It was generally a pleasant stay but unfortunately the otherwise mostly good experience was ruined at check-out. I checked out on May 7th just after 6:30am, asking the receptionist for a printed copy of the bill. To make sure, I had already asked at check-in if I could have a printed copy when I check out an they confirmed this. However, the receptionist at check-out claimed that it was technically not possible -- and worse, he was extremely unfriendly and clearly not service-minded. I asked him if they didn't have a printer that was working but he said it had nothing to do with the printer -- bills could only be sent via email. Clearly, this was a blatant lie because when I picked up my suitcase around 6pm, the receptionist who was now on duty had absolutely no problems printing a copy of the bill for me. Not a good customer experience. Other than that, I found it odd that when asking for an iron on the first day, the receptionist said they only had one iron and that I therefore had to bring this and the ironing board back myself as soon as I had finished. I've never ever stayed at a hotel where I've been asked to carry the ironing board and iron back to the reception myself. My colleagues were laughing and shaking their heads when I told them the story. I also noticed that outside the room opposite of mine, an iron had been placed outside the door -- where it remained for at least two days without anyone from the staff collecting it. Finally, the highlight of my stay: My watch had gone missing and I did not know where (I searched high and low) but apparently room service had found it -- they placed it neatly on the bedside table which I was very grateful for (I left a well-deserved EUR 20 note in the room as finder's fee).

From arrival to departure I greatly enjoyed my stay at Motel One, as I have at other Motel One hotels throughout Europe. Cleanliness and service are of a very high standard and with always a friendly welcome. Motel One is the hotel of first resort for me.
Good position in the city, close to the station. Nice and clean ambient
The hotel was nice and the bar area good. The room was clean but pretty basic. No conditioner and no face cloths in the bathroom which would have been nice.

Everything was overall great.
I had attached my bat caps in the bathroom for it to dry and it was thrown away. I had left one towel on the floor but it was not changed (it was hung at the place of my bathh cap actually). There is no fridge nor coffee machine in the room

Great location, great staff, easy parking with option to charge your electric car. One minor nuisance are the showers, the water easily spills from the edge onto the bathroom floor. Which can easily be solved and is simply a design flaw.
It is not a cheap hotel, and I did not expect the guest to have to bring alone a water bottle into the room. I missed the coffee/tea maker in the room. We had an early flight, I asked if we could get some sandwiches or bakery before leaving the hotel (5 and 15in the morning), and the guy at the reception said it is not possible, (in some other hotels it is since we paid for breakfast that day)
The cleaners came into my room at 9:30am. I was in my bathroom showering. When I screamed, they yelled sorry and went out. I don't understand why cleaners want to enter rooms that aren't checking out at such an early time. The next day, cleaners also knocked my room around 9am. I had to tell them I'm inside once again. If cleaning is required at such an early hour, you should have a better system identifying who's ready for cleaning ('im ready for cleaning'sign).

Motel One is really good chain for staying in hotel with a budget. Good beds, decent sized rooms. I especially like Hackescher-Markt location because of its' convinent location close to all the public transport options. One point goes because Motel-One doesn't have fridges in the rooms. That would make a big difference on my stay.
It is a newer hotel in a good location, was very clean, and the staff was personable and attentive. However, the room was small and the breakfast was disappointing.

I really like motel one and almost always stay here when in Berlin. This time not quite as happy as usual, as i had no air con and although it was cooler than normal for August the room did get quite stuffy. There was an offer to move room on 2nd night, but couldn't move me on 1st night as hotel was full. I didn't really want the trouble of moving room on night 2 as i already had unpacked some of my things, so just stayed in the room. I was really surprised that for a chain the size of motel one there was no maintenance on the weekends to fix the air conditioning.
Great staff, room was nice but a bit small. Esp. the barkeeper during our first night created a great atmosphere and did delicious cocktails.
Hotel was excellent, facilities, the room, everything was perfect except from one thing. Veranda was closing from 22.00 so when I wanted to have a drink outdoors it wasnt possible. The s-bahn starts at 5:00 am and you can hear it but the noise isnt disturbing! And every night there was a very bad odor outside the hotel! Inside the hotel it was ok! In general i recommend this hotel is near the center and hackesher markt where you can find everything! Good prive nice hotel

The hotel was in an excellent location. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff.were polite and helpful. We previously stayed in a Motel one hotel in Amsterdam and liked it so much we booked again for Berlin .The only question we have is the price included taxes and charges, however when we paid our bill city tax was added . We stayed in room 239 at the front of the hotel and the passing trams did disturb our sleep slightly . However we really enjoyed or stay with you .

Another enjoyable stay at our favourite Berlin Motel One. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the bar experience is very relaxed compared to most hotels, and our room was spot on.
Motel One rooms are very clean, and the staff's hospitality was excellent. It was convenient to restaurants, transportation, and shopping. I would stay there again. The rooms and bathrooms are small but adequate for a person alone or a couple. There were a few negatives, such as no refrigerator, but the hotel could hold my medicine. There is no iron or ironing board, either. I should have asked for the bathroom shower, but it would not stay on warm water, so I had to hold it while bathing or else the water would be very hot.
I find this hotel and it's location one of the best in Berlin! The staff are great and the neighborhood is filled with life

Exceptionally warm and welcoming staff at reception (in stark contrast to the bar). The location is excellent and although my room near the elevator picked up a bit of noise from the immediate area, the bed was so comfortable that I ended up having a great sleep.

The hotel, the prices and the rooms were great. The only issue was about the breakfast. We thought it ended at 10h30 but it was 10am. Nevertheless we arrived on time at 9h45, a lady took our room number and we started the breakfast with salty food. After 10mins I spotted that someone was turning off all the machines and removing food from the various stalls. I urgently went to pick up some fruits and a yogurt as this man was removing them. He clearly was annoyed by me, and showed it when I nicely asked for a second to pick up some stuff from what was left. He was working military style. So my wife and I had to rush to what was left to gather what was needed for our breakfast. By 10am, he turned off all the machines, several people had just been accepted in the bfast room by the host, asked for coffee and he responded, it's closed at 10am, you are late. We saw the frustration of several customers not able to complete their breakfast. So my comment will be that, I have never seen any other Hotel with the standing of yours enforcing such strict borderline rude rules to the breakfast ending. When the clock is almost there, there should always be a waiter going around the tables informing politely the customers that if they want something, they should go now as the will soon start removing the food. And most importantly, I do not feel it is right for the breakfast host to welcome guests to a breakfast that is fairly pricey without telling them that they need to rush giving them the choice not to pay for the breakfast. This has tarnished our experience which was otherwise really good.
We had great time at Motel One. The room was clean and cozy. Great location and reasonably priced. The staffs were so friendly and helpful. I will return in future. Highly recommend.
I came back to the same hotel after being satisfied from my previous stay. I’d like to point out that the bathroom shower requires additional cover to prevent shower water to leak on the floor, after every use. In addition, breakfast price is slightly higher than what you would expect given the verity of food, especially if comparing to other cafes outside the hotel.

Naprosto skvělý personál na recepci, velmi vstřícný, opravdu super. Do popisu hotelu bych jen zvýraznila potřebu rezervovat si parkovací místo v garáži
