Room was too hot, airconditioning didn’t properly work.

Weer een heerlijk verblijf. Kamer met kingsize bed, schoon, niet heel groot maar zeker ruim genoeg, alles aanwezig en schoon. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel in receptie. 1x ter plekke ontbijt gehad en dat was uitstekend (veel keus en veel vers). Locatie is top (50m van t plein en toch geen overlast ) voor een paar nachten bezoek aan Lubeck. P-garage op 400m voor max €18 p/d.
Breakfast tables were not cleaned on July 29 at all in between 7.40 and 8.00 am. There were several tables with leftover dishes from previous customers and even the tables that were "cleaned" had bread crumbs everywhere and fatty table mats from previous clients.
Hands down, this hotel has it all, location, cleanliness, comfort and value for your money. The breakfast can be better especially for the price you charge.
The room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. However, there was hair in the shower when we checked in, which was not a pleasant first impression. We mentioned it at the reception, and since I had already cleaned it up myself, the only response we got was, “Okay, so it’s fine now?” That wasn’t the level of service we expected. In addition, the hotel was so busy that we couldn’t find a seat for breakfast. A staff member suggested that we sit on the terrace, but the weather wasn’t great, and we had a small baby with us who couldn’t sit outside. We ended up waiting almost 20 minutes for a table. I think the breakfast area could be used more efficiently, with more tables and chairs instead of so many large armchairs taking up space. We weren’t the only ones waiting for a table, and it was disappointing to look forward to a relaxing breakfast only to end up standing with our coffee. When we checked out the following day, we weren’t even asked whether we had enjoyed our stay. The receptionist simply said, “Yes, it’s fine.” Overall, the service was disappointing. In fact, I was the one who had to wish her a nice day, rather than the other way around. 😅

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Norderney hotel in the centre of Lubeck. We found the front of house staff warm, friendly and helpful at all times. We were late coming down to breakfast because I was listening to the UK radio and thought it was nine o‘clock. The staff were so accommodating. The housekeeping staff were super efficient and helpful.
Alles was zeer goed. Punten ter verbetering: Glazen drinkglazen in de kamer. In de lounge opletten op de stand van de airco. De hittegolf was al voorbij en het was fris en winderig buiten, in de lounge moest je een vest of trui aan vanwege de koude stand van de airco. Om de sfeer te verhogen tijdens het Chicken mogen de waxinelichtjes om 20.00 uur al aangestoken worden.

We had an excellent stay at Motel One Lübeck. The location is perfect—right in the city center, with all the main attractions, restaurants, and cafés just a short walk away. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the rooms were modern and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated the great service, the relaxed atmosphere, and the attention to detail. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Motel One Lübeck to anyone visiting this beautiful city.
We arrived as two couples around dinner time without a reservation. We discovered that booking online was cheaper than booking directly at reception, so we made the reservation online and enjoyed a gin and tonic while waiting for it to be confirmed. The wait was absolutely worth it. The gin selection at the bar is simply outstanding. They even have a "gin bible" on the tables with around 40–50 different gins, all carefully organized by country. It's obvious that a great deal of thought and passion has gone into curating the selection. If you're a gin enthusiast, this bar alone is worth a visit. The hotel itself is very well located. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional. Our rooms were cozy, spotless, and well ventilated, making for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and of high quality. We would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future.

Small but nice rooms. Very good location. Some coffee/tea on the room would be nice. Bed was very good. Online check in was very long and we still had to go to reception and get checked in, because we had two rooms and they where not placed near each other. Breakfast was expensive considering what was included.

Overall the hotel and room are nice and breakfast was good. The room was not ready at 15:00 when we arrived. And the bathroom always smelled a bit bad.
Beste Lage!
Goed hotel, centraal in Lubeck. Niets op aan te merken, behalve….het ontbijt. Er zijn geen tafeltjes. Je eet met het bord op de knieeen in de luie lounchestoelen/ banken waarin je ‘savonds een glaasje drinkt! Dit kan echt niet. Dus ga naar dit hotel, maar ontbijt echt elders!! Buiten zijn daarvoor veel locaties te vinden.

