We have stayed at Motel One in Warsaw several times before and have always appreciated the hotel for its consistency, friendly staff and overall reliability. That is why it feels especially disappointing to write a review like this. Our most recent stay made it clear that something has changed, and unfortunately not for the better. A promising start that quickly lost its shine Upon arrival we were greeted warmly at the reception. We were informed that we had been upgraded free of charge to the ninth floor, which we genuinely appreciated since we enjoy staying on higher floors. We were also told that a small gift was waiting for us in the room. It sounded like a thoughtful gesture and gave us a positive first impression. When we entered the room, the “gift” turned out to be four pieces of candy. Of course, a gift is a gift, but presenting something so minimal as a special surprise felt a bit odd. It came across as more awkward than meaningful, especially considering how it had been introduced. The real issue: no air, no ventilation, no sleep What overshadowed everything else was the fact that the room had no functioning ventilation. The AC was completely off and there was no fresh air coming in at all. This was not about wanting cool air; it was about the room lacking oxygen. We went down to the reception to ask for help and were told that the AC system had not been activated yet because it was early April. We understand that some hotels operate on seasonal settings, but ventilation is not the same as cooling. A room needs air circulation regardless of the month. After some back and forth, the staff agreed to send a technician the next morning. During the night we tried to manage by keeping the window open, but since the hotel is located in the middle of the city, all the traffic noise poured straight into the room. The result was a night with almost no sleep. A technician visit without results and without follow-up The next morning the technician arrived. He replaced the control panel, the fan started for half a second, and then he left, seemingly satisfied with the job. He did not stay to check whether the ventilation actually worked. It did not. This meant two more nights without proper air, without any follow-up and without any sign that the hotel cared about resolving the issue. It is difficult to describe how exhausted and disappointed you feel after three nights without proper sleep, especially when the problem is something as basic as ventilation. Basic housekeeping issues on top of everything else As if the ventilation problem was not enough, we also experienced issues with housekeeping. On Saturday afternoon we had to go down to the reception to ask for toilet paper because the cleaning staff had not replenished it. We were clearly not the only ones, as several guests were collecting toilet rolls at the same time. When we asked whether there was a staffing issue, the young receptionist simply replied “why do you ask,” even though we had neither toilet paper nor tissues in the room. A completely empty tissue box had been left in the bathroom. It may seem like a small detail, but it added to the growing sense that basic standards were slipping. The bar: another unexpected disappointment Another aspect we have always enjoyed at Motel One is the bar. The drinks have previously been well made and consistent. This time, however, the experience was very different. Our favourite drink tasted mostly like juice, completely unbalanced. When we politely mentioned this to the bartender, the only response we received was “okay.” No apology, no offer to remake the drink, no gesture of goodwill. Not even a simple acknowledgement that something might be off. The issue was not the drink itself, but the lack of service-mindedness. A clear decline and a difficult recommendation We have stayed at Motel One Warsaw four times before and always felt that the hotel delivered a solid and dependable experience. This time it was obvious that the standard has slipped. The service feels less attentive, the details less thoughtful and the overall experience noticeably weaker. We do not have unreasonable expectations. We are not looking for luxury or special treatment. But we do expect: a room with functioning ventilation the drinks to match what is described on the menu staff who show interest when something is not working follow-up when guests report a problem a basic level of service and care Unfortunately, none of this was met during our stay. Conclusion It is with great disappointment that we conclude that Motel One Warsaw no longer maintains the level of quality we previously appreciated. We have always recommended the hotel to friends and colleagues, but after this visit we are unsure whether we will return. When a hotel cannot provide something as fundamental as proper ventilation, and shows little interest in resolving the issue, something essential has been lost. We truly hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and returns to the standard that once made it our first choice in Warsaw. As things stand now, we will be considering other options for our next visit.

We really liked the design, the location and the bar. It was very hot in the room, the AC could only heat and the windows can only be opened slightly. We were expecting a better breakfast selection especially considering its price: meat and could cuts options were very limited and the same everyday, it was boring after 2 nights. No omelets, sausages or any other hot savoury items. Probably we will skip breakfast next time.

