Really nice hotel in Graz centre Hotel staff very friendly and helpful
Fantastic hotel and staff. Especially “Jimmy” who served us at the bar until 0300 both nights

Everything was fantastic! Food and coffee were delicious, room and bathroom were perfect for my needs, and I loved being next to Jakominiplatz to get anywhere. Any staff I talked to had answers for all of my questions.

On the day of the checkout, I forgot my charger in the room, stored my luggage, went away, and returned around 3. I suppose that the room was cleaned and the charger was found when I went back for my luggage. The service would be truly exceptional if the staff noticed the charger, found out that I was still around, and returned the charger. It's not something I would expect to happen, and it's my fault, but doing that would be mindblowing service. Also, for breakfast, there were no eggs or sausages. This was a mild disappointment.

Flawless hotel, right in the heart of the city with an amazing view over a busy square, but also quiet, due to proper insulation. The staff is excellent too. Everything was perfect.
Service is always consistently and predictably excellent -quite comforting to know when traveling from overseas! Efficient air conditioning was most welcome during the unprecedented heat wave.

As a solo, female traveller in my late sixties, I felt completely safe and at ease in the Hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. My room was bright and very clean with an abundance of mirrors (thank you!), shower powerfully and plenty of towels. The reception area was comfortable and welcoming.

Excellent location, very clean, efficient staff
We stayed Motel on One in Graz. The staff were very welcoming, one of the young men spoke English which was a great help. He also gave us some advice on areas to visit etc. The room was very comfortable, shower great. Lovely that you could pop down and have a drink/coffee without leaving the premises. Highly recommend, thank you
Beautiful boutique hotel with fun design. Nice and clean smal room with the view over the trees. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Nice well planed bathroom and really good shower. Good breakfast and cofe but the egg was to raw for me. Wish you could have hard boiled egg too. Lack of warm food.

Good location: A short free tram ride to the castle area but close to restaurants and bars - the motel one bar was nice and staff really friendly . Nice (smallish) room.
The staff is super friendly. They even helped me to check in a bit earlier than usual. The room was like always very good and cosy. It was my 4 the stay at this hotel in Graz and i will stay there again for sure, when i am back in Graz.
Very nice desined hotel in center of Graz, everything is in walk distance. It seems breakfast area doesn't really fit all guests when hotel is fully booked.
Everything was just perfect!
Everything was as expected as stayed in many Motel One establishments. The team at Graz looked after everything we required. The hotel was immaculately clean, rooms quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was as good as usual.

We were Walk-In on Wednesday as we jut decided to have a day in Graz on our way home. We were very impressed with the high standar of the hotel and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. We usually use the NH Hotel when we stay in Graz, bus as of now it will be Motel One.
Everything was great. Perfect location, very nice room and very kind personal.
The hotel is extremely well set up, good decor good food extremely clean and all staff were fantastic. Nothing was ever too much for the staff and they did everything with a smile on their face. Location is great providing excellent access to transport links and access to the local area.

I had a wonderful stay at Motel One Graz. The hotel’s location is fantastic, just a short walk from the opera and most of the city’s main attractions. The design is amazing, stylish yet warm, and every detail feels well thought through. The rooms are functional, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, offering everything you need for a pleasant city stay. A special mention goes to the lovely staff, who were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly throughout my stay. Whether you’re visiting Graz for business or leisure, Motel One Graz is an excellent choice, modern, efficient, and full of charm.

Motel is in a good location near Jakominiplatz. The rooms are clean with surprisingly good sound insulation. You can get everywhere in the city under 30 minutes wirh the tram station near the motel.

