Nice, well located hotel, good breakfast, etc. Rooms are pretty small, and the A/C was not cooling that much, but overall OK. Price is on the higher end.

Everything great except air-conditioning vent kept banging Every time door or window open or closed. Would be nice to have coffee making facilities in room or at least water.

The hotel is very nice, clean, and well-maintained, and is located in a historic building right on Magdeburg's picturesque Cathedral Square. I highly recommend it!
Everyday signing receipts for parking area can be improved . No need to go reception and sign a paper everyday. Everything else in the hotel was perfect Danke schön

The property is great, a historical building which has been nicely combined with a new wing. The breakfast buffet is great with many high-quality items. One suggestion to improve: the backyard, surrounded by most rooms, is both the breakfast terrace but also doubles as the smokers corner. The latter is highly annoying. Smoke gets into the rooms when the windows are open in summer, and it’s unpleasant to have smoke during breakfast. Moving the smokers corner to the front of the building would be much appreciated.

Erg fijn hotel op een prima locatie in Maagdenburg. Schone kamers, fijne badkamer, uitstekend ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Parkeren direct bij de locatie. Prima prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.
Goede kamer. Receptie was matig. De volgende dag toen er een man bij de receptie was een stuk beter

I stay here regularly, always requesting a quiet room at the back of the hotel. This time I had room 208, but was woken at 5.30 am by loud humming above my room, presumably from the machines on the roof. I remember having this issue on a previous stay here. Must make a mental note not to take a room beneath the machines next time. Otherwise my stay was fine. The hotel is in a beautiful location in the centre of the city, surrounded by amazing churches.
Check in lady very nice also helpful when needing tape and scissors. Lady in bar section in making a tea. Liked the water/water and lemon refreshment for guests in lobby and treats. Only thing missing in room would be a safe. Our room 145 very quiet.
Nice clean rooms friendly employees. breakfast could be on better tabels/chairs instead of eating on lounche chairs.

All in all ok. Bar might be too close to hotels rooms and a local beer from another federal state - I mean there is beer from Magdeburg available. Some more chairs and desk for breakfast would be great - I don't find breakfast in lounge furniture very comfortable.
A very pleasant hotel in a quiet area, very well located. Delicious breakfast, clean room and bathroom. I had a very pleasant stay.
I like to thank the ladies at the hotel bar in the lobby, they served us 2 nights very late (after 01.00 still) with so much energy and friendliness. Really appreciate it!

Very nice venue. Classy and comfortable
I loved my stay. Everybody was friendly and helpful. I had the best view ever towards the festival grounds and the bathroom and bed were absolutely wonderful. Especially the pillows. I like the no service option to not unnecessarily waist resources. The breakfast buffet was great and even good pricing for a only breakfast guest. The only criticism is quite personal, the breakfast aerea was overwhelmed with a full hotel. I guess it's normally more of a business hotel and not so crowded al lat once but the low coffee tables and big chairs while looking nice are not realy made for a breakfast, more for the kittle coffee. And the real tables on the windows could not take all the guests.

Heel vriendelijke ontvangst, lekker ontbijt, mooie kamer. Een absoluut positief punt is de geweldige isolatie. Er was op de Domplatz een openluchtconcert van één of andere Duitse band maar in mijn kamer was daar niets van te horen. Top gewoonweg

It's a nice hotel, and there are no surprises if one is familiar with the MotelOne concept. I was travelling alone, and everything was fine to excellent. I can recommend this hotel, and it will be my first choice when visiting Magdeburg again.
The room was just way too small. No space to put anything, not to mention suitcases. 2 people can't even move freely in one room. Breakfast was simple and sufficient, but over priced.
In general it was a nice stay, but the breakfast was a little bit poor.

