Breakfast was continental but no cereals or yogurts, I feel adding these would be a better experience.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great for the conference I was attending and the main reason I chose the hotel. The cost was paid for through work and was inline with budgets. The room and bathroom was nicely laid out. It was perfectly suitable for what I needed. I would have like a fridge and an iron for shirts. Breakfast felt a bit expensive for a continental breakfast so I did not pay extra for it.
Mobile signal was very poor, so was unable to make any calls, however the free strong Wi-Fi compensated for this.
Clean comfortable hotel. Quiet room. Comfortable bed. Tea/,coffee in the room. Very convenient to station and city centre. Free buses from station to shopping areas. Staff helpful and polite. Magnifying mirror on bathroom wall excellent idea but was a bit loose, but no doubt easily fixed. Didn't eat at hotel so can't comment on food
Great location next to the train station and walkable to many points of interest! Breakfast buffet was very complete, and best of all the price was more than reasonable.

Great location for city centre. Good sized room, with lovely big bed. No bedside table, which I need, but there was a portable table I moved to use by the bedside, so not an issue. We didn’t have breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. Also there’s a nice bar/lounge area downstairs. The view from our room was just an office block across the way, but I guess this was because I requested a quiet room, which it was. We would definitely stay here again.
Very convenient location, we had an early train to catch. Good sized room, quality bathroom and good selection of tea/ coffee Great value for money We didn’t have breakfast but it looked really good

Conveniently located near Piccadilly station, hotel offers a comfortable and quiet stay for business purposes during the working week. Room was modern and spacious for one person. Breakfast had a good selection of food. Will definitely return.

Great location near the station, very quick check in . My room was very clean and quiet.
Overall, Motel One provides a very comfortable stay at a reasonable price. There are a few areas, however, where cutting costs is felt more acutely than others. The lack of a safe in the hotel room is annoying for business travellers, especially since the door to my room required a strong back to pull shut properly when leaving. The breakfast is OK, at best. I can't fault the eco credentials of the showers, but the cold tap in my sink never quite ran cold, so some energy is being wasted there and I couldn't fill up my drinking water bottle. This is not in the motel's control, but the honking of the tram early in the morning outside was annoying and maybe triple glazing might have been a solution for the front-facing bedrooms.

always very good service , have stayed in motel one in barcelona also , great bar area for relaxing very chilled atmosphere, rooms adequate for stay comfy bed , hotel is right near Manchester picadilly station which is ideal ,plenty of pubs and places to eat near by
Great location and value for money stay
We had a wonderful stay at the weekend for my 30th birthday. I was greeted warmly and gifted a free drink for my birthday in the bar. Room was was great. Would definitely stay again.
Very clean and tidy. Reception staff very friendly and informative. The bed was comfy, did not want to get out of it in the morning! Lovely shower.

Should have had a soap holder in shower as difficult to use on top off a soap dish attached to shower bar holder that was wobbly Felt like you were going to break it every time you push the soap down. Plus it was a bit cold in the room a/c just turned off when turned up.

We were in Manchester for a concert at the Apollo. So just 1 night. Rooms are small but perfect for a short stay. Rooms are well equipped (tea/coffee, plenty of electrical sockets, hairdryer etc). It's a 2 minute walk to picadilly station. We didn't have the continental breakfast but had cocktails later (bar open til 2). We've stayed at the Exchange one before so I thought it was similar. My daughter preferred the other! Good value I would totally recommend.
stylish hotel. i was rebooked at checkin for a cheaper price to book direct and late checkout to 3pm However my room key stopped working at 12pm and cleaning were forceably and aggressively banging on my door at 12pm. Also pillows and douvet were not comfortable! they felt very likew polyester!
As always, I've had a fantastic stay. All staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The only thing I would like to see an improvement on was a the The Pillows (not the cases) and the duvet (not the cover) had stains on them. The linen itself was clean. The sink also had some small stains, whilst it was clean, it gave them impression that it wasn't. I must stress though, the cleanliness of the whole hotel was brilliant.
I enjoy my stays with the hotel, however receiving multiple emails in German when I book a hotel in the United Kingdom, in English is annoying. I didn't realise I could check in online until I got to the hotel and found out that an email had been sent, in a language I do not understand. Poor form, even though I know Motel One is a German owned Company.
All was good - accept the TV cable caused intermittent disconnect. So picture and sound was not always good.
Amazing hotel, very easy check in and check out. the staff were very friendly and approachable! the only things we found was there was hairs on the cover when we arrived and there was no bin in the bedroom. otherwise the absolute perfect hotel and would 100% recommend

Honestly one of the best stays I've had. Such a lovely, welcome reception, rooms were fab & clean. Central location, parking next door, train station opposite. I'll definitely be back!
My visit was only short so I didn't get to fully experience the facilities but overall I left disappointed with the room. No iron + board, no kettle facilities and the shower heads setting wasn't adjustable meaning the shower water blasted off me in only 3 "streams" making water go all over. The bedroom door was thick and secure but I had to force the door closed. This must be similar for other rooms as I heard doors slamming most of the night. I had a warm welcome, the desk staff were friendly and helpful.

i regularly stay, once a month for business. the hotel is well located and has a good appearance for the cost. I find the staff really friendly and accommodating. I'm not a big fan of the breakfast option, but overall its a good package.
Very clean, comfortable bed and linens, very quiet. It was a shame that the soap dispenser in the shower did not work. Also , on the second day the sanitary sacks were not replenished.
The hotel is very clean, and the bathroom floor is not slippery, which is safe. Although I had a bad ankle injury during my stay, all staff members were attentive and very caring. Hailey and Poppy were incredibly helpful; they kept asking if I needed any help, as did the other staff. I do appreciate their kindness. So thank you very much.
A very good stay, clean room. The only problem was there was no cellular network and the wifi hardly worked, making me feel trapped in there without a means of communicating or doing vital work on my laptop
Really friendly and helpful staff there, always feel welcome. When I left my headphones behind they were straight on it and had a call back within 10 minutes, they found them and kept them for me.
The woman at reception was absolutely fabulous. I told her I was in Manchester for exams and she moved me to a quieter room at the end of a hallway without me asking and asked if I needed any more pens/paper to study. I really appreciated it.
Hotel Royal Exchange v Manchestru - pokoj byl malý, pro jednu osobu dostačující, chyběl mi pracovní stůl. V rámci možností na daném místě asi je to maximum možného (komfort). Hotel u Piccadilly - family room - skvělé! Uvítala bych teplou snídani (alespoň smažená vajíčka). Takže v hotelu jsem nesnídala. V obou případech skvělý staff.
