We had a wonderful stay in Motel One in Salzburg. The rooms were fresh and clean and we had an amazing view of the Salzach river. The breakfast was excellent and the terrace very pleasant for an evening drink.
For the price we paid for our stay, i had more expectations. The room was pretty basic and standard, everything was ok, nothing stood out. Breakfast was standard, nothing special Air conditioning worked really fine in the hot weather, so that was great. For an additional 15 euros, they had parking on premise, which was convenient
Hotel is clean. Not so far away from city center. Nice walk along the Salzach.

I stayed for one week at the property in Salzburg, which is nice but I think three improvements are needed to make for a more comfortable stay. 1. Please add complementary coffee/tea in the lobby or in the room. Many comparable budget hotels offer this. Charging 3€ for a guest to then make a small black coffee themself using the machine in the lobby is too much. As a result we went elsewhere for coffee. And yes, we understand the concept of the hotel is to keep prices low by eliminating extras, but coffee/tea in the morning is just as vital as wifi and hot water! 2. Please add ice machines for guests / self service. 3. There was always a line at the front desk, no matter what time of day or night. Some people were lining up to pay to use the coffee machine or to request some ice for the room (there was never a bartender on duty — the front desk clerk was doing everything). I suggest you organize for more staff to be on duty and/or provide guests some self-service capability such as free coffee and ice machines. Finally, reserving online was fairly easy, but it was not possible to modify the reservation online. I had to call the hotel to add an additional night. It would be great to update your online system to meet market standards.

Very nice hotel, very cozy and clean. Excellent breakfast with good variety of selection. Close to everything, next to the river. A bit outside of the main area though.
Pretty good location, nice and generous breakfast and, most importantly, the AC works well!
Clean room, nice view and friendly staff
There was a bit of hiccup at check-in but otherwise it was all good. It would have been also good to be offered a complementary water bottle (another Motel One was the same …) We loved the lounge space. Also the view from the balcony. Would have liked to have a kettle in the room.
I needed to modify my booking over email prior to arrival and the process was really smooth, the staff were super helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, our room on the 6th floor was very comfortable with great views. My only critique is the breakfast, which I found to be overpriced for what was offered. It is okay for a single day, but for multiple days it gets a bit bland.
The location is great and we loved our bedroom with the river view. Everything in the room is well designed and sheets good quality, efficient shower and nice toiletries and towels. The only disappointment was that reception were really not welcoming - avoiding eye contact and no welcome. In fact Merle would look at her computer rather than engage with staff. Édouardo was much better even though I could see busy serving drinks.

Staff are very friendly. The room was clean and I was able to check-in early. The only missing point was not having a water bottle in the room, especially with 30+ degrees outside
Great service from the reception lady , we arrived in heavy rain on motorcycles and were treated amazingly well and we even offered to be able to dry our kit, would recommend this place highly
We had a room with a balcony that had a lovely view. The room was small and cramped though...
So lovely hotel on the banks of the river, with a convenient riverside path into the old town. It's a short walk (15 minutes), straightforward from the main train station, and a 15-minute walk into the city centre. Our room was with amazing view to the river, very quite and comfortable.

All was good, but the curtains were light enough to let in diffuse light in the morning, which disturbed sleep. The curtains can either be thicker or add more layers.
The beds are very comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful.
staff mostly extremely friendly; cleaning staff seems to be understaffed and it shows in the (not) cleanliness of some areas, forgotten tasks (left the trash behind,...); breakfast very good including a vegan selection

This is our first visit to Salzburg and to your hotel, and this was such a great and pleasant experience. As an added note, we have been loyal Motel One guests during our many visits to Europe, including staying at your hotel in Barcelona, Vienna, Amsterdam and Brussels. everything was fine
Great location, friendly staff. Clean hotel. We didn't have breakfast as we thought it was expensive. The outdoor seating area was very nice, specifically as the weather was gorgeous while we were visiting so we were able to sit out with drinks. Our only complaint was that on one evening we were kept awake until the early hours by very noisy guests outside, we did mention this to the staff but they could only suggest moving us to another room, this didn't suit us as were going home the following day. I expected the hotel to have some sort of curfew but apparently not.
V relaxing, quiet hotel. Room was comfortable, and staff were friendly.

