything could use some improvement. It was freezing cold the whole time, with no option to change that. TV has no way to stream anything or plug your own device. WiFi very slow. Sheets were stained. When getting to the hotel to rest, we were bothered 2 times by the staff to check if the room was serviced.

Very nice hotel, very comfortable beds and a very nice breakfast bar. Personal is also very friendly. It's located extremely well in old town Edinburgh. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
Ich fand mein Zimmer (The Cozy One) erstaunlich geräumig für ein Motel One Zimmer (und habe in vielen bereits übernachtet) - der Ausblick war schön, sonst alles wie bei allen Motel Ones, Personal freundlich - allerdings leicht hellhörig in den Zimmern.
Hotel was perfectly placed for access to the Royal Mile & also Princes Street shopping area. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet, couldn't fault it. Would definitely stay here again
I have stayed in other motel ones for example in Manchester and Newcastle. The rooms seemed to be better than in Edinburgh. The people who checked me in were not friendly. Other staff members were complaining about their shifts infront of guests. Another staff member became argumentative with me when I questioned about air conditioning. It is way overpriced.... I would recommend other motel one but not this one because of general low customer service and price........ and supposedly no air conditioning were we used a fam
Have stopped before and was ok so thought we would stop again but unfortunately was not the same sort of experience. Window did not shut in the room properly so we heard a lot of noise outside. If it was shut it clearly doesn’t seal properly. The aircon that was in the room was not working so the room was very warm. So we could only open the window to cool down the room during the day and hope that was enough to keep the room cool and hope to get some quiet in the evening with it closed but that didn’t end up being the case. No one asked us how our stay was upon checking out so didn’t really have the opportunity to speak to anyone about it.
Brilliant location very friendly staff and great room
The hotel was in a good location. The room itself was very basic but clean. It would be helpful if slippers and a robe were provided, as most travellers don’t pack these items. The hand soap was also nearly empty on arrival, which is unusual for a hotel— you would normally expect it to be topped up for new guests.
Everything was just as you want it to be. Friendly staff, amazing room and the location couldn’t have been better. I am a very happy returning guest of Motel One❤️ heads up for Edinburgh Royal!

Such a convenient place to stay being just by the station. The room was great, lovely, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. The staff were really friendly and had all the time in the world for you. Will definitely be staying again.
La estancia en su hotel en general cumplió nuestras expectativas pero el fallo de la calefacción no estuvo a la altura de su hotel. Si bien nos trajeron un calefactor a la habitación que nos digan que hasta el lunes no lo arreglarían, cuando solo estábamos un fin de semana, no fue una solución para nosotros. Para un hotel de su categoría esperábamos más. También tuvimos que reclamar las aguas por ser miembros...
Hotel was perfectly placed for our stay, very good location just on the edge of Old Town. We did not take the breakfast option as there are lots of options around to choose from. The staff were extremely helpful and the girl at the bar (sorry forgot the name) remembered our order every evening even though we were only there 3 nights. The hotel was very clean and very quiet with very comfortable beds and pillows. I would highly recommend.
We absolutely loved our stay at Motel One Edinburgh-Royal and wouldn’t hesitate to return! From the moment we arrived, everyone on the team was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel itself is in a perfect location in Edinburgh, making it easy to explore the city’s main attractions on foot. After long days of sightseeing, it was wonderful to come back to a cozy, clean, and beautifully designed room. And the breakfast was fantastic! The perfect way to start each morning before heading out to explore. Overall, we had an excellent experience and highly recommend Motel One Edinburgh-Royal to anyone visiting Edinburgh. I had a wonderful stay at motel one! It was modern, clean, very well laid out and very comfortable. The gentleman who booked me in was very helpful and made me feel very welcome...great value for money too.

Mooie kamer, goed ingericht. Vriendelijke personeel. Leuke bar. Goede locatie. Dichtbij de stop van de airportbus .
Wir lieben Motel One als Familie und würden natürlich auch wieder hier buchen falls wir nochmal nach Edinburgh kommen würden. Leider war das Zimmer seeeeehr eng, das ist uns auch teils selbst verschuldet weil wir nicht extra angegeben haben das wir ein Kleinkind dabei haben. Sonst war alles super und das Hotel ist sehr zentral, man kann fast alles zu Fuß erkunden.

Ganz wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer mit Aussicht war traumhaft, die Lage perfekt. Da ich angemerkt hatte, dass mein Partner zum Geburtstag mit dem Aufenthalt überrascht wird, lag sogar ein Geburtstagsgruß im Zimmer.

Unser Zimmer hatte leider ein sehr kleines Milchglasfenster, was wir so nicht gewöhnt sind. Ansonsten Top-Lage, super Personal, gemütliches Interieure.
Service was very friendly, location excellent. Room clean. Negative: Room worn and unfortunately extremely cold! The central heating system was set in such a way that when you turned on the room's central heating, only colder air flowed in. Based on this experience, I unfortunately wouldn't come again. If you can't individually adjust the heating in the room, at least some space heaters in the room for cold nights would be appropriate.

Great location near the station A few nice bars in the area The rooms are very good The hotel is on the corner of a steep bendey hill that goes Up to the royal mile we found it hard work we are in are 70's the castle is at the end of the royal mile A further 1/2 mile all up hil but not As bad . The castle is well worth a visit
My son & I stayed in your Edinburgh Royal Hotel. We had 2 single rooms which unfortunately were on different floors. It would have been nice to have been next door to each other. However both rooms were clean, comfortable & cosy.
Das Hotel ist super gelegen und sehr sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Die Frühstückssituation war schwierig. - Zu viele Stühle auf zu engem Raum mit zu viel Gästen. Die Auswahl/Preis Leistung vom Frühstück ist im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels eher schlecht.
