I came for the Bach Festival. The location was the best I could find, right next Nikolai Kirche and Thomas Kirche. However, I think the services at the hotel are very limited. There is no place to put clothes away (such as a dresser or closet) just a few hangars. No water available in the room just a flimsy paper cup for tap water. No phone in the room to contact the front desk in case of an emergency. Neither is there any laundry service offered by the hotel. No tea or coffee in the room either. It seems more like youth hostel with absolute minimal services. All this for over 200 Euros a night!! This appears to be a a hotel for backpackers and traveling sales people who live in the hotel for a day or two.
It's been quite a few years now that I've chosen to stay at your hotel during the Bach Festival. Mainly because of the location in the city center. Most of it is ok but a couple of things: It's way too stressful at breakfast in the small space where it's served. Sometimes there are no seats available. The wait staff added to the stress by clearing the table more than once before you've finished eating. It was also stressful for the cleaning ladies (20 rooms to clean for one person?!) and the bar staff. None of them expressed dissatisfaction but their body language and the waiting time at the bar in the evening said it all. Strangely enough, it was the reception staff with the least physical work who were the most rude and surly. You didn't feel very welcome. The person who stood out as the absolute most professional and friendly at your hotel was Tina. What a star. Many of us appreciated her manner. Finaly remove the carpets in the rooms. the location is superb for anyone doing the bach festival, being next to one of the main venues ( nikolaikirche ). the room was comfortable. I would have liked one smaller pillow to use between my knees - both pillows per person were very big, so this was a little awkward. but otherwise all was very pleasant. wasn't wild about the breakfast ( there is no variety if you stay for a week ) and would have liked to have more bottles of water given to me for free for this price ( 1 per day ) ..

It was a very nice stay. Everything was clean and the staff was super kind. Only the brakfast was a bit small.
All in all super, for the prize it is fine. BUT the breakfastarea/buffet is TOO SMALL for the many guests beetween 8 and 9.....
Overall my stay was fine. The room was very basic, no tea/coffee in the room but what was there was adequate. The location was perfect and the staff were very helpful.
Great staff on reception, easy use of the facilities and the staff were excellent and all appeared from nowhere to serve people despite the hotel bar being overloaded after the football had finished. Room was good, the option of a twin room would've been nice but that's not a problem.

I was very happy to stay in this hotel becouse is in the center of the city, the price is good, is conforteble, clean, nice style, the worker are gentle and the cofè aerea is opeh h 24. There is only one things not good, ther'is not a laundry service, wash machine for dresses, I wood like if there is
Please bring back the feature to show own content on the TV, which is gone in the latest software version (as I have been told by the staff). I understand if the software stack for Apple/Google Cast is quite pricey to maintain, but then at least allow the use of the hdmi port!
The shower was broken. The curtains did not block the direct early morning light, waking us up just after 5AM. The sound insulation was no match for the church bells. We will not stay here again.
Our stay at the One Motel in Nikolaikirche was absolutely amazing!!! We had 2 rooms with balcony which we really enjoyed. The hotel is in a fantastic location, we liked the variety of the breakfast, very clean rooms, everything was great. We will come back soon.

It's been overall a satisfying experience. What really stood out, though, was the warm, friendly atmosphere among the staff. They were not only professional and thoughtful with the guests, but they also had a lovely, fun and genuinely supportive way of interacting with each other. This friendliness was contagious and made the stay overall a great one.
Comfortable but basic. No net curtain at the window, and no power socket near the desk. When I checked in late on Monday night I was told my stay included breakfast, and my room number was on the breakfast list on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday it was not on the list. The person on reception said my booking did not include breakfast. When I explained that I was told at check-in that it did, and that I had been on the breakfast list for the previous two days, she made it clear she didn't really want to bother finding out what had gone wrong. It seems my booking did not include breakfast although my company had asked for it to be included. Mistakes happen but why was I at first told my booking did include breakfast, and my room number was on the breakfast list for the first two days? Clearly there has been an error in your systems or processes but the reception staff were not interested in finding out what had gone wrong.

the beds in motel one are a crime against humanity. The hotel should replace the mattresses when they are this used up. I travel a lot for business purposes, never sleep as bad as when I have the bad luck of staying in motel one - so other hotels can apparently manage this somehow. + I would never get the breakfast if I would stay here privately (offers too little value for the money).

I'm a long time customer in different locations and the good standard has been always confirmed, except the Berlin Ku'Damm where I had a not very good experience about he cleaning services in the past.
As usual, my stay at Motel One was quite pleasant. Bacon at breakfast is the only thing keeping Motel One from a 10 score in my view. So, please do consider including bacon in the breakfast lineup. Otherwise, great job!
The room is very clean and quiet. The staffs are very friendly. The morning eggs even had happy faces and nice writing!
We had a great stay at Leipzig Nikolaikirche. We were particularly appreciative of being able to check in a little earlier at the receptionist’s suggestion. We thought the room was well appointed and perfect for a couple of nights stay. My wife’s only comment is she would have appreciated having a face washer towel as part of the towel set.

Almost perfect hotel in a perfect location. In the bar a wider choice of wines would be welcome; and who needs a whole menu devoted to different types of gin! At breakfast is would be good if the eggs were not all hard boiled. Of course facilities for making tea of coffee in one's room would also be good.
Everything was excellent and the staff was very helpful,especially in finding doctors for me.I had some problems and everything was easily solved. Manfred Schneider

Hotel Leipzig-Nikolaikirche
Hospédate donde tuvieron lugar los hechos históricos recientes. La Iglesia de San Nicolás fue, en el año 1989, el punto de partida de la revolución pacífica de la RDA que tenía por objeto la caída del Muro de Berlín. En nuestro «Bar 89» mostramos los sucesos y los momentos más importantes mediante imágenes y teletipos. Lo más destacable del bar son los cilindros de vidrio fabricados y lijados a mano de la artista británica Heather Gillespie con imágenes de la Columna de la Victoria situada delante del hotel. Láminas orientables como separadores de ambientes simbolizan el movimiento y el auge, lemas de pancartas de las manifestaciones transmiten el estado de ánimo; como huésped revivirás la emocionante época del cambio. Las velas que representan la fiesta anual de las luces se vuelven a reencontrar en el diseño del hotel.
La marca italiana ilide aporta al ambiente lámparas de péndulo que parecen velas, sobre la gran mesa de comedor hay una lámpara de araña de cristal con puntas de vidrio iluminadas de la fábrica de la Toscana II Pezzo Mancante.
Aunque no podemos olvidarnos de nuestras raíces sajonas. En la recepción te saludan algunos dichos en el dialecto sajón escritos en letras de latón bruñido. Quien quiera analizar en profundidad la sabiduría que entrañan, puede acomodarse en los tresillos de la marca italiana La Cividina. Nuestro hotel de diseño se encuentra directamente en el casco antiguo, al lado de la Iglesia de San Nicolás, de la Iglesia de Santo Tomas y de la estación central. También se llega fácilmente al zoo de Leipzig, al recinto ferial y al aeropuerto Leipzig-Halle.
