Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Ulm - the location of the hotel is just perfect, and the proximity to the Salzstadel carpark is great. The room was comfortable and stylish, the beds were great and made for a good nights' sleep. For this stay I had booked a 'Special One' room, but I felt that there was little difference to the regular rooms I'd previously booked. Whether that was due to a mistake in the room allocation process or simply that there is not that much difference is something that I did not want to spend time exploring. We tried to have a drink in the rooftop bar one early evening, but the member of staff on duty was totally disinterested so we decided to leave. A similar story at reception one morning - the receptionist had wandered off and was not looking round to see if anyone was waiting to be seen. One of the cleaning staff who was nearby answered my question! I know that the hotel in Ulm is a busy city center hotel, but all the same, it would be nice if the receptionists interacted a little more, perhaps a smile or a nod when guests pass?
Very pleasant room! Good room climate, What I missed in my room: A kettle for making coffee or tea. A fridge. I found some old paper (an envelope) from a previous guest, partially hidden behind a curtain. No big deal, but indicates that the cleaning was not 100% perfect. I personally prefer a closed a shower cabin instead of the available semi-open one. But that is a very personal matter of taste. The room is very quiet which is great. However, the ventilation in the bathroom is always on and clearly hearable in the room. Still, the ventilation is not powerful enough to stop fogging on the bathroom mirrors to occur when taking a shower.
I booked “special one room”. Which are rooms, normally on higher floors, with live, view and lots of natural light and, more space, . I stayed many time I Roos like this in Dresden motel one and Munich as well. What we experienced in Ul last 17th October, was a room in first floor, but actually was underground considering we were under a garden plataforma that reached 1/3 of all our windows. Unacceptable. We pay more for less. .

A modern hotel in a great location. We had an accessible room which was spacious and well suited for me as a wheelchair user. Rating it an overall for that there is no possibility to park near the hotel to check in / unload luggage (not the hotel’s fault but still a problem) and for the fact that several items on the menu of the bar were not available/sold out on Sunday evening

My stay was adequate, my room although small was comfortable & clean. What I would like to point out was how awful I was left feeling after being refused entry at the front door due to a bar being set up to facilitate the sale of alcohol during a festival. I was told to use the back entrance although it would have been easy to simply move a table to the side. I was forced to walk a route that I was not familiar with & got lost. I came back & asked someone to show me. I said this is disgraceful behaviour & the man moved the table to allow me access . I feel that the profit & gain of the hotel was put before the needs & comfort of hotel guests ! I am back again on the 8th of August at Ulm to attend a wedding & hope that the hotel can do much better. Kind regards Alexandrea Steinemann
From check in til checkout we had a very good experience The shower glass doesn't keep water from affecting the other parts of the bathroom. I had to be very careful
Great location. Customer service excellent. Very accommodating for us travelling with bicycles.
Perfect location, modern hotel with a beautiful rooftop bar. Beds were comfortable, rooms quiet and breakfast offered many choices. Can't fault the hotel, although the rooms were a bit small if you come with a couple of big suitcases. Would certainly use Motel One again.

the rooms are default motel one, which is a good thing. they are big enough and offer everything needed for short stays (for me anyway). there's a nice small bar under the roof with a small terrace.

Missed eggs or sausage for breakfast. And draft beer.
Everything was fine, apart from a strange noise in the bathroom (water running or the bathroom ventilation fan). We still do not understand why lots of hotels do not provide bidet attachments. We did not have breakfast in the hotel so we are not in a position to evaluate it.

I still don´t understand why left behind things (coffee cup last time) can be stolen by room personnel, obviously the payment is too bad? The breakfast booking was very complicated and did not reach the bookings list.
I like staying in the Motel One hotels. I know what to expect or not to expect. All I need is available. Staff always very friendly and helpful.

