Excellent service, clean and superb breakfast in a relaxed environment
Fijne kamer, super douche, lekker bed, schoon, goede ligging. Miste alleen een minibar, ontbijtbuffet iets te krap (drukte).
We had a nice stay at motel one Warsaw-Chopin. The rooms were clean and the AC was working. The carpet in the lobby was filthy though.
3 stars for new and clean. Everything else is terrible. Super small room, weirdly unfriendly staff, no coffee in the room or the reception. No closet. Room measured 9x11. With a king bed, two people can hardly move around.
Had a great stay. The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. My room was clean and tidy but one of the body towels was old and torn.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Motel One. The room and breakfast were first class - the property absolutely deserves its recognition. We were advised a few days before arriving that the room we booked was unavailable due to maintenance requirements so Oliwia offered us the choice of two other rooms instead, reserving both until we arrived and could see both rooms and choose. On top of that she deducted a nights fee for any in convenience. That is true customer service.

What I can I say, the Motel One hotel was a very enjoyable place to stay just like last time I had stayed in Motel One, it's always beautiful, clean and very warm hotel that make me feel like I was staying at my own house.
Everything was great; I'd happily stay there again anytime. Unfortunately, the street is very noisy.
The hotel was conviently located and quiet. We were able to walk everywhere. Two points and I would give this hotel a 10 star rating. Would be great to have a coffee/tea making and water in the room on arrival. I would also like to see tourist info in reception.

The accessible/disabled room should have a fixed shower seat in the bathroom. At the moment, there was only a loose chair, which is not suitable or practical for people with paraplegia. In addition, after taking a shower, the entire bathroom became flooded because the drainage was not working properly. Apart from these issues, the rest of the stay was very good. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the bar area was very nice as well. The breakfast was good, although a bit more variety would be appreciated.
Had a problem connecting with the Hdmi on the hotel TV. But I got good service and it got fixed pretty quickly.
Location is excellent. Within walking distance to a lot of attractions. Rooms are bare minimum; no closet, no drawers, no shelves, no night stand, no amenities, no water, no coffee. We upgraded to corner unit and it was just larger space with nothing extra.

Lovely, clean and modern hotel in close proximity to Warsaw old town. Great friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast which was fresh and had plenty of choice. The only improvement (like stated in other reviews) is you eat breakfast in the bar/lounge area which only has a few suitable tables for eating. It might suit some but I don’t like trying to eat a plate of food seated on a sofa with a low table. That said we did manage most of the time to find an appropriate table but I can imagine it being difficult at busy times. I would stay at Motel One Warsaw if I’m lucky enough to visit again in the future.
The cleanliness, colors, and design are still my favorites. I would always be happy to have a small refrigerator in the room.
Super nice hotel. Near the centre, clean, beautiful. Loved the 24h bar and the staff. I also got to kiss a super cool girl, so 100/100 experience. Cool about the fishes on the screen too.

A very pleasant place for a few days. Excellent location, walking proximity to the Stare Miasto, Teatr Wielki, University of Warsaw, Ogrod Saski, downtown shopping area, large variety of restaurants on Novy Swiat, Chopin and Copernicus Musea, Zlote Tarasy shopping mall and the outlet store for Boleslavies ceramics. The Polin Museum of the history of Polish Jews is a tram ride away. Metro station nearby. The design is contemporary, streamlined, in grey, white and turquoise. No frills. Very COMFORTABLE BED❤️ Good shower. Lots of breakfast items. Note: no fridge, watery kettle and limited space for clothing. Staff is helpful and professional. Recommended.
Initially the biggest disadvantage was the lack of a refrigerator in the room. It's not just the cold water that we might want, but also its use for some medicines or creams. You should inform the customer in advance when making the reservation. The advantages are the comfortable large bed and the many pillows.
I only stayed here for two nights, but I would have happily stayed longer. The staff is made up of very young people, all very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. The room isn't very large, but it has everything you need, and most importantly, it was immaculately clean. It was perhaps a little warm, but that wasn't a problem. The property is very modern and charming, and the breakfast was extensive. Especially as an Italian, I was very happy with the Nutella, after being able to put those delicious croissants in them! I was able to leave my bags for a few hours both before check-in and after check-out. Very efficient and, above all, helpful service. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to all means of transportation. I'm very happy I chose Motel One!

