The price charged was far in excess of the quality of the room. There was no coffee, water, extra towels or the basics offered. 20eu for the breakfast was excessive as well.

The room was very tiny, the space for elevator of the hotel, built into the room was bigger than the bathroom. You could hear elevator going up and down, doors sliding and the doors slamming from stairway and the other rooms. 200 Euro/night, no breakfast included. Very disappointing comparing to other Motel One I stayed at.
Excellent location right next to the Hauptbahnhof, making commutes seamless. Very well maintained property and super nice staff. Highly recommended!
When check in, it took so long although other staff was in the office, the counter staff did not ask for help and so I had to wait more than ten minutes because the staff took care of a guest. But in such case, the other staff must help for the guest waiting so long.
This is in the perfect location. I thought it might be noisy and I'm a light sleeper. There was no noise issue at all even though it is right beside the central train station. The room was clean, staff very helpful. It was an ideal spot to explore Salzburg. It takes no time at all either walking or getting public transport to get to the old town. We will book again if back in Salzburg.
We had a wonderful stay in Motel One in Salzburg. The rooms were fresh and clean and we had an amazing view of the Salzach river. The breakfast was excellent and the terrace very pleasant for an evening drink.
For the price we paid for our stay, i had more expectations. The room was pretty basic and standard, everything was ok, nothing stood out. Breakfast was standard, nothing special Air conditioning worked really fine in the hot weather, so that was great. For an additional 15 euros, they had parking on premise, which was convenient
Hotel is clean. Not so far away from city center. Nice walk along the Salzach.
I get a wonderful treatment from the reception
This is clearly a hotel in flux at the moment after a change in ownership. The reception seemed quite chaotic, frazzled and stressed, learning live a new unfamiliar system. The bar was out of most drinks. Having said that the room.was fine and breakfast was good.
Location and rooms are excellent, the hotel is well decoarated and clean. Staff, especially during the day and in the evening are great and helpful. Staff at night not really avaialble, spent 2 x 15 min outside (room key cards were not correctly programmed) August 10 - 11. Would have appreciated the 10% discount, had we known that adavantage with the one club. A fridge in the room would be nice.

Location is excellent and the main advantage of this hotel. Just in front of a bus stop and within a short ride to the center. Also in front of a large supermarket which is quite convenient for buying quick/cheap bites. Stylish bar/lobby area as well. On the negative side, the room was lacking in basic amenities, especially at this price range: kettle, mini-fridge, tea set, ironing board, slippers, glassware are all things I am used to get in other hotels that are not provided here. Pillows to soft for my liking as well. Also puzzled about having the reception at the bar - it does not feel like a real hotel and more like the person at the bar is also handling reception duties on the side. Finally, never got the welcome water that was advertised for beOne members.

I stayed for one week at the property in Salzburg, which is nice but I think three improvements are needed to make for a more comfortable stay. 1. Please add complementary coffee/tea in the lobby or in the room. Many comparable budget hotels offer this. Charging 3€ for a guest to then make a small black coffee themself using the machine in the lobby is too much. As a result we went elsewhere for coffee. And yes, we understand the concept of the hotel is to keep prices low by eliminating extras, but coffee/tea in the morning is just as vital as wifi and hot water! 2. Please add ice machines for guests / self service. 3. There was always a line at the front desk, no matter what time of day or night. Some people were lining up to pay to use the coffee machine or to request some ice for the room (there was never a bartender on duty — the front desk clerk was doing everything). I suggest you organize for more staff to be on duty and/or provide guests some self-service capability such as free coffee and ice machines. Finally, reserving online was fairly easy, but it was not possible to modify the reservation online. I had to call the hotel to add an additional night. It would be great to update your online system to meet market standards.

Motel One is always our „go to“ address if we stay in a European city. Clean, stylisch, great breakfast and a „feel at home“ atmosphere

There was a bit of hiccup at check-in but otherwise it was all good. It would have been also good to be offered a complementary water bottle (another Motel One was the same …) We loved the lounge space. Also the view from the balcony. Would have liked to have a kettle in the room.

