The lighting in the room was working, but overall the room seemed quite dark even though it had large windows. A table lamp on the desk would be a useful addition.

The room was clean and tidy. The staff were polite. The only reason I gave an overall score of 9 was because 2 of the bathroom tiles were loose and was very squeaky.

I absolutely love staying in a Motel One hotel. The comfort and cleanliness is always to such a high standard. Royal Exchange is in a fabulous location with the city, yet you hear no outside noise once in your room. The staff are very friendly and professional too. Motel One is always my preferred 'go to'
Nice hotel, great location and I'd definitely stay again. Friendly helpful staff. Good value for money. Lovely choice of items on continental breakfast. A few points that could be improved: No bin in bedroom (only in bathroom). No desk in bedroom to work from. Breakfast was chaotic - no logic to how things are laid out. I had to ask where the plates, bowls, glasses were. I couldn't find the orange juice. The layout of the breakfast bar and seating made the area restricted and congested with guests - most of whom were struggling to find items like I was.

Great location, staff were fantastic and room was great.
Check-in was friendly and smooth, room v comfortable, staff just fine, breakfast too and the cost - for a booking kindly arranged for me by a local arts organisation, but I knew of the rate - was also very good. I've stayed before several times, equally satisfyingly, and I would definitely stay at Motel One Royal Exchange again. (It's also easy to get to via fee city bus no. 2 to King Street - just discovered this! Next time I'll figure out how to get back to Manchester Piccadilly train station via free bus...)
My only serious criticism is that the polished bathroom floor and the black shower tray, whilst very stylish, are particularly slippery when wet, which in a bathroom is dangerous. Having once walked into a hotel bathroom with a similar polished floor, slid on the cotton bathmat and cut my head open on the door handle behind me as I fell, I know how serious an issue this can be. I'm surprised your designer made such an error with their choice of tiling and shower design. For elderly guests, I could imagine them feeling insecure and at risk in the bathroom. Otherwise, the hotel was convenient, comfortable and had good amenities.

Only in hotel 1 night but pleasant as always.
Room was quite bleak and not very clean, had to move rooms due to foul smell, staff did help us to move rooms. Air conditioning was a blessing in the heatwave but room did not look as good as I had thought online
The receptionist was very helpful and happy check in was quick and easy. We were so called upgraded but it was to an accessible room which felt too clinical and not a cosy room. Also the tv didn’t work properly we’re unable to get the basic channels

Great first impressions - warm greeting on arrival, hotel was clean and in a great location. The young lady on the reception desk checked me in. She was very professional and the process was smooth and hassle free - she is a credit to the team. My room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. I had a great night sleep - the air con was a blessing. Would 100% visit again when I visit Manchester

The Motel One model provides a service which covers all your needs in an efficient and effective way with the bonus of all staff being very helpfull - nothing is a problem. The room staff are very courteous and provide an excellent service on a daily basis.The athmosphere is at all times welcoming - with a smile.

Very lovely and clean hotel. Perfect location. I wish the room had an iron and ironing board. I asked for one at reception but I was told to bring it back down as soon as possible.

We have stayed at several Motel 1,s and never had any complaints at all. The service from start to finish was excellent. A very clean and tidy hotel, room was fantastic with the joy of air conditioning and the beds were very comfy indeed.
Hotel is in a central location, and a good base for exploring the city. The staff were very friendly and very welcoming upon check in. The room was a good size, it was also very clean and tidy. We would definitely recommend.
Les chambres sont trop petites pour 2 personnes. L’espace au pied du lit et sur les côtés est très réduit, la penderie n’est pas non plus adaptée. Pas de place pour ouvrir deux valises

Excellent hotel in excellent location
Franchement le l’hôtel est très bien je suis resté deux jours pour un trois-étoiles, c’est très très très très bien la chambre est bien, le lit est bien qui a la climatisation le chauffage les salles de bain sont propres et belles franchement très bien
La chambre était vraiment très bien et le personnel était bien veillant et à l’écoute merci à eux. Petit bémols sur le petit déjeuner j’aurais bien voulu qu’il soit plus à l’anglaise mais sinon parfait

J’ai passé un excellent séjour au Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange. L’établissement est idéalement situé, avec un design moderne et une ambiance chaleureuse. Le personnel était accueillant et professionnel, toujours prêt à aider. Ma chambre était propre, confortable, et bien équipée, parfaite pour une nuit reposante. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. Je recommande cet hôtel à tous ceux qui visitent Manchester et cherche un hébergement à la fois élégant et abordable.
Notre séjour dans cet hôtel était fabuleux. Quand nous sommes arrivés, l’accueil par la réceptionniste était vraiment cordial comme si elle nous connaissait bien avant. Le design du bar très rafraîchissent. La localisation su centre de la ville de Manchester facilite tous les déplacements pour faire du shopping et aller au restaurant. Merci beaucoup. Le Motel One Royal Exchange à Manchester bénéficie d'un excellent emplacement. Le personnel à la réception est sympathique et rapide pour répondre à toutes les questions. Dans l'ensemble, le personnel en fait un excellent choix pour un séjour confortable.
Le séjour s'est très bien passé. J'aurais aimé plus de produits d'hygiène dans la salle de bain (conditioner, lait pour le corps) et une vraie offre de restauration au bar. Mais sinon c'était parfait

Hôtel Manchester-Royal Exchange
Le design de notre Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange au style industriel branché rappelle le passé de Manchester alias « Cottonopolis ». Ici tout tourne autour du coton et de sa transformation industrielle. Dans l’entrée, des arcs de six mètres de haut en acier et un mur recouvert de lin vous donnent un avant-goût du thème de l’hôtel. Outre les meubles Baxter et les chandeliers Alturo Alvarez, vous trouverez également des détails tels que des bobines de fil ou des machines à coudre qui viennent compléter le design.
Nous attribuons une mention spéciale à la sculpture en papier « Cottonopolis » de l’artiste Andy Singleton qui transforme des fils de coton fixés au mur en une œuvre d’art.
Notre hôtel est situé directement en face du Royal Exchange Theatre dans le centre de Manchester. L’hôtel de ville, la cathédrale (Manchester Cathedral), le stade Manchester Arena et le Manchester Central Convention Complex sont accessibles à pied.
