The experience was overall great. Very nice personnel, good food and comfortable and clean room. The only thing I disliked about the room was heating with AC - it took us a while until the room temperature was acceptable (radiator in the room would be better) Breakfast was good, but I missed fried eggs, bacon and sausages. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.
The location is incredible - right across the road from Edinburgh Waverley train station, so together with the friendly, efficient, dedicated and welcoming staff, it is a really easy choice to stay here, and I will recommend that the team also stay here too! Thanks Erwin especially, for your welcome and always going the extra mile!

From turning up to leaving for home, has been great. All the staff have been extremely helpful and pleasant. In addition, the motel is very close from Edinburgh train station.I will definitely be going again. Even my dog enjoyed being here.
The staff were exceptional. Couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly Bar very nice. Only fault overall was the lack of any sort of view from bedroom window. Will definitely stay again however.

The hotel was lovely and clean. Very spacious comfortable room. Lovely bar/lounge are. The girl on check-in when we arrived was amazing - great attitude, sense of humour and professionalism all-in-one.

Hotel easy to find after coming out of the Railway Station, our welcome at Reception was excellent - very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect and the bar staff couldn't be more helpful. I've written to Sara Kane as my Firm have a Corporate Agreement with your chain and I do all the T&A bookings - just to say how much we enjoyed our stay at the hotel
I stayed at the motel one in Edinburgh 2 times and each time it was wonderful. It is not a “motel” by the American definition of a motel. It is a boutique hotel. It is very well located and walking distance to everything. The rooms are not large but I have stayed in much smaller. The bathrooms are modern. Do not be skeptical when you first arrive. The lobby is located on the second level. This is where they serve breakfast as well you can get a drink or coffee and relax in comfortable chairs at the end of your evening (or anytime ). The lobby is staffed 24 hours. The entrance is locked after 9 pm allowing only guests with keys to enter. The night of Hogmanay they had a security guard located at the entrance which was fantastic. I would say it is really in the best location if you plan to stay there for Hogmanay. A shout out to Thea she was so accommodating. I wish I knew all the staff names bc everyone was lovely.
Hotel was lovely bar area much more modern than everywhere else. The room 420 was far too hotel and the ac did t work when I reported this first thing in the morning I was it's not ac more a ventilation unit and the 4th floor is really hot compared to the others. If I had been told this I would have asked for another floor as we got about 3 hours sleep due to being too hot.

The hotel staff was kind and helpful and the hotel premises are great! I would just have enjoyed a less firm mattress (I stayed in Motel 1 in Hamburg and their mattress was just perfect) and at least another option of eggs in breakfast, like fried or scrambled. Other than that everything was amazing!

J y ai passé 5 nuits cette semaine et c était génial , l accueil du personnel est +++ Très aimable et rendant service , au petit soin de leurs clients , chambre plus grande que ce que je pensais sur les photos , très propre Coin bureau avec du café ou du thé à dispo Petit déjeuner complet ; British ou français selon votre choix , je recommande cet hôtel car en plus le prix est très très abordable ☺️
Love motel one , always welcoming and very clean . Only small fault is this time because of the cold weather the bathroom was really cold .
Wir hatten im Januar das Vergnügen für erfreuliche 75 £ dort zu wohnen und genossen die zentrale Lage, den Blick auf die Altstadt und vor allen Dingen das großartige Pub genau gegenüber.
This hotel from the staff, decor, cleanliness to location went above and beyond our expectations. Everything was perfect and the staff so always helpful and happy. I’ve never stays at Motel One but after looked up the other countries I could come stay. Well done!

This is the place to be when you want a clean well appointed place to stay when you are visiting Edinburgh, the Balmoral Hotel is just across the street (Princes Street)Motel One is perfectly placed. The staff are also incredible, so friendly. I would recommend this Establishment wholeheartedly.
We love staying at motel one and will always choose it wherever we go. The rating was dropped due to constant noise from the cleaning staff, woke us on every morning and was constant until 3/4 pm
We stayed at your property during Hogmanay and greatly appreciated its central location directly opposite Waverley Station, which was very convenient for our train travel. We were allocated a disability-friendly room with extra space, which was beneficial to us. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with an excellent shower. However, while the bed was mostly fine, it did slope slightly to one side, and this caused some discomfort for my wife. We also noticed that coffee pouches were not replenished and used cups were not cleaned, which was disappointing. Your staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed visiting your bar, especially the cocktails and the quality of service provided. Breakfast was satisfactory and offered a decent choice. The Wi-Fi worked well without any problems. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and intend to return on future visits to the city.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, alle waren überaus freundlich und aufmerksam und sofort zur Stelle, wenn etwas benötigt wurde. Obwohl sehr viel los war, kam keine Hektik beim Gast an. Selbst als ich krank im Bett lag, kam die Hausdame und brachte mir einen Tee mit Honig. So süß diese Geste! Der Aufenthalt im Princes war perfekt für uns. Jeder Schottland- Urlaub wird mit dem MotelOne- Aufenthalt gekrönt, egal ob im Royal oder im Princes! Einzige Kleinigkeit: Geschirr, Besteck und die Gläser könnten sauberer sein. Sowohl beim Frühstück als auch an der Bar öfters Rückstände/klebrige Beläge.
It was a lovely experience. Apart from the excellent location, the hotel had all that one would need. The breakfast was also very good though I believe it should be included in the price

Die Lage des Hauses ist wie immer top. Das Zimmer war okay. Aber der Eingangsbereich und die Bar erinnern hier doch sehr an ein Hostel. Hier hatten wir keine Lust, uns aufzuhalten - entgegen sonstiger Aufenthalte in anderen Häusern. Wir sind für einen Drink lieber in das Hotel auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite gegangen.