En mis viajes trato de reservar siempre que es posible con Motel One Como crítica constructiva no me pareció normal que en el Lounge&Bar no hubiera la posibilidad de pedir una tosta o algo para comer sobre todo porque en las mesas estaban las cartas con toda la información y en otros hoteles de la misma de la cadena si tenías esta opción. Por lo demás todo correcto
Small room, not comfortable. Only high pillows. Small bathroom, shower with water everywhere. No frigidaire in room. Desk people not very friendly.
A nice hotel in good location for my needs. Unfortunately, the AC didn't work very well in my two rooms, both rooms had musty smell (room 207 and 422). My friend had a room somewhere on the second floor and she told the AC works good there. Pillows and blankets need replacing, but the beds are really good. A breakfast is delicious, I only missed fresh berries because it's summer. The reception staff were very helpful when we arrived and later when I had some problems 🩷
Terrific option located a short 10 min bus ride into the city.
I needed to modify my booking over email prior to arrival and the process was really smooth, the staff were super helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, our room on the 6th floor was very comfortable with great views. My only critique is the breakfast, which I found to be overpriced for what was offered. It is okay for a single day, but for multiple days it gets a bit bland.
The location is great and we loved our bedroom with the river view. Everything in the room is well designed and sheets good quality, efficient shower and nice toiletries and towels. The only disappointment was that reception were really not welcoming - avoiding eye contact and no welcome. In fact Merle would look at her computer rather than engage with staff. Édouardo was much better even though I could see busy serving drinks.

Good location, not far from old town. And, the hotel have underground parking with Euro11 per day.
Overall, my stay was acceptable, but the room itself was one of the most poorly designed I’ve ever encountered. Several issues stood out: Missing room amenities — The room had no fridge or kettle, which are basic conveniences I expect at this price point. Disability room assignment — I was assigned a disability-access room despite not requesting one. As a result, the layout was impractical: The toilet was unusually high and uncomfortable to use. The shower was completely open, causing water to spread across the entire bathroom. The shower hose had very low pressure, forcing me to stand awkwardly close to the wall. Poor bed quality — The bed consisted of two separate mattresses. One was fine, but the other was clearly worn out and should have been replaced long ago. Breakfast value concerns — I’m glad I didn’t include breakfast. Charging €18 for a selection that offers only boiled eggs as the sole egg option and no vegetables feels unreasonable. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the check‑in process needs improvement. I arrived around 09:00 after a long journey and was told my room wasn’t ready because cleaning had just begun. I asked whether an earlier check‑in before 15:00 was possible and was told to check back later. When I returned at 11:00, I received the same answer: rooms were still not ready. A simple improvement would be for the front desk to contact housekeeping and adjust the cleaning order when a guest arrives early. Preparing one room sooner does not take two hours, and I even offered to take an uncleaned room temporarily just so I could shower and get to work in better condition. My suggestion: If early check‑in isn’t possible, the hotel should either: Provide a dedicated shower room for guests waiting for their rooms, or Allow guests to access a room that is already free and clean it afterward. Although I have a company discount for my next visit, I will seriously consider paying a bit more elsewhere for a more comfortable stay.
Staff are very friendly. The room was clean and I was able to check-in early. The only missing point was not having a water bottle in the room, especially with 30+ degrees outside

La ciudad, un relevante centro de ferias y congresos, ha catapultado su imagen histórica hasta los tiempos modernos tras ser proclamada patrimonio de la humanidad de la UNESCO. Tampoco ha resultado difícil… Entre palacios y castillos, enormes parques y famosos museos, no es de extrañar que se nos olvide en qué siglo vivimos. Si visitas la fortaleza de Hohensalzburg disfrutarás de unas vistas perfectas de la ciudad.
Seguro que el saludable desayuno ecológico de Motel One te da las fuerzas necesarias para emprender un ascenso que no es del todo fácil. La fortaleza, la más grande de Europa que se conserva íntegramente, se eleva por encima del casco antiguo barroco y es, sin duda alguna, el principal símbolo de Salzburgo.
A pocos cientos de metros de la fortaleza de Hohensalzburg se encuentra otro edificio emblemático de la ciudad: la Catedral de Salzburgo. No lejos del barrio de la catedral se encuentra el famoso número 9 de la calle Getreidestraße, donde vino al mundo Mozart en el año 1756.
Fiestas y vida nocturna: lo más destacado en cultura en Salzburgo
El festival de Salzburgo, el más importante del mundo de música clásica y artes escénicas, lleva atrayendo aficionados a la cultura desde 1920. Entre los principales atractivos de este festival de los meses de julio y agosto destaca la obra de teatro «Jedermann», distintas representaciones de Strauss y Mozart, así como un insuperable programa de óperas y conciertos.
No puede decirse que Salzburgo hiberne fuera de la temporada de festivales; los lugareños prefieren darse cita en los pintorescos bares de la ciudad. Para ello no existe un barrio concreto; en su lugar, los mejores sitios están distribuidos por todo el casco antiguo. Aunque en el mapa parezca que las cosas están lejos, en realidad está todo a tiro de piedra. Tras una larga noche de fiesta, solo tienes que volver al hotel y soñar con Mozart y los tiempos modernos.