Rooms and service are excellent, only breakfast is a little poor.
This was our first stay, and we will be very happy to stay here again. Everything was well organized, pleasant, and clean, and we will recommend it to others. The staff was extremely helpful, and this made our stay extra special becasue we were from out of town.
We were allocated a room which was not make up upon checked in . Went to front desk for a new room again . 10 mins later while sitting on the bed, the ceiling light fell off onto the bed and gave us a fright. Luckily no injury. We were compensated with 2 breakfast vouchers for the unpleasant experience

Très bien situé, bien décoré et conforme a les attentes.
A little further walk to the main town area than anticipated. Construction made it a bit difficult to get to the parking.
Overall it was a good stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were also clean. The only complain I have is probably that they lack some equipment e.g. electric kettle. As we're traveling with a toddler, we always need hot water every night. The staff was very helpful and always provided this to us, but it would've been easier if we at least could borrow a kettle and bring that to our room. Also we had some leftover but we were not allowed/refused to reheat that at the hotel. It's a good hotel and location is good, but seems to be more oriented toward business/individual and not family.
The hotel is very nice and clean. The room was very basic for the price. We were on the top floor and could not even look out of the window. So overall we felt the room rate was not justified.

Très bien situé et au calme au bord de la Salzach .Chambre bien agencée avec une excellente literie. Le personnel est très sympathique et efficace. Le garage souterrain de l’hôtel est spacieux . Nous reviendrons avec plaisir .
Location is good and hotel is fairly basic but nice and clean with decent bed. Disappointed with the welcome at reception given and lack of friendliness and breakfast could be better - even a toaster so that we could have something hot - felt like we were eating in the hotel foyer as we basically were

Chambre spacieuse, hôtel bien situé, très agréable à côté de la Salzach (rivière), un peu trop bruyant en raison du trafic sur le pont. Le petit-déjeuner pourrait varier ... toujours la même chose!

Hôtel Salzbourg-Mirabell
« La vie serait triste sans musique ». La musique est à Mozart ce que le design est à Motel One, et notamment ici, à Salzbourg ! L’intérieur de notre Motel One Salzbourg-Mirabell est particulièrement marqué par le plus célèbre salzbourgeois et par ses œuvres du XVIIIe siècle. Les luminaires trompettes, les touches instrumentales et les détails de notes qui ornent notre espace lounge – qui est à la fois salon, café et bar – nous rappellent l’enfant prodige de Salzbourg et soulignent l’importance de la musique classique pour cette ville autrichienne empreinte de culture.
La musique se cache dans les détails
Entre d’accueillants fauteuils en cuir, canapés en velours et meubles en bois rustique, notre hôtel de Salzbourg se prête aisément pour qui veut revivre sa journée tout en dégustant une ou plusieurs Boules de Mozart. Ou en prenant un verre au bar. Ou confortablement installé dans sa chambre, sur notre literie boxspring, devant une télévision à écran plat. Mais ne manquez sous aucun prétexte l’installation en néons de l’espace lounge qui fait rayonner ces quelques « Rock me Amadeus » tirés de la chanson éponyme de Falco. Impossible de se passer d’une photo ! Ou même d’un selfie !
On garde le rythme ? Laissez-vous attirer par le lounge extérieur de notre hôtel design de Salzbourg qui offre une vue panoramique sur la rivière Salzach et les montagnes alentour. Car, oui, notre hôtel abordable est situé en plein cœur de Salzbourg, à un jet de pierre de la Salzach et donc de la vieille ville, à pied. La gare centrale (Hauptbahnhof) est également proche de l’hôtel. Tout comme le Salzburg Congress – si d’aventure vous atterrissiez dans cette charmante ville pour des raisons professionnelles ou pour assister à un évènement.
Salon Mozart
Notre hôtel doit son nom au jardin Mirabell situé non loin de là et au magnifique château Mirabell qui se trouve dans ce superbe parc, vivement recommandé pour une promenade agréable ! De là, vous pouvez également rejoindre en quelques minutes la maison dans laquelle Mozart a vécu. Et à un saut de puce de la Salzach – vous pouvez emprunter le pont Staatsbrücke ou la passerelle Marko-Feingold – la maison natale de Mozart, située dans la Getreidegasse.