The hotel is very conveniently located in the center, the staff is very friendly, and the bar is open 24/7. The room was fine, but I would add a few more products in the bathroom, like hand cream, soap, etc.

Really nice and warm welcome on reception. I was offered early check in and also a map for my city trip. Only what i would change is the sitting situation for breakfast. I mean the chairs are really nice and comfortable for a drink in the evening but not to sit and eat.

We stayed at Motel One Warsaw Chopin for 2 nights. The check in was very profesional, polite and friendly. The room was a standard double room with all comfort what you need for a city break. Cleanliness is excellent, in the huge lobby we could have some relaxing time betwee exploring the city. Location is super convenient, easily reachable the old town and the shopping aerea.

Loved my stay at Motel One in Warsaw. Gorgeous and arty Chopin-themed decor in the lobby and in my room. Very friendly, professional and helpful staff. Super clean and super quiet. Stunning location in Central Warsaw. Reasonable price. Very happy and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Clean place and great located, very good breakfast, the staff were kind and available. I missed a small refrigerator and a hot pot for coffee, don't know about the rest of the rooms but mine was pretty tight but comfortable.

Very happy once again with my stay at Motel One. At Warsaw Chopin they appear to be far stricter with check-in time of 3.00. Other Motel One properties I’ve stayed in allowed check-in on earlier arrival at no additional cost. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful, reception staff not so friendly compared to other Motel One locations. Overall though, it is a well located hotel, spotlessly clean and the rooms are comfortable. I have already booked a return.

The overall score is definitely "excellent." The hotel was clean, beautiful, everything was in perfect working order and all the employees were wonderful, helpful and friendly.
Nice hotel, well located. Clean rooms and excellent breakfast. The room is very basic, no kettle or coffee & tea facilities. You can’t put the television into original version or connect to any other devices.

Everything was just great, the city view - inspiring. Warsaw seems to be a very beautiful, contemporary and clean. The breakfast was very good, and the chicken's (?) pate was a real treat, the coffee excellent, good selection of bread. I did not use the wifi, therefore no rating.
I would like the room to be a little more spacious. You cannot have more than 1 big suitcase and a carry-on luggage in the room. There was no fridge, which is disappointing for me as I always want to have access to cold water. Furthermore, there was not coffee or tea in the room. The tv was installed in a corner and not in front of the bed, which makes it difficult to watch. Of course, this was due to the very small free space left on front of the bed. Finally, I would prefer to share one big double duvet with my partner, instead of having 2 single ones.
Todo ha sido espectacular sinceramente. El hall, las habitaciones, hasta los ascensores rapidísimos, la ubicación muy muy buena. Quizás en el desayuno eché en falta algo mas variado como unas tortillas o algo así y no solo huevos guisados. Pero es un tema que no es súper importante
Todo bien, amabilidad, servicio, ubicación, diseño y modernidad de la habitación.
Es la segunda vez que me alojo en el hotel y lo elegí por quedar contento la primera vez. Está muy bien situado en pleno centro de Varsovia, se puede ir caminando a todos los lugares del centro y además tiene autobuses y metro a pocos metros. Muy bien comunicado con el aeropuerto Chopin y con la estación Central, a la que también se puede llegar caminando en unos 20 minutos. Las habitaciones en la línea de los Motel One, no son grandes, pero están muy limpias, camas cómodas y toallas nuevas en el baño, que siempre es de agradecer. Falta lo que siempre comento en esta cadena hotelera, una pequeña nevera en las habitaciones. Pero sin duda para repetir.
Hotel muy bien situado, cerca zona restaurantes y muy fácil acceso a metro y tranvia. Desayuno excelente y limpieza extraordinaria. Quizás por mencionar algo negativo, el tamaño de la habitacion algo pequeño sin armario cerrado y mala cobertura telefónica en la habitacion.
Excelente, pero la puntuación la puse por la imposibilidad de abrir las ventanas de forma normal (no solo arriba). Es ya costumbre en ls hoteles y para personas con claustrofobia es oprimente El resto, perfecto. Pero considero que ese detalle es importante, puede hacer cambiar de opinión a la hora de reservar

Viajé con mi hijo, pedí habitación con dos camas en recepción pero nos dieron habitación con cama matrimonio. La caja fuerte de la habitación estaba con batería baja.

