Very nice venue. Classy and comfortable
I loved my stay. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I had the best view ever towards the festival grounds and the bathroom and bed were absolutely wonderful. Especially the pillows. I like the no service option to not unnecessarily waist resources. The breakfast buffet was great and even good pricing for a only breakfast guest. The only criticism is quite personal, the breakfast aerea was overwhelmed with a full hotel. I guess it's normally more of a business hotel and not so crowded al lat once but the low coffee tables and big chairs while looking nice are not realy made for a breakfast, more for the kittle coffee. And the real tables on the windows could not take all the guests.

Overall good Breakfast eggs inadequate, half cooked only, no scrambled eggs. For 18,50€ one could have expected a bit more.
It's a nice hotel, and there are no surprises if one is familiar with the MotelOne concept. I was travelling alone, and everything was fine to excellent. I can recommend this hotel, and it will be my first choice when visiting Magdeburg again.
The room was just way too small. No space to put anything, not to mention suitcases. 2 people can't even move freely in one room. Breakfast was simple and sufficient, but over priced.
In general it was a nice stay, but the breakfast was a little bit poor.
The location, room, and value were very good and we would choose Motel One Magdeburg again. However, the purchased self-serve breakfast was insufficient for the price charged.
Very friendly teams and very nice hospitatlity
I stayed in an odd wing of the building, next to the reception's door. Room felt very un-cosy because it's big yet very sparsely furnished - a bigger desk, a proper chair, a larger armchair, bedside lamps that are not so low, and a newer model TV (like other Motel One) might improve its appearance. It cost more to stay in this room than the ones in the modern wing, I'd rather stay in a smaller room that feels much more cosier. There is also no mobile phone reception inside my room.

Overall experience was good but on the 8th in the evening I asked for a water to the receptionist (a lady with orange hair) and she had been very unpolite. Some of the other employees have been friendly but that specific was terrible and ruined my experience at the hotel
Every time I return to Magdeburg I seek the possibility to stay with the friendly team at Motel One. Location is perfect in the city center, rooms are very nice and always clean. Breakfast is delicious and well dimensioned. If I should say something on the negative side it would be that the price both for the rooms and for breakfast have gone up in a steep way.

It was our second stay at Motel One this August. We were greeted by the same lovely gentleman who spoke great English and was very helpful at checking in especially that we don’t speak German at all! All Staff have been absolutely amazing. Every time we needed anything, they were there to assist. Not to mention going an extra mile for us (we were super tired after the long journey) with preparing some sandwiches late in the evening! Thank you very much for being so kind and also for offering water bowls for our dogs - such a lovely gesture and made us all feel very welcome. We will definitely be back! :) Anna&Bart + Ozzy&Cooper

The hotel has a great location, the people at the reception, bar and breakfast service are very friendly and accommodating. The bar has a lot of very good drinks to choose from and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. The hotel is very clean and there are parking lots available the garage beside the hotel. Easy to access. The rooms are nice and clean and our rooms (Mom and me) were silent although being on the side of the hotel facing the road. I deducted one point from the room review because the aircondition in my room didn’t seem to work as well as in my moms room although they were at the same setting and the water pressure in my room was a little low. Not having a place to store clothes still works out good. The breakfast was very nice ( a lot of things to choose from). A great thing is the question at the beginning about the cleaning of the room. To be able to choose that you don’t need cleaning and new towels every day is a great idea and is a plus for sustainability. All in all a very nice stay in the motel one and we are looking forward to staying there again.

We stayed at Motel One in Magdeburg after a long car journey from the UK, with our two cocker spaniels (1/08). The hotel and its staff are lovely! The location is just perfect, breakfast was a great value with lots of options. I was greeted by a very attentive and friendly gentleman who looked after the area very well. We absolutely loved the soundproofing which is really important if you want a good night sleep. Looking forward to stay with you again in two weeks time :)

Well designed great value for money hotel. Friendly staff with excellent English for any English speakers travelling in Germany. Lovely internal courtyard area for breakfast outside on one side. Great views of Cathedral and Square on other side. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would be a good simple addition to increase the score from and 8 to a 10/10.

Good overall. Great location. Only negatieve is that this room was just far too small. No way to unpack or store anything WiFi is unprotected. That seems to be a trend in hotels but that exposes your guests to hacking etcetera. Not really acceptable for a responsible hotel.

