Goedgelegen hotel, midden in het centrum. Alles nieuw en hygiënisch. Openbare parkings in de nabijheid, maar liefst eerst bagage aan het hotel zelf afzetten.

Great location, room a little small but was OK for a short stay. Really needs privacy/net curtains as room was very overlooked and the only way for privacy is to shut out all the natural light during the day, which was not good. Reception often left unmanned. Overall it was just OK, not bad but not outstanding either.

Xellent service, good bed, good bathroom. No aircondition so thinner blankets would have been better. Missed cooked food for breakfast and breakfast room not so comfortable and a bit noisy.
A good hotel, but vi had a bad experience. All of a sudden a big leak started in the shower after we had went to bed. We had to get up from the bed to go down and inform the reception. They had to have someone to come and fix it. We got a new room,, luckily, and the staff behaved professionally. My leather toiletbag with content got very wet, though, and the evening ended different from what we hoped it would! We have a new reservation in motel one Lubeck July 20th and hope for a better experience then. A small compensation would then be appreciated!

Would like to add comments below each sektor, easier. But; * breakfast - to have this level of breakfast 2025 is only ”ok”. Barely. With no warm food u need to make it up with extremely good other setup, but what u current have is only ”ok”. For eg there was no knife for the bread, few options of cheese etc. This is at a level where u actually get surprised; i expected more and is really a reason for not recommending the Hotel. * the bathroom was nice - especially the shower - but no body lotion or conditioner, and the door kept closing. * the level of English at the personal needs to be better if u wanna attract international customers. From cleaners to bar staff. Its faschinating that hotel staff cannot answer when the check out time is, or/and in english. Would recommend you to give the staff some basic English lessons. (Not a problem in the reception.)
Only selling water for 6 Euro is completely ridiculous to be honest. Either offer one free bottle per room or offer water spenders.

Perfect located, clean, modern and Nice staff. Perfect lobby lounge/bar with comfortable deep chairs. And here is my minus: You are forced to sit in the deep chairs to low coffeetables when eating breakfast (except one table, always occupied at breakfast). Please exchange some og the 20 lounge groups with "sitting up" tables, it's never filled up as "lounge use" during day and evening. Of course you can store and swap if particular arrangements😀
We have stayed at 3 other MotelOne properties during this trip, and Lubeck stands out as the best! Rita at the front desk recommended two wonderful restaurants, and everyone was helpful from Wascheteria to Museum to churches. We love Lubeck!

Beautiful spot in the centre of Lübeck
I really enjoyed my stay at the Motel One Lübeck. My room afforded views of what is a historic and visually stunning city. And the Motel One staff were alert, attentive, and extremely helpful. I really appreciated their kindness. Finally, the excellent breakfasts at Motel-One got each day in Lübeck off to a very good start.

Excellent location, fair prices and warm rooms. Attitude challenges amongst the staff at the bar/reception. But it is a busy place.

The location of Motel One Lübeck is unbeatable. The room was nice and clean, although it felt a bit small. We took advantage of the bar/ lounge area, which was also quite cozy. It would have been great to have a larger selection of food or snacks. All the staff at the Motel were very friendly and accommodating.

Wij zijn altijd erg enthousiast over motel one. Deze keer hadden we een beetje pech. Eerste kamer een wc die constant doorspoelde, meteen een andere kamer gekregen. Daar werkte de airco niet en de douche was koud. zijn we niet gewend zo. We werden wel heel vriendelijk geholpen en er werd meteen naar gekeken als we het aangaven dat er iets niet goed was. Supervriendelijk als altijd, dat maakt dan weer veel goed.
Het is zeker niet het beste Motel One waar ik al geweest ben (en dat zijn er meerdere, zoals Berlijn, Freiburg, Aachen, Hamburg, Bremen, ...), maar het is wel één van de duurdere. Dat zou beter kunnen.
Stille kamers (een ruime Comfort kamer), schoon en ruim sanitair en een uitstekend ontbijt.

De badkamer is zo klein dat je hem niet samen kunt gebruiken. Het ontbijt wordt laat aangevuld en er zijn maar weinig stoelen en tafels waar je normaal kunt zitten. Wij boeken nooit meer een Motel One hotel.
Kamers zijn wel aan de krappe kant.

Voordelig design hotels in Lübeck – uw Motel One
Wist u dat in 1987 de oude binnenstad van Lübeck als eerste als complete binnenstad tot UNESCO-werelderfgoedlijst is uitgeroepen? Tijdens een tocht door de meer dan 80 betoverende steegjes en pleintjes merkt u al snel dat de oude binnenstad van Lübeck wereldwijd uniek is.
Het onbetwiste symbool van de marsepein-stad is echter het Holstentor, dat niet alleen de 50 DM-biljetten sierden, maar ook het stadsbeeld van Lübeck kenmerkt. Vanuit het hedendaagse perspectief is het nauwelijks voorstelbaar dat het Holstentor zou worden afgebroken voor de bouw van de spoorweg. Maar één stem in de gemeenteraad zorgde ervoor dat we er nog steeds van kunnen genieten. Trouwens, let tijdens een bezoek aan het Holstentor eens op de stand van de beide torens – best wel scheef toch? Vanaf het Hostentor bent u snel ook in de Alte Salzspeicher, de zoutopslag waar vroeger het 'witte goud' van Lübeck werd opgeslagen. Tegenwoordig kunt u in de indrukwekkende gebouwen overigens heerlijk voor kleding shoppen. Daarna kunt u zich aan de Obertrave tegoed doen aan een heerlijke lunch, terwijl u geniet van het uitzicht op het Holstentor en de Salzspeicher. Ook vanaf de andere overzijde is het uitzicht op de Obertrave uniek – het is niet voor niets dat het uitzicht de bijnaam 'Schildershoek' heeft.

Lübeck is niet alleen trots op de fascinerende oude binnenstad, maar het mag ook nog eens drie Nobelprijswinnaars tot zijn burgers rekenen. Willy Brandt en Thomas Mann zijn in de hanzestad geboren, Günter Grass heeft Lübeck uitverkoren als zijn thuisbasis.
Lübeck is niet meer de handelsstad zoals in de Middeleeuwen, maar er wordt wel fair gehandeld. Sinds 2012 draagt Lübeck de titel 'Fairtrade-stad'. Restaurants, cafés, hotels en winkeliers zetten zich in voor een wereldwijde faire handel en geven zo vorm aan het sympathieke stadsleven van Lübeck.
Wilt u de culinaire kant van de hanzestad leren kennen? Probeer dan eens de beroemde marsepein van Lübeck. Die is als herkomstbenaming zelfs door de EU beschermd en moet voldoen aan strikte kwaliteitsbeginselen.
