Pro: Good location, easy access, big variety at breakfast. Con: tight parking, no elevator from the 2nd garage level.
Nice, well located hotel, good breakfast, etc. Rooms are pretty small, and the A/C was not cooling that much, but overall OK. Price is on the higher end.
Everything great except air-conditioning vent kept banging Every time door or window open or closed. Would be nice to have coffee making facilities in room or at least water.

The hotel is very nice, clean, and well-maintained, and is located in a historic building right on Magdeburg's picturesque Cathedral Square. I highly recommend it!
Everyday signing receipts for parking area can be improved . No need to go reception and sign a paper everyday. Everything else in the hotel was perfect Danke schön

The property is great, a historical building which has been nicely combined with a new wing. The breakfast buffet is great with many high-quality items. One suggestion to improve: the backyard, surrounded by most rooms, is both the breakfast terrace but also doubles as the smokers corner. The latter is highly annoying. Smoke gets into the rooms when the windows are open in summer, and it’s unpleasant to have smoke during breakfast. Moving the smokers corner to the front of the building would be much appreciated.

I stay here regularly, always requesting a quiet room at the back of the hotel. This time I had room 208, but was woken at 5.30 am by loud humming above my room, presumably from the machines on the roof. I remember having this issue on a previous stay here. Must make a mental note not to take a room beneath the machines next time. Otherwise my stay was fine. The hotel is in a beautiful location in the centre of the city, surrounded by amazing churches.
Check in lady very nice also helpful when needing tape and scissors. Lady in bar section in making a tea. Liked the water/water and lemon refreshment for guests in lobby and treats. Only thing missing in room would be a safe. Our room 145 very quiet.
Nice clean rooms friendly employees. breakfast could be on better tabels/chairs instead of eating on lounche chairs.

All in all ok. Bar might be too close to hotels rooms and a local beer from another federal state - I mean there is beer from Magdeburg available. Some more chairs and desk for breakfast would be great - I don't find breakfast in lounge furniture very comfortable.
A very pleasant hotel in a quiet area, very well located. Delicious breakfast, clean room and bathroom. I had a very pleasant stay.
I like to thank the ladies at the hotel bar in the lobby, they served us 2 nights very late (after 01.00 still) with so much energy and friendliness. Really appreciate it!

Very nice venue. Classy and comfortable
I loved my stay. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I had the best view ever towards the festival grounds and the bathroom and bed were absolutely wonderful. Especially the pillows. I like the no service option to not unnecessarily waist resources. The breakfast buffet was great and even good pricing for a only breakfast guest. The only criticism is quite personal, the breakfast aerea was overwhelmed with a full hotel. I guess it's normally more of a business hotel and not so crowded al lat once but the low coffee tables and big chairs while looking nice are not realy made for a breakfast, more for the kittle coffee. And the real tables on the windows could not take all the guests.

Overall good Breakfast eggs inadequate, half cooked only, no scrambled eggs. For 18,50€ one could have expected a bit more.
It's a nice hotel, and there are no surprises if one is familiar with the MotelOne concept. I was travelling alone, and everything was fine to excellent. I can recommend this hotel, and it will be my first choice when visiting Magdeburg again.
The room was just way too small. No space to put anything, not to mention suitcases. 2 people can't even move freely in one room. Breakfast was simple and sufficient, but over priced.
In general it was a nice stay, but the breakfast was a little bit poor.
The location, room, and value were very good and we would choose Motel One Magdeburg again. However, the purchased self-serve breakfast was insufficient for the price charged.
Very friendly teams and very nice hospitatlity
I stayed in an odd wing of the building, next to the reception's door. Room felt very un-cosy because it's big yet very sparsely furnished - a bigger desk, a proper chair, a larger armchair, bedside lamps that are not so low, and a newer model TV (like other Motel One) might improve its appearance. It cost more to stay in this room than the ones in the modern wing, I'd rather stay in a smaller room that feels much more cosier. There is also no mobile phone reception inside my room.

Overall experience was good but on the 8th in the evening I asked for a water to the receptionist (a lady with orange hair) and she had been very unpolite. Some of the other employees have been friendly but that specific was terrible and ruined my experience at the hotel
Every time I return to Magdeburg I seek the possibility to stay with the friendly team at Motel One. Location is perfect in the city center, rooms are very nice and always clean. Breakfast is delicious and well dimensioned. If I should say something on the negative side it would be that the price both for the rooms and for breakfast have gone up in a steep way.

Magdeburgo tiene una historia de más de 1200 años en la que te adentrarás nada más salir por la puerta. Justo al lado del río Elba está el Motel One, enfrente de la Catedral de Magdeburgo, que es una de las primeras catedrales góticas de Alemania y el monumento emblemático de la ciudad. Aquí disfrutarás del silencio de la casa de Dios y podrás contemplar piezas de exposición de diferentes épocas artísticas. Las esculturas de arenisca del gótico temprano, pasando por las famosas estatuas de pórticos de las vírgenes, hasta la sillería de los canónigos no te dejarán indiferente. El edificio Grüne Zitadelle (que es rosa, aunque se la llame ciudadela verde) se considera una de las obras más importantes del artista Hundertwasser; concebida como edificio de viviendas y comercial salta a la vista por su excéntrica arquitectura. Aquí encontrarás cafeterías, restaurantes y tiendas que no se ven a primera vista. A pie desde el hotel también llegarás en pocos minutos al antiguo ayuntamiento que tiene una historia que se remonta al siglo XII.

Y si estando en Magdeburgo te gustan los espacios verdes, no tendrás que andar mucho. Cruzando uno de los puentes del Elba, llegarás al parque de la ciudad, donde puedes darte largos paseos y relajarte. Si quieres descubrir cómo ha cambiado el aspecto de Magdeburgo, lo mejor es que te des un paseo recorriendo la orilla del Elba. El río desempeña un papel importante para la ciudad. Y siguiendo ese camino, también llegarás a dos de los lugares de fiesta de la ciudad. El «Hassel» está a pocos minutos a pie desde el hotel y aquí los bares y las tascas se suceden uno tras otro. Si quieres algo más alternativo y con mucho más encanto artístico, no te pierdas Buckau yendo más hacia el sur.