I stay here regularly, usually getting a quiet room at the back of the hotel. This time I was allocated room 0601, which I thought was quiet at first, but realised there was quite a noisy lift which was going up and down all night. I don't think it was the hotel lift. It may have been a lift in the adjacent building. I had to wear earplugs.

A very well equipped hotel in an absolutely perfect location
The receptionists were very nice. I lost my memory on my iPhone passcode, my iPhone and google accounts were locked on 7 April, the receptionist was extremely helpful, helped me to book a taxi so that I could buy another phone for my remaining journey. The lady was very kind, helped me to make hardcopies of my air flight tickets and advised me the way to send postcards. On my last day staying in your hotel, the receptionist asked me whether the passcode was resolved. All these touching responses could not be replaced by robots. Highly recommend for someone sightseeing in Warsaw.
Very friendly and helpful staff. My room (handicapped room, because I asked for a very quiet room, though I have no handicap) was large and clean. Major issue: The heating did not work, so the temperature was around 17-19 degrees, not pleasant for me during the day and for reading in the room (I know people have different thermal resistance). Minor: TV complicated to set; funny smell when I arrived, did get better after a few hous with the window open; no ventilation as the air con was completely switched off (see above). Overall, for € 107/night, you could do better.

Staff were excellent and very professional. The rooms and common areas were sparkling clean. Location near Old Town Warsaw and other attractions was excellent. Wishes: a kettle or coffee maker in the room .
Warm welcome, clean and functional room with nice shower and toiletries. Good location, right opposite the Chopin museum, and wonderful breakfast and bar area. Only thing missing were tea/ coffee making facilities after a long day sightseeing but hot drinks were unlimited at breakfast.
We have stayed at Motel One in Warsaw several times before and have always appreciated the hotel for its consistency, friendly staff and overall reliability. That is why it feels especially disappointing to write a review like this. Our most recent stay made it clear that something has changed, and unfortunately not for the better. A promising start that quickly lost its shine Upon arrival we were greeted warmly at the reception. We were informed that we had been upgraded free of charge to the ninth floor, which we genuinely appreciated since we enjoy staying on higher floors. We were also told that a small gift was waiting for us in the room. It sounded like a thoughtful gesture and gave us a positive first impression. When we entered the room, the “gift” turned out to be four pieces of candy. Of course, a gift is a gift, but presenting something so minimal as a special surprise felt a bit odd. It came across as more awkward than meaningful, especially considering how it had been introduced. The real issue: no air, no ventilation, no sleep What overshadowed everything else was the fact that the room had no functioning ventilation. The AC was completely off and there was no fresh air coming in at all. This was not about wanting cool air; it was about the room lacking oxygen. We went down to the reception to ask for help and were told that the AC system had not been activated yet because it was early April. We understand that some hotels operate on seasonal settings, but ventilation is not the same as cooling. A room needs air circulation regardless of the month. After some back and forth, the staff agreed to send a technician the next morning. During the night we tried to manage by keeping the window open, but since the hotel is located in the middle of the city, all the traffic noise poured straight into the room. The result was a night with almost no sleep. A technician visit without results and without follow-up The next morning the technician arrived. He replaced the control panel, the fan started for half a second, and then he left, seemingly satisfied with the job. He did not stay to check whether the ventilation actually worked. It did not. This meant two more nights without proper air, without any follow-up and without any sign that the hotel cared about resolving the issue. It is difficult to describe how exhausted and disappointed you feel after three nights without proper sleep, especially when the problem is something as basic as ventilation. Basic housekeeping issues on top of everything else As if the ventilation problem was not enough, we also experienced issues with housekeeping. On Saturday afternoon we had to go down to the reception to ask for toilet paper because the cleaning staff had not replenished it. We were clearly not the only ones, as several guests were collecting toilet rolls at the same time. When we asked whether there was a staffing issue, the young receptionist simply replied “why do you ask,” even though we had neither toilet paper nor tissues in the room. A completely empty tissue box had been left in the bathroom. It may seem like a small detail, but it added to the growing sense that basic standards were slipping. The bar: another unexpected disappointment Another aspect we have always enjoyed at Motel One is the bar. The drinks have previously been well made and consistent. This time, however, the experience was very different. Our favourite drink tasted mostly like juice, completely unbalanced. When we politely mentioned this to the bartender, the only response we received was “okay.” No apology, no offer to remake the drink, no gesture of goodwill. Not even a simple acknowledgement that something might be off. The issue was not the drink itself, but the lack of service-mindedness. A clear decline and a difficult recommendation We have stayed at Motel One Warsaw four times before and always felt that the hotel delivered a solid and dependable experience. This time it was obvious that the standard has slipped. The service feels less attentive, the details less thoughtful and the overall experience noticeably weaker. We do not have unreasonable expectations. We are not looking for luxury or special treatment. But we do expect: a room with functioning ventilation the drinks to match what is described on the menu staff who show interest when something is not working follow-up when guests report a problem a basic level of service and care Unfortunately, none of this was met during our stay. Conclusion It is with great disappointment that we conclude that Motel One Warsaw no longer maintains the level of quality we previously appreciated. We have always recommended the hotel to friends and colleagues, but after this visit we are unsure whether we will return. When a hotel cannot provide something as fundamental as proper ventilation, and shows little interest in resolving the issue, something essential has been lost. We truly hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and returns to the standard that once made it our first choice in Warsaw. As things stand now, we will be considering other options for our next visit.