Fast check-in, pleasant room, very central location. It would have been helpful to have a handle in the shower area, plus rubber non-slip strips in the shower, so giving your guests a safer stay.
Just needed a stay for the night on my way home to Sweden. Quite small room but i had everything needed, fresh, clean and good for the price. Really nice and alerte people in the reception / bar. And, very well situated.
I would recommend this hotel for the location and the friendly staff.
Lovely clean, modern, hotel in the centre of Lübeck.
During my stay, I experienced a clear lack of privacy and room quality, resulting in a poor guest experience. The room had an uncovered window facing a public/internal area, allowing direct visibility inside. The opposite side faced an unpleasant external environment, further reducing comfort. When I raised the issue, it was dismissed as not a known concern, and no practical solution was offered at first. I was initially told no room change was possible due to full occupancy, but only later offered an alternative after submitting a written complaint. Management follow-up was also delayed/missing . Overall, this reflects a lack of privacy and disregard for customer experience.
Clean, nice and indeed a very cozy place with a lovely breakfast - really wide selection of organic products. We ordered a room with a king size bed for the two of us and our daughter, but there was an extra bed in the room as well. Lovely beds and pillows - we got a really good sleep. Nice and clean room with a lovely view, big windows and the possibility to darken the room completely at night. Very quiet area. Lovely scented soaps in the bathroom - a little feeling of luxury. The staff was so friendly and serviceminded - special thanks to Eddy who saved us, when our car got locked up in the parking house. Directly in the middle of the beautiful, charming old city centre. Clean, nice toilets in the lounge area and an overall really nice vibe 😊 Only thing, that could be extra nice would be a little fridge in the room for beverages... We will definitely come back 😊
Everything was very good but I was upset that I need to make registration instead of only pay the room that was free.
Rooms are comfortable, breakfast very good. Nice to stay in the old center of the city, close to shops etc (on the other hand very quite rooms).
As a couple on holiday, we had a wonderful stay at Motel One Lübeck. The staff were attentive and friendly, the room tidy, clean and quiet
I had a great stay at the motel one. The location in the center of Lübeck is just great. And the rooms as well as the breakfast were at a standard motel one level. However, the greatest compliment belongs to the night shift at the bar. Kemal did provide service far beyond any expectations at both nights we were in the lounge at quite a late (or early) hour. His attitude was also welcoming and friendly at any hour, catering to all needs and actively checking in without being pushy in the slightest way.
We stayed in room 113. Good room, however it would be for privacy reasons even better if the windows could be partially blinded with a foil so that the curtains can be opened over the day
Room 404 We found the room very pleasant but rather too small even for a one night stay. A few more dining tables, rather than coffee tables for the older generation
Goedgelegen hotel, midden in het centrum. Alles nieuw en hygiënisch. Openbare parkings in de nabijheid, maar liefst eerst bagage aan het hotel zelf afzetten.
Motel One is een ster in zijn klasse, locatie en sfeer zijn top!

Prima hotel, mooie kamer, vriendelijk personeel , goed ontbijt
Wij zijn altijd erg enthousiast over motel one. Deze keer hadden we een beetje pech. Eerste kamer een wc die constant doorspoelde, meteen een andere kamer gekregen. Daar werkte de airco niet en de douche was koud. zijn we niet gewend zo. We werden wel heel vriendelijk geholpen en er werd meteen naar gekeken als we het aangaven dat er iets niet goed was. Supervriendelijk als altijd, dat maakt dan weer veel goed.
Het is zeker niet het beste Motel One waar ik al geweest ben (en dat zijn er meerdere, zoals Berlijn, Freiburg, Aachen, Hamburg, Bremen, ...), maar het is wel één van de duurdere. Dat zou beter kunnen.

Voordelige designhotels in Lübeck – jouw Motel One
Wist je dat in 1987 de oude binnenstad van Lübeck als eerste als complete binnenstad tot UNESCO-werelderfgoedlijst is uitgeroepen? Tijdens een tocht door de meer dan 80 betoverende steegjes en pleintjes merk je al snel dat de oude binnenstad van Lübeck wereldwijd uniek is.
Het onbetwiste symbool van de marsepein-stad is echter het Holstentor, dat niet alleen de 50 DM-biljetten sierden, maar ook het stadsbeeld van Lübeck kenmerkt. Vanuit het hedendaagse perspectief is het nauwelijks voorstelbaar dat de Holstentor zou worden afgebroken voor de bouw van de spoorweg. Maar één stem in de gemeenteraad zorgde ervoor dat we er nog steeds van kunnen genieten. Trouwens, let tijdens een bezoek aan de Holstentor eens op de stand van de beide torens – best wel scheef toch? Vanaf het Hostentor ben je snel ook in de Alte Salzspeicher, de zoutopslag waar vroeger het 'witte goud' van Lübeck werd opgeslagen. Tegenwoordig kun je in de indrukwekkende gebouwen overigens heerlijk voor kleding shoppen. Daarna kun je je aan de Obertrave tegoed doen aan een heerlijke lunch, terwijl je geniet van het uitzicht op het Holstentor en de Salzspeicher. Ook vanaf de andere overzijde is het uitzicht op de Obertrave uniek – het is niet voor niets dat het uitzicht de bijnaam 'Schildershoek' heeft.
Nobelprijswinnaar, fairtrade en marsepein
Lübeck is niet alleen trots op de fascinerende oude binnenstad, maar het mag ook nog eens drie Nobelprijswinnaars tot zijn burgers rekenen. Willy Brandt en Thomas Mann zijn in de hanzestad geboren, Günter Grass heeft Lübeck uitverkoren als zijn thuisbasis.
Lübeck is niet meer de handelsstad zoals in de Middeleeuwen, maar er wordt wel fair gehandeld. Sinds 2012 draagt Lübeck de titel 'Fairtrade-stad'. Restaurants, cafés, hotels en winkeliers zetten zich in voor een wereldwijde faire handel en geven zo vorm aan het sympathieke stadsleven van Lübeck.