An elegant building in a elegant square, stays are a pleasant mix of efficiency and style. Rooms are a bit small and the elevator frequently decided that it was healthier to use the stairs.

The hand written welcome message on the paper room card holder was absolutely phenomenal! I’ve never experienced such a nice detail! The room was clean and very silent. The main lamp in my room was making a buzzing sound. (and was still an incandescent bulb!) The left lamp of my bed was way brighter than the right one, way too bright in fact. There were stains on the wall opposide the window and above the batahroom door. Lots of stains. There was no water upon arrival in my room despite me being a member for years I had to go get it myself. The window leaked (But this could have been due to the high winds?) The room cleaning service seems to only be in the morning, so if you want to sleep late, no cleaning for you. I used to stay at MotelOne before during my business trips to Munich, that is how I discovered it. In fact I have recommended your hotel for years to my company and colleagues. The point was: you knew you were getting a clean room and what to expect for the competitive price. Unfortunately, the circa 80 Euros prices have now reached over 100 Euros which brings it to the price tier of a hotel like the Radisson Blu. But the rooms remain core basic! For a comparable price at the Radisson Blu, one gets: Larger and WAY more luxurious room, huge bathroom, many ammenities, closets, room sound system, water on arrival, the list goes on and on too long to mention here. I paid 16,50 for my breakfast: I got an undercooked boiled egg (not amused), cold cuts, a croissant, and a fruit salad. In comparaison, for 17,50 at the Radisson Blu, the chef makes you the eggs you like and the buffet is 5 times larger, including salmon and bubbly! Motel One used to be a good budget option, It seems it has now become a mid-priced option with budget offerings. Greedy. For me this model makes no sense anymore. It's a shame.
I stay at this hotel on average every second week for several nights. Despite asking for room features (quiet, with possibility to open window) these are being ignored when allocating the rooms. Arriving late after a long working day this feels rather frustrating.

Magdeburgo tiene una historia de más de 1200 años en la que se adentrará nada más salir por la puerta. Justo al lado del río Elba está el Motel One, enfrente de la Catedral de Magdeburgo que es una de las primeras catedrales góticas de Alemania y el monumento emblemático de la ciudad. Aquí disfrutará del silencio de la casa de Dios y podrá contemplar piezas de exposición de diferentes épocas artísticas. Las esculturas de arenisca del gótico temprano, pasando por las famosas estatuas de pórticos de las vírgenes, hasta la sillería de los canónigos no le dejarán indiferente. Le recomendamos que como parada intermedia se pase por nuestra One Lounge simplemente a tomarse un café.
La segunda pieza arquitectónica clave en el barrio de la catedral también se encuentra justo enfrente de la puerta de nuestro hotel. El edificio Grüne Zitadelle (que es rosa, aunque se la llame ciudadela verde) se considera como una de las obras más importantes del artista Hundertwasser; concebida como edificio de viviendas y comercial salta a la vista por su excéntrica arquitectura. Aquí encontrará cafeterías, restaurantes y tiendas que no se ven a primera vista. A pie desde el hotel también llegará en pocos minutos al antiguo ayuntamiento que tiene una historia que se remonta hasta el siglo XII.

Y si estando en Magdeburgo le gustan los espacios verdes, no tendrá que andar mucho. Cruzando uno de los puentes del Elba, llegará al parque de la ciudad donde puede darse largos paseos y relajarse. Si quiere descubrir cómo ha cambiado el aspecto de Magdeburgo, lo mejor es darse un paseo recorriendo la orilla del Elba. El río desempeña un papel importante para la ciudad. Y siguiendo ese camino también llegará a dos de los lugares de fiesta de la ciudad. El «Hassel» está a pocos minutos a pie desde el hotel y aquí los bares y las tascas se suceden uno tras otro. Algo más alternativo y con mucho más encanto artístico yendo más hacia el sur se llega a Buckau.
Algo está claro, Magdeburgo es una ciudad para exploradores. Y lo mejor para dejarse impresionar es explorarla a pie. Es un gran esfuerzo y por eso le damos la bienvenida después de un día lleno deemociones a nuestra One Lounge donde podrá elegir su bebida favorita de entre una gran variedad.