The location, room, and value were very good and we would choose Motel One Magdeburg again. However, the purchased self-serve breakfast was insufficient for the price charged.
Mooi hotel in een prachtig oud pand, mooi gelegen in het stadscentrum. Schone goede kamers. Minpunt vind ik dat er geen laadpunten zijn voor stekker auto’s.
Very friendly teams and very nice hospitatlity
I stayed in an odd wing of the building, next to the reception's door. Room felt very un-cosy because it's big yet very sparsely furnished - a bigger desk, a proper chair, a larger armchair, bedside lamps that are not so low, and a newer model TV (like other Motel One) might improve its appearance. It cost more to stay in this room than the ones in the modern wing, I'd rather stay in a smaller room that feels much more cosier. There is also no mobile phone reception inside my room.

Overall experience was good but on the 8th in the evening I asked for a water to the receptionist (a lady with orange hair) and she had been very unpolite. Some of the other employees have been friendly but that specific was terrible and ruined my experience at the hotel
Every time I return to Magdeburg I seek the possibility to stay with the friendly team at Motel One. Location is perfect in the city center, rooms are very nice and always clean. Breakfast is delicious and well dimensioned. If I should say something on the negative side it would be that the price both for the rooms and for breakfast have gone up in a steep way.
Very nice personal at the checkin, basic but clean room, nice view, calm atmosphere.

Welkom aan de Elbe
De hoofdstad van Saksen-Anhalt laat zich pas na twee keer kijken van zijn beste kant zien, maar vanaf dan ben je verloren. Dat zeggen niet alleen de inwoners van Maagdenburg, ook de talrijke toeristen die jaarlijks deze stad bezoeken, zijn het hier roerend mee eens. Als politiek centrum van het land is deze groene stad aan de Elbe met zijn historische gebouwen de laatste decennia uitgegroeid tot een levendige cultuurstad met een erelijst aan prachtige attracties. En deze evolutie voel je ook wanneer jij het je in ons designhotel in de heerlijke boxsprings comfortabel maakt om de volgende dag je ontdekkingstocht door de stad te starten na een gezond biologisch ontbijt. Maagdenburg heeft een geschiedenis van meer dan 1200 jaar achter zich en die begint meteen voor onze deur. Direct aan de Elbe gelegen kijkt ons Motel One uit op de Dom van Maagdenburg, het symbool van deze stad en tegelijkertijd een van de eerste gotische kathedralen van Duitsland. Hier ervaar je de rust van een godshuis en worden diverse belangrijke stukken uit diverse stijlperioden tentoongesteld. Zo vind je hier vroeggotische sculpturen uit zandsteen, de beroemde portaalfiguren van de maagden alsook het koorgestoelte van de kanunniken van de Dom. Als pauze nodigen wij je uit voor een kopje koffie in onze gezellige One Lounge.
De tweede architecturale trekpleister in de wijk rondom de Dom die je niet mag missen, bevindt zich eveneens recht tegenover onze hoteldeur: de Groene Citadel (die eigenlijk roze is). Dit gebouw wordt gezien als een van de belangrijkste werken van de kunstenaar Hundertwasser. Door zijn excentrische architectuur kun je dit woon- en winkelcomplex absoluut niet missen. Cafeetjes, restaurants en winkels wisselen elkaar hier vrolijk af. Even wandelen en je bent van het hotel bij het Alte Rathaus, waarvan de geschiedenis teruggaat tot in de 12e eeuw.

Houd je van groen, dan hoef je niet ver te gaan in Maagdenburg. Via een brug over de Elbe ben je zo in het stadspark waar je naar hartenlust kunt wandelen en flaneren. Wanneer je wilt zien hoe Maagdenburg opeens een heel ander gezicht krijgt, raden wij je aan om langs de recent geëxploiteerde oeverpromenade langs de Elbe te wandelen. De rivier speelt in deze stad immers een steeds belangrijkere rol. Via deze weg wandel je ook naar twee uitgaansgebieden van de stad. De 'Hassel' ligt op wandelafstand van het hotel en is een aaneenschakeling van bars en kroegen. De alternatieve scène die ook artistieke charme uitstraalt, loopt in zuidelijke richting, namelijk 'Buckau'.
Eén ding is zeker: Maagdenburg is een stad voor ontdekkers. En wie indrukken wil opdoen, doet dat best te voet.