Como todos los hoteles que ya conozco de la cadena. Muy limpio, sábanas y toallas nuevas, camas y almohadas cómodas. La habitación es pequeña pero cómoda y luminosa. Excelente situación. Siempre digo que le falta una pequeña nevera como algo a mejorar.

En lineas generales bien, pero que no se pueda poner la calefacción en la habitación a menos que baje de cierta temperatura es algo indeseable tratándose de una ciudad donde en invierno hace mucho frío.

Me gustó mucho el hotel en general. Hice la reserva tras conocer hace varios años su hotel en Leizpig. Esperaba que la habitación fuese más pequeña después de leer los comentarios que había al respecto en su pagina web. Creo que acerté plenamente al elegir Motel One frente a los varios hoteles del competidos francés. Les felicito. Hasta pronto.

Hoteles de diseño económicos en Varsovia – Tu Motel One
Desde 1596, Varsovia es la capital de Polonia y, como tal, ha sufrido algunas épocas turbulentas y ha experimentado profundos cambios. La rica historia de esta ciudad se aprecia claramente en su variada arquitectura. Desde iglesias góticas a modernos rascacielos, pasando por bloques de viviendas de la época soviética y palacios clasicistas: «Warszawa» es una metrópoli muy diversa, que combina perfectamente tradición y modernidad, a partir de lo cual se ha forjado un carácter único.
A tan solo un paseo de nuestro hotel se encuentra el emblema de la ciudad. Con sus 237 metros, es imposible no verlo: el Palacio de la Cultura y la Ciencia, Pałac Kultury i Nauki, o, de forma abreviada, PKiN, recibe a los visitantes directamente en la estación central, en el centro de la ciudad. Este edificio se construyó en los años 50 por orden del gobierno soviético. En su época fue el segundo edificio más alto de Europa. Hoy en día alberga, entre otros, algunos cines, teatros y una piscina. Además, en el piso 30 hay un mirador y un restaurante con vista panorámica. Desde allí puedes ir al Museo del Alzamiento de Varsovia y al Museo Nacional, a pie o cómodamente en tranvía. Por regla general, la ciudad de Varsovia se puede recorrer muy bien con transporte público. Cuenta con una amplia red de líneas de metro, autobús y tranvía que conectan la ciudad en todas las direcciones.
El casco antiguo de Varsovia es una visita obligada. Tras su destrucción durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, fue reconstruido al detalle. Actualmente es Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. En su centro se encuentra la plaza del mercado, con muchas cafeterías y restaurantes en los que podrás reponer fuerzas con las especialidades típicas de Polonia, como la Barczcz, una sopa de remolacha, o los pierogi, una pasta rellena. Y a quien le apetezca, por supuesto debe probar el vodka, la bebida nacional por excelencia: ¡Na zdrowie!
Viejo esplendor y nuevos mundos
Aquí también se encuentra la estatua de la Syrenka, la sirena, el símbolo de la ciudad, cuya figura también está en el escudo de Varsovia, y sobre la que existen muchas leyendas. Según dicen, esta protegió a los habitantes del asentamiento que más tarde se convertiría en la capital, como muestra de agradecimiento a un pescador que la salvó.
En este barrio se encuentran también la Catedral de San Juan, la iglesia más antigua de la ciudad, y el Palacio Real de Varsovia, lugar de residencia de los reyes polacos hasta el siglo XVIII. Desde el extremo sur de la plaza del palacio puedes recorrer la Ruta Real, uno de los paseos más largos del mundo. Esta te llevará desde el Palacio Real en dirección hacia el sur hasta las residencias reales de verano, entre las cuales destaca el palacio Wilanów, situado a 10 km de distancia. Este espléndido paseo está repleto de monumentos: desde la Iglesia de Santa Ana hasta la Universidad de Varsovia, pasando por el Palacio Presidencial. Si sigues paseando, llegarás automáticamente al Nowy Świat, el célebre paseo de Varsovia. Con sus numerosas tiendas, cafeterías, etc., la calle del «Nuevo Mundo» invita a hacer compras a discreción.