We really liked the design, the location and the bar. It was very hot in the room, the AC could only heat and the windows can only be opened slightly. We were expecting a better breakfast selection especially considering its price: meat and could cuts options were very limited and the same everyday, it was boring after 2 nights. No omelets, sausages or any other hot savoury items. Probably we will skip breakfast next time.
The hotel is very conveniently located in the center, the staff is very friendly, and the bar is open 24/7. The room was fine, but I would add a few more products in the bathroom, like hand cream, soap, etc.

Prijsvoordelige designhotels in Warschau - jouw Motel One
Warschau is al sinds 1596 de hoofdstad van Polen en heeft in die hoedanigheid de nodige turbulente tijden en veranderingen meegemaakt. De rijke geschiedenis van de stad wordt al duidelijk in de zeer diverse architectuur. Met haar gotische kerken, classicistische paleizen, huizenblokken uit de Sovjettijd en moderne wolkenkrabbers is ‘Warszawa’ een veelzijdige metropool. Hier zijn traditie en moderniteit mooi met elkaar gecombineerd waardoor de stad haar typische karakter heeft gekregen.
Op een korte wandelafstand van ons hotel staat het symbool van de stad. Met zijn 237 m kun je er niet langs kijken: het Paleis van Cultuur en Wetenschap of het - Pałac Kultury i Nauki, kortweg PKiN - verwelkomt reizigers bij het verlaten van het centraal station in het stadscentrum. Het gebouw uit de jaren '50 werd in opdracht van de Sovjetleiding gebouwd. Toen het werd opgericht was het het op een na grootste gebouw van Europa. Tegenwoordig herbergt het onder meer enkele bioscopen, theaterzalen en een zwembad. Op de 30ste verdieping zijn er bovendien een uitzichtplatform en een panoramarestaurant te vinden. Van hieruit kun je ook heel eenvoudig te voet of comfortabel met de tram het Museum van de Opstand van Warschau en het Nationaal Museum bereiken. Over het algemeen kun je de stad Warschau goed met het openbaar vervoer verkennen. Een uitgebreid netwerk van metro-, bus- en tramlijnen in alle richtingen verbindt de delen van de stad met elkaar.
Je moet zeker de oude binnenstad van Warschau bezoeken. Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog was ze volledig vernietigd, maar ze werd tot in het kleinste detail gereconstrueerd. Tegenwoordig is ze UNESCO-werelderfgoed. In het centrum ligt een marktplein met heel wat restaurants en cafés waar je kunt genieten van typische Poolse specialiteiten zoals barczcz, een rodebietensoep, of gevulde piroggen. En wie dat wil, mag zich natuurlijk ook wagen aan de nationale drank: wodka. Na zdrowie!
Oude pracht en nieuwe werelden
Hier staat ook het standbeeld van de Syrenka, de zeemeermin, die als symbolisch figuur van de stad ook in het wapen van Warschau te vinden is en die in heel wat legenden een rol speelt. Oorspronkelijk zou ze de bewoners van de nederzetting die later de hoofdstad zou worden, hebben beschermd uit dankbaarheid voor haar redding door een visser.
In deze wijk ligt bovendien de Johanneskathedraal, de oudste kerk van de stad, en het koninklijk paleis van Warschau dat tot de 18e eeuw de residentie van de Poolse koningen was. Vanaf het zuidelijke uiteinde van het Paleisplein kun je over de Koningsweg slenteren, een van de langste representatieve straten ter wereld. Die loopt van het koninklijk paleis in zuidelijke richting naar de koninklijke zomerresidenties, onder meer naar het Wilanów-Palast 10 km verderop. Naast die prachtige boulevard staat het ene monument naast het andere: van de Sint-Annakerk via het presidentiële paleis tot aan de Universiteit van Warschau. Als je verder wandelt, kom je automatisch terecht op de Nowy Świat, de beroemde flaneerboulevard van Warschau. Met zijn vele winkels, cafés en dergelijke is de 'Nieuwe Wereldstraat' de ideale plek om volop te gaan shoppen .