Overall, it was a good stay. The only thing I wish Motel One did was put tea and coffee facilities in the room. After a long, cold journey, you get to the hotel room… and there’s nothing to make a tea or coffee with! I really think you’re missing a trick by not having a small kettle in the room. I liked the fireplace setting on the tv though and the fact that I could actually change the thermostat to a warmer setting. You get a good amount of pillows which is good for me because I need multiple. The view from my room of the cathedral was nice. The bathroom did what it said on the tin, nothing special. The one issue I had with it was the extraction fan turned on intermittently and it wad annoyingly loud. I tried the breakfast buffet once. It was decent except there were a lot more low tables than regular ones. Eating breakfast on a coffee table is a bit awkward (the bigger coffee bar table was full so we had to sit at the low tables). The staff were always super friendly which was good and housekeeping did a nice job tidying my room and placing my hot water bottle in pride of place. Overall it wad pleasant for a hotel my company booked, but the sheer fact there is no kettle in the room would stop me booking for myself.
The noise of the fan or air extractor in the bathrooms continues to be an issue, but otherwise the hotel is wonderful.

Everything was excellent except for the bar. Bar was understaffed and chaotic. The ones making cocktails were also walking around taking orders causing long waiting times (up to 20 mins for a drink after order placed) and orders being completely forgotten.
Overall a very pleasant experience. Set up for breakfast was very uncomfortable.

Rundum gute Performance
Our stay was mostly up to the usual standards I expect when I visit Motel One. However, there were a few points I found disappointing with Ulm: - No designated own parking places in the immediate vicinity to the hotel. Rathaus Parking was also very expensive. - The window in our room no. 2.22 was very dirty - The bar was not open until 17:00. No possibility to have your toasts or a drink during the day. Otherwise, apart from a slightly strangely layout Bar on the 5th floor, the evening and breakfast bar staff were extraordinarily friendly and efficient.

Our group of 12 first timers in Ulm, Motel OneMünstetplatz, best place to stay for sightseeing Ulm Münster, Fischerviertel, Danube, Farmers Market, guided tour at beer brewery GoldOchsen, all in walking distance. Great rooftop bar, space for many, comfortable seats, fantastic ambiance, fast dedicated service. Excellent experience.

Miasto to wpisane ma w swoją historię wybitne umysły. Nie bez powodu jest nazywane miastem geniuszy.
Historyczne klejnoty
Ulm ma wiele do opowiedzenia swoim gościom. Zwłaszcza stare miasto, gdzie w każdym zakątku czuć powiew historii.
Zacznijmy od Grabenhäusle. Urocze XVII-wieczne domki w szeregowej zabudowie znajdują się tuż przy zabytkowych murach miejskich. Pierwotnie służyły jako kwatery dla żołnierzy. Nie bez przyczyny: nigdzie indziej nie było lepszego widoku na fosę miejską, popularny cel wojenny. W ten sposób można było szybciej zmusić wroga do odwrotu.
Wracając do Einsteina. Uczonego można spotkać na terenie zabytkowej zbrojowni. Słynny fizyk, jak zawsze zawadiacki i z wyciągniętym językiem, spogląda tu z fontanny Einsteina. Łobuzerski grymas to nie jedyny znak rozpoznawczy rzeźby Jürgena Goertza: woda źródlana wypływa tu wprost z rakiety atomowej. Badaczowi na pewno by się to spodobało.
Idąc dalej w górę, już z daleka widać katedrę ulmską z najwyższą na świecie wieżą kościelną. Niczym pobożny obrońca 161-metrowa wieża czuwa nad swoim miastem. Dasz radę pokonać 768 stopni? Wytrzymaj. Stroma wspinaczka jest tego warta. Przez liczne gotyckie okna zdobione gargulcami można podziwiać starówkę Ulm już w drodze na szczyt wieży. I co najlepsze: przy dobrej pogodzie można w oddali dostrzec nawet Alpy.
Po zejściu warto od razu udać się do dzielnicy rybackiej. Stara dzielnica rzemieślnicza jest, obok katedry, dumą i radością Ulm. I słusznie. Kręte uliczki, wąskie domy z muru pruskiego i idylliczne kamienne mosty to najlepszy motyw na pocztówkę. I koniecznie rozglądaj się za unikalnym Krzywym Domkiem, który uroczo wychyla się z architektonicznego szeregu.
Kolejny „krzywy” unikat czeka przy murach miejskich Ulm. Berblinger Turm – krzywa wieża przechyla się na bok o zawrotne dziesięć stopni. Nie przez przypadek. Od samego początku 20-metrowa platforma była tak pomyślana. Powód: słynny krawiec z Ulm podjął tutaj próbę lotu i choć próba ta się nie powiodła, to dał Ulm wyjątkowy pomnik w postaci wieży Berblingera.
