Good location, not far from old town. And, the hotel have underground parking with Euro11 per day.
Overall, my stay was acceptable, but the room itself was one of the most poorly designed I’ve ever encountered. Several issues stood out: Missing room amenities — The room had no fridge or kettle, which are basic conveniences I expect at this price point. Disability room assignment — I was assigned a disability-access room despite not requesting one. As a result, the layout was impractical: The toilet was unusually high and uncomfortable to use. The shower was completely open, causing water to spread across the entire bathroom. The shower hose had very low pressure, forcing me to stand awkwardly close to the wall. Poor bed quality — The bed consisted of two separate mattresses. One was fine, but the other was clearly worn out and should have been replaced long ago. Breakfast value concerns — I’m glad I didn’t include breakfast. Charging €18 for a selection that offers only boiled eggs as the sole egg option and no vegetables feels unreasonable. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the check‑in process needs improvement. I arrived around 09:00 after a long journey and was told my room wasn’t ready because cleaning had just begun. I asked whether an earlier check‑in before 15:00 was possible and was told to check back later. When I returned at 11:00, I received the same answer: rooms were still not ready. A simple improvement would be for the front desk to contact housekeeping and adjust the cleaning order when a guest arrives early. Preparing one room sooner does not take two hours, and I even offered to take an uncleaned room temporarily just so I could shower and get to work in better condition. My suggestion: If early check‑in isn’t possible, the hotel should either: Provide a dedicated shower room for guests waiting for their rooms, or Allow guests to access a room that is already free and clean it afterward. Although I have a company discount for my next visit, I will seriously consider paying a bit more elsewhere for a more comfortable stay.

The room was small, the air conditioner didn’t work and the motel was not conveniently located to the downtown area.
Workers started drilling and hammering at 7am in the morning while other guests played loud music till 5am. Didn't get much sleep. Guy at reception was nice and really trying to help though; so props to him.
The room were very neat and the staff are nice. I like the overall color and ambience as well

Room temperature was very high, even I set up thermostat on 17 °C and the bathroom was +5°C warmer then the room, so all of my solid state cosmetics melted. Breakfast was very poor, with no warm food.
Nice hotel in the south of Salzburg. You can reach the inner city within 8-10 minutes by bus. Breakfast was very good!

If you are coming to Salzburg to explore this beautiful city, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The hotel is 3 km from the city center and has excellent public transport connections. The price of the accommodation is very affordable.
Overall Room quality ok as usual but we didnt get the bus ticket this time which should be included in the local tax. We were under time pressure, but still it should be provided by the staff.

Very pleasant hotel, perfectly clean and well designed. Cocktails should be improved, while cappuccino and coffe were very good! I did not have breakfast , but two friends of mine told me that the buffet was excellent. It is not in the historic center, but the buses (stop just in front) reach downtown in 10-15 minutes. Recommended also for its value for money

Cosy and clean. Nice designs. However replace the paper mugs in the rooms. Improve noise isolation. The slamming doors and noise from the hallway are minuses. Nevertheless I could recommend this hotel. Good price-quality relation.
Good value for money in Salzburg. Nice bar/lounge area, breakfast included vegetarian and vegan options. Finding a hotel with parking can be difficult in Salzburg, but here you have two different parking options nearby. The centre is only a short bus ride away and Salzburg now provides mobility tickets for free if you stay overnight, so there are no extra costs for public transport.
Très bon séjour, hôtel bien situé, bus ( ligne 3 ou 8 pour rejoindre le centre) en face de l hôtel, petit déjeuner copieux.
Very nice rooms and lovely lobby to enjoy. So convenient to the bus station and easy to get to town. There were no mini refrigerators in the room, but a great shower, strong blow dryer and great TV.
Dear Motel One staff, I would like to thank you for leaving my phone exactly where I lost it. When I realized that my phone wasn’t with me, I assumed that I must’ve left it in the room somewhere. Parking is a bit intimidating. But we got done. Breakfast was Devine. Thank you so much. There were not any face cloths in the bathroom. Is that usual?

Comfortable and clean room. Ok location, easy to get to the centre of Salzberg via bus (takes about 20mins) not much in terms of places to eat around the hotel itself. No kettle or fridge in the room which was a bit out of the norm. The breakfast is not worth the money at all. Was about 17 euros each and it’s just pastries, fruit and cold meats/cheese. No hot breakfast except maybe a boiled egg. I’d say it’s worth 10 euros. Go up the road to Pur:isst for a brekky worth your money. Most staff were lovely just one let them down in the friendliness ratings.
I am a regular client, visiting the Salzburg Süd several times per month, and usually very satisfied. I find it regrettable that there is no more heating in days of temperatures as cold as 5 Celsius, regardless of what month. It makes the whole stay quite unpleasant, especially as the prices are much higher in May, and one has the feeling of paying much more for an inferior service. I work as a classical singer, I cannot risk being cold. Thanks in advance for thinking about this.

Hôtel idéalement situé proche de la sortie d'autoroute comme du centre ville. Un arrêt de bus est présent en face de l'hôtel. Le personnel est aimable et souriant. Les chambres sont très bien équipées et insonorisées.

Lorsque vous franchissez le seuil de notre hôtel design au prix attractif et tournez le dos aux montagnes, la colline suivante apparaît comme par magie devant vous. En effet, le mur de la réception et du bar de notre hôtel est formé de quatre vitres superposées représentant les trois chaînes de montagne bien connues de la région de Salzbourg : l’Ochsenkopf, les Trois Cimes de Lavaredo et le Kitzsteinhorn. Le comptoir est quant à lui recouvert d’une mosaïque en bois composée d’ouvrages en stuc et en bois tourné. Voyez par vous-même : au Motel One Salzbourg-Süd, design et artisanat ne font qu’un. De confortables sièges revêtus d’un tissu rappelant celui des costumes traditionnels attendent nos invités dans le lounge. Dans l’espace petit-déjeuner, des luminaires ornés de dentelle et des photographies en noir et blanc réalisées par Edward Groeger ajoutent la touche finale. Le photographe est parvenu à retranscrire avec authenticité le quotidien des habitants de la région de Salzbourg dans ses œuvres. Vous retrouverez certains de ses clichés grand format dans votre chambre, habilement mis en valeur au-dessus de la tête de lit couleur vert chiné. Et comme vous le savez sûrement, la literie boxspring confortable, le copieux buffet du petit-déjeuner, le Wi-Fi gratuit et notre personnel sympathique font désormais partie du décor. Sans compter que le trajet jusqu’à l’établissement se fait très simplement : notre hôtel design de Salzbourg est relié à la gare par une ligne de bus. Situé au sud de Salzbourg, notre hôtel est le point de départ idéal pour aller visiter l’impressionnant château de Hellbrunn (Schloss Hellbrunn) et son parc. Les jardins du château sont une prouesse architecturale, et ses jets d’eau de la fin de la Renaissance sont connus dans le monde entier. Vous pourrez également rejoindre aisément la vieille ville, située en plein cœur de Salzbourg, grâce aux transports en commun abordables. Les principaux sites touristiques de la ville sont en effet situés à proximité de l’hôtel : la maison natale de Mozart, le château Mirabell, la forteresse de Hohensalzburg et la cathédrale Saint-Rupert de Salzbourg vous attendent.