In het noorden kom je vanuit de oude binnenstad onmiddellijk in het nieuwe stadscentrum terecht dat aan het einde van de 14e eeuw ontstond. Via de Barbakane, een poort in de oude stadsmuur rond het historische centrum, bereik je de zogenaamde Nowe Miasto, waar eveneens enkele bezienswaardige kerken te zien zijn en het 18e eeuwse Raczynski-paleis. Dwars door de wijk loopt de Ulica Freta, een verkeersluwe straat met restaurants van waaruit je gezellig naar mensen kunt kijken. Of je gunt jezelf een rustpauze in het groen van het Traugutta Park om dan weer verder te gaan met je sightseeing toer.
Cool, cooler, Praga!
Aan de oostelijke oever van de Wisła, recht tegenover de oude binnenstad, ligt de kunstenaarswijk Praga. Je komt daar gemakkelijk met de tram via de Śląsko-Dąbrowski-brug. Deze oorspronkelijk zelfstandige stad maakt sinds 1791 deel uit van de hoofdstad. De omgeving heeft hier duidelijk minder onder westelijke invloed gestaan en is authentieker, omdat de vroegere arbeiderswijk tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog heel wat minder beschadigd werd dan het stadscentrum. Niet voor niets werden er vanwege het sfeervolle decor al Hollywood-films als ‘De pianist’ gedraaid. Tegenwoordig leven kunstenaars en creatievelingen van Warschau zich hier uit: kleurrijke streetart siert oude gebouwen waar de tand des tijds aan knaagt, moderne galerijen en bars nodigen je uit voor een bezoekje. Kleine gezellige restaurants serveren stevige Poolse of veganistische gerechten. Verder vind je er buitengewone musea die zijn gewijd aan de productie van wodka of aan neonreclame. En niet te vergeten: In Praga liggen ook de dierentuin van Warschau met de Żabiński-villa en het Wisłastrand, dat bekendstaat als een van de mooiste stadsstranden van Europa. Wie ook de wat andere kant van Warschau wil leren kennen, mag zich daarom de korte trip naar de andere oever niet laten ontgaan.
Chopin - klassieker met een nieuwe glans
Of hij ooit een zonnebad heeft genomen aan het strand van Warschau is nog maar de vraag. Het staat echter wel vast dat Frédéric Chopin een van de beroemdste zonen van de stad is. Hij werd in 1810 geboren in Żelazowa Wola in het toenmalige hertogdom Warschau en bracht de eerste 20 jaar van zijn leven door in een villa in de buurt van de universiteit voordat hij naar Parijs ging. Daar kreeg hij zijn muzikale opleiding, componeerde hij zijn eerste stukken en werd als pianowonderkind de attractie in het paleis van de belangrijkste koninklijke families. Ook tegenwoordig is de grote componist nog steeds alomtegenwoordig. Alleen al met de Chopin-luchthaven heeft de stad een monument voor hem opgericht. Maar ook het Chopin-museum recht tegenover ons voordelige hotel of het Chopin-monument in het Łazienki-park zijn gewijd aan de componist. Tijdens de zomermaanden hangt hier letterlijk muziek in de lucht als er Chopinconcerten worden gegeven waarbij zijn stukken worden gespeeld. Er is geen twijfel mogelijk: de inwoners van Warschau houden van Chopin en Chopin hield van Warschau. Zoveel dat in navolging van zijn laatste wens zijn hart na zijn dood naar zijn vaderland terug moest gaan. Vandaag rust het in de Heiligekruiskerk aan de Koningsweg. Dit grote muzikale talent was ook een inspiratiebron voor het design van ons hotel. In het interieur van de lounge en kamers bepaalt de klassieke muziek de stijl. Als je dus een bijzondere, maar voordelige verblijfplaats zoekt op een toplocatie, dan ben je bij ons Motel One aan het juiste adres. Misschien verlies jij je hart binnenkort ook wel aan Warschau?
