Check in and check out process was fast and without any issues. Room was quiet and clean. Breakfast excellent as always in Motel One hotels
I had a very pleasant stay at Motel One Dresden-Palaisplatz. The environment is friendly and welcoming, and the staff speaks English, which made communication easy throughout my visit. The hotel is calm, comfortable, and very clean. The breakfast was good with a nice variety, and the location is also convenient with a fair price. Offering the option of two separate single beds in double rooms would be a helpful improvement, as this would better suit different types of travelers. At check-in, I was not informed about the city map that was available and only noticed it at check-out. It would have been helpful to receive this information upon arrival. Overall, still a very good experience and I would consider staying here again.
There was a hair stuck at one of the pillow, and another in one of the bathroom towels. Curtains look old and dirty. Reception forgot to give me my water and I had to request for it the next day. One of your staff knocked very loudly on my door on check-out day, and walked away when I opened my door. I opened my door again and see her around and ask her why she knocked on my door and she said she cannot understand English. I assumed she was asking about my check-out so I said 12pm since it was listed as 12pm on Google. She knocked at 9am, 3 hours before check-out. Do you need to disturb customers 3hours before check-out?
Good value....room size adequate for a single traveller. Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff
Sightseeing
We stood 01.-03-05.26 in Room 033. The room was very annoying. Climate control not yet working, despite asking for it at reception. Opening the window was de-facto impossible, as the smoke and discussion noice of all these smokers direct in front of the room went straight into the room. The smell of the smoke was really frustrating and created a bad feeling about the hotel and especially the stay in room direct located near-by the smoking area.
In general, everything is fine and I regularly visit the hotel. There was just one issue: the different weather conditions in times of climate change. If you ask your visitors to keep the windows closed (to keep out insects), you HAVE TO enable the air condition depending on the weather, not on calendar dates. A number of room windows, such as mine, are exposed almost plainly to the South, and this weekend, there was full sunshine with temperatures up to 28 °C. Given the small size of the rooms, they heat up pretty quickly. There needs to be a way to cool them down, even before the end of May. Apart from that, everything was fine, as usual. Thanks go out to the staff working there.

This dog room 302 seemed a little smaller than the last one. Very little room to Move.. but great service , good bar tender and breakfast ladies. Happy with parking and everything in general.
Already asked and called several times to receive an invoice. Promised ever time to send out, nothing happens. Terrible front desk service
Been always a pleasure to stay in your hotel especially Palaisplatz in Dresden Neustadt. Workers are nice. Would be nice to have buffet there in the evening with live music!! If you ever want to try, I’m a Cook and Professional Singer too and can entertain your people. Just give me a try.The location is very cool and can attract thousands of people!. Motel one was situated near the train station so took minutes to locate. The room was spotless however it didn't offer tea/coffee facilities but I didn't ask reception if they supplied a kettle
Good location
Overall excellent. Only two things which could be improved: 1. wooden floor in the room instead of carpet. 2. offer in addition a „quick breakfast“ (coffee and croissant, or similar)

I had a pleasant stay. All good.
Modern and nicely designed hotel. Small but efficient room. Friendly staff, not always right away available at the reception. We found parking relatively expensive, especially when you use your car halfway your stay. For no clear reason back entrance closed after 22h although in clear view of reception desk.
All hotel workers were friendly, very welcoming. They were always ready to support us. They were kind even in the breakfast or in the bar during the night. This made me very comfortable.The ladies working in the reception helped me even for carrying the luggages.

Everything was perfect.
The location was perfect for us - a quick walk to anywhere we wanted to be (Alaunstrasse, Hauptstrasse, the Elbe). Rooms were very comfortable and quiet and staff were helpful and friendly.
This hotel was a wonderful place to stay! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location excellent and the parking lot was terrific! We enjoyed the breakfast and the atmosphere in he property. WE will definitely recommend this hotel to our friend who visit Dresden.

Check-in was smooth, but no one offered me a bottle of water as advertised everywhere. At the bar, they mistakenly charged me for an extra beer, but unfortunately, I noticed it too late.

We had a very nice stay and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was ok, but a bit minimal for 18€/person. Our room smelled of the bathroom/sink/toilet when we entered and when we came back. I think the ventilation in the bathroom is not working properly. We opened the window, which made it a bit more bearable.
Everything excellent as usual. The room was maybe a bit tinier than in other Motel Ones. For the period I booked (5th to 7th Dec) the price was a bit too high lowering the usual quality/price ratio. I would suggest to give a free bottle of water for each night of the stay and/or to indicate in the room with a sign if tap water is drinkable. The space for breakfast was very crowded in some rush hours and it would be better to have more tables and chairs rather than using the lounge area with sofas and low tables.
The overall value is great. Everything one would need to sleep in a city far from home. However, our price was very high (210€ for one night) due to high demand. Even more important was that the app stated there is parking and there are charging stations. That's true but it's missing to state that parking is 18€ per night (while street parking would have been free) and charging requires internet to compare rates (and there's no connection in the underground parking lot). I ended up using my Maingau card because it worked but had to pay almost 1€/kWh which is more than double the normal rates. Being expensive is one part - not knowing about it is just bad.

If you want a slightly off the beaten path location that is only feet away from some of the best baroque streets in Dresden, this hotel is the place.

During peak hours at breafast the number of seats wasn't sufficient. Seats in the the lobby were not comfortable to have breakfast.
I really liked the staff, the room was very clean the hotel was quiet and very well isolated. I would just advise to have a little more options for the snacks at the bar with more healthy choices (Kimchi, kraut, soup, salad) and at breakfast too.
Tiny room and very no frills. No fridge and no hot water available.
All positive as usual friendly staff My only negative point is security as everybody can just walk in and take the lift to the rooms.
Rooms are very small. Bed is comftable, i had nice view from the room.

Room, etc. was all good. It was just disappointing that when I asked for parking I was not informed upfront about the cost. 18Eur per night is embarrassing.
In Summe hat alles gepasst.