Feels Like Home at Motel One I had a fantastic stay at Motel One. The room was excellent — spotless, well-sized, and thoughtfully designed with a comfortable bed and a desk, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home immediately. The location is perfect, and the overall offer is exactly what I appreciate: everything I need, nothing unnecessary, and all at a great price. I especially liked the self-check-in and the convenience of using my phone as a room key — very modern and efficient. The only small hiccup was returning to the hotel after midnight: the front sliding door didn’t open automatically, and I wasn’t sure how to use the phone key to get in. Luckily, another guest was leaving, so I was able to enter. I’m still not sure if it was a mistake on my part or a technical issue, but it didn’t affect my overall positive experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for smart comfort and great value!

Graz cumule les titres. Dès les années 1970, la capitale du Land de Styrie a été surnommée « capitale secrète de la littérature ». En 2003, la ville franchit une nouvelle étape : Graz se hisse au rang de capitale européenne de la culture. En 2008, la deuxième ville d’Autriche fait sa grande percée gastronomique et décroche le joli titre de « capitale du goût ». Mais il n’y a pas que sur le plan culturel et culinaire que la ville fait parler d’elle. Elle semble être douée pour le design également. En effet, non sans raison, Creative Industry Styria l’a élue « City of Design » en 2011. Bref, c’est à sa scène créative très vivante que Graz doit ses nombreux titres. La ville des titres est un lieu où les écrivains, artistes, architectes ou designers peuvent exprimer leurs talents créatifs.
Entre tradition et modernité
Peu de villes autrichiennes jonglent aussi naturellement avec la tradition et la modernité que Graz. Il faut dire qu’elle allie habilement architecture épurée et charme d’antan.
Que diriez-vous d’effectuer un voyage dans le temps ? Au XIIIe siècle pour être exact. Rien de plus simple ! La tour de l’horloge remonte le temps d’un siècle. Mais attention : le cadran de cet emblème de Graz peut susciter l’étonnement en raison de l’extrême différence de taille entre les aiguilles des heures et celles des minutes . Autre joyau historique : le château d’Eggenberg. Depuis 1625, cet édifice baroque a forgé la physionomie de la ville. Aujourd’hui, on le considère même comme le plus grand et le plus important château de Styrie. On poursuit avec la Glockenspielplatz (la place du carillon, en allemand). Ici, un couple vêtu d’un costume folklorique nous fait trois fois par jour l’honneur de sa présence. Depuis 1905, ces figurines colorées surplombant la place dansent au son d’agréables mélodies, allant de la musique traditionnelle des Alpes autrichiennes aux chants de Noël en passant par des compositions plus modernes. Mais l’idée première du carillon n’était pas simplement de divertir la foule. Pendant longtemps, il servait également d’enseigne publicitaire. Grâce à ce petit intermède dansant, le très entreprenant fabricant de spiritueux Gottfried Maurer souhaitait attirer les clients aisés vers son magasin situé sur l’ancienne place Fliegelplatz.
Mais assez parlé d’histoire. Il est temps maintenant de se promener dans le Graz moderne. À quelques pas de la vieille ville, le Kunsthaus Graz (musée d’art) vous vous tend les bras. De loin, l’emblème de la ville attire tous les regards par son architecture épurée. Rien d’étonnant, donc, à ce que ce bâtiment d’un bleu éclatant, qui mérite bien son charmant surnom de « friendly alien », contraste quelque peu avec les toits traditionnels en briques rouges. Depuis 2003, ce musée d’art contemporain y expose certains des plus grands jalons artistiques des quarante dernières années.
Envie de découvrir une œuvre architecturale en pleine verdure ? Dans ce cas, une visite de la Murinsel s’impose. Cette construction en acier de 47 m de long a de quoi ravir. Elle a pris ses aises au beau milieu de la rivière Mur. Outre son emplacement insolite, l’artiste américain Vito Acconci a fait preuve de beaucoup d’imagination en matière de design également. Avec son toit en verre bombé, sa silhouette organique rappelle volontairement celle d’un coquillage. Ce n’est donc pas un hasard si, depuis 2003, cette construction de verre et d’acier est le lieu de prédilection de nombreux concerts, spectacles et autres expositions.