Al norte, el casco antiguo limita directamente con la parte nueva de la ciudad, que se originó a finales del siglo XIV. A través de la barbacana, una puerta de la antigua muralla que rodea el centro histórico, llegarás a la ciudad nueva, denominada Nowe Miasto, que te espera con algunas bonitas iglesias y con el Palacio Raczynski, del siglo XVIII. Este barrio lo cruza la Ulica Freta, una calle tranquila cuyos restaurantes son ideales para contemplar la vida de sus habitantes. En el parque Traugutta, rodeado de verde, podrás descansar de tantos monumentos.
Praga, modernidad en estado puro
En la orilla este del Vístula, justo enfrente del casco antiguo, se encuentra Praga, el barrio de moda. Puedes llegar cómodamente en tranvía, pasando sobre el puente Śląsko-Dąbrowski. Este barrio, que antiguamente era una ciudad independiente, forma parte de la capital desde 1791. Esta zona tiene una influencia occidental considerablemente menor y es más genuina, puesto que este antiguo barrio de trabajadores resultó menos dañado durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Por ello, en sus pintorescos rincones se grabaron películas de Hollywood como «El pianista». Hoy en día, en este barrio los artistas y creativos varsovianos dan rienda suelta a su creatividad, y el colorido arte urbano adorna los edificios antiguos que sufren el paso del tiempo. Las modernas galerías y bares invitan a entrar. También hay restaurantes pequeños y acogedores que sirven la sabrosa cocina polaca o comida vegana, y museos extraordinarios dedicados a la fabricación de vodka o a los carteles publicitarios de neón. Y no te olvides: en el barrio de Praga también se encuentran el zoo de Varsovia con la casa Żabiński y la playa del Vístula, considerada una de las playas urbanas más bonitas de Europa. Así que aquellos que quieran ver un lado diferente de Varsovia, no pueden perderse una excursión a la otra orilla.
Chopin: un clásico con nuevo brillo
Que tomara el sol alguna vez en la playa de Varsovia no está muy claro, pero lo que sí es seguro es que Frédéric Chopin es uno de los hijos más célebres de la ciudad. Nació en 1810 en Żelazowa Wola, en el que en aquella época era el Ducado de Varsovia, y pasó los primeros 20 años de su vida en una mansión cerca de la universidad, antes de mudarse a París. Aquí recibió su educación musical, compuso sus primeras piezas y, como niño prodigio del piano, fue la atracción en los palacios de las familias de príncipes de mayor prestigio. Hoy en día, este gran compositor sigue omnipresente. Tan solo con el aeropuerto Chopin, la ciudad ya le ha consagrado un monumento. También se le ha dedicado el Museo Chopin, que se encuentra justo enfrente de nuestro hotel económico, y el monumento a Chopin del Parque Łazienki. En los meses de verano, la música está literalmente en el aire, ya que se realizan conciertos con las obras de Chopin. De lo que no hay ninguna duda es de que los varsovianos aman a Chopin y Chopin amaba Varsovia. Tanto la amaba que, por su propio deseo, su corazón regresó a su patria tras su muerte. Actualmente descansa en la Iglesia de la Santa Cruz, en la Ruta Real. Este virtuoso de la música ha sido también la inspiración del diseño de nuestro hotel. En el interior del lounge y en las habitaciones, la música clásica aporta la nota de estilo.
