The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was excellent as always. The only negative thing is there was no recycling bins in the hotel.
First room I was assigned to had a too loud fan. I complained and got a new room. However, the keycard was not remapped to this new room. I was unable to reenter my room on the next day. Also no room service after the first night was given because of this. As a compensation, I got a coupon for a water bottle which felt inadequate. ACs in rooms are limited by a certain temperature but I prefer sleeping in cold rooms which was not possible. Staff seemed a bit lost and unknowing of procedures. Undertrained or underpaid. Just overall bad experience
Given the lack of air conditioning in the rooms, would be good to provide fans in each room.
Hotel was very clean, air conditioning was good. The service at the reception was excellent. But the hotel room was missing basic amenities like shampoo, water, coffee or tea. Considering these, price was high.

Good location, excellent room, good shower, very comfortable bed. Cleanliness was very good. Issue with low battery on room safe and TV remote fixed quickly. Reception staff helpful.
Overall a more than positive feedback. Nice structure, nice rooms, nice bar open 24h. Twoconstructive feedback: breakfast con be improved, the vast usage of carpets (moquette) in corridors and rooms sounds "old". In the rooms in particular is also not very hygenic. the rank I give you below on cleaniness relates to the carpet in the room

I come regularly and I'm globally satisfied by my stays. However, lately I have noticed several small glitches, such as the air conditioning that does not work or the shower head that is broken in places and is leaking. On the other hand, prices have risen significantly. So I would say that the feeling is to pay more for a product that is a little less satisfying than before.
Very good experience overall. Breakfast could give more choices. A small problem with the shower: the water pressure if the shower head was rather low.
Nice clean rooms, good storage for hanging clothes. Breakfast room was well run. Good value especially in Zurich.
Wonderful. I had a really quiet room at the back of the hotel, with none of the ambient noise from ventilation or electrics you get in most modern hotels. It was bliss to have a night's sleep without having to insert earplugs. Nice bar and good breakfast. Relatively expensive, but Zurich is not the cheapest city in Europe.

Clean room which was ready early and offered to me. Lovely buffet breakfast. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located—easy walk from three train station; few blocks from the lake; 20 minutes to the opera house. BTW, This hotel is lovely! Don’t be mislead by the word “motel”—it’s not the version found in USA!
I found that requiring your guests to be members of Motel One to qualify then to get a 'complimentary' bottle of water is insulting. What if someone for whatever reason doesn't want to be a member?
9/10 because there were bed bugs in my bed that bit me on my stomach so it is very itchy and unpleasant. Our welcome wasn't the warmest, but that's ok. Other than that, everything was superb. Breakfast service is great!
very comfortable bed, but cleaning service did non pick up dirty mugs nor trash. Room is extremely basic, should have a cattle. I wanted to extend my stay and the concierge did not match the price I had via the company booking service, so I had to do it myself. according to the booking tool breakfast was included but in fact was not and I had to pay extra. shower towel is tiny
This is my second stay at motel one in Zurich so I obviously like it. It’s a great location, clean and staff helpful. It’s a personal thing, but I like to watch tv before going to sleep and would have really liked some bbc options other than the news. Thank you 😊

It was again a really comfortable and nice stay in your hotel. The bar is amazing, location is great, the building impressive, breakfast is really tasty. I do not know what to improve.
I had one time where they didn't change my towels and also the empty cups I placed on the carpet weren't cleared from the room. The water flow in the bathtub isn't the strongest. The shampoo bottle needs to be comfortable. It's not the most comfortable to squeeze when taking a shower.
Great surprise. Super nice, clean and quiet rooms. Very kind personnel. Great value for money. Will be back.
Nice Hotel in a good location
Great hotel in a good location in Zürich. Everything here is expensive but this seemed one of the more reasonably priced hotels. Rooms do not have a kettle or fridge which we would have appreciated but on the whole we enjoyed our stay.
Sorry, but for that price I have experienced much more level of service quality. Key observations: - breakfast 5 from 10 - Room service 6 from 10 - Location 10 from 10

The hotel has a beautiful, stylish design with a very comfortable lobby area. The breakfast was excellent, the beds were comfortable, and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff across reception, breakfast service, housekeeping, and the bar were all friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, we did have one negative interaction with a member of the reception staff regarding noise. While the concern itself was completely valid, the way it was communicated came across as unnecessarily blunt. Aside from that incident, our stay was very enjoyable. There are also a few small improvements that could make the rooms even better. It would be nice to have blinds in addition to the blackout curtains, and the bathroom ventilation could be a bit stronger. One simple change that could significantly improve guests’ comfort would be to provide any kind of basic female hygiene products in the bathrooms, rather than only disposal bags. This would be especially helpful for guests arriving late when shops are closed, and could genuinely save someone’s stay. If cost is a consideration and something else would need to be reduced, sanitary products would be far more useful than the tissues or sanitary bags currently provided.
For this amoun of money, there is no water, coffee, flip flop etc in the room. These are minor things for that fee
Wonderful staff and a fantastic location!
Hotel room was comfortable, the breakfast was adequate ( although not worth the coast) and convenient. However the motel charged me a no show fee when I was making my reservation the website kicked me out, when I returned I thought my registration date was set. The website reset the date for the day I was making the reservation. So I was charged double for my one stay.
Comfortable and functional room with compact bathroom facilities. Reported the bathroom fan was not working as excessive steam built up in the small bathroom making it difficult to see without having to leave the door open. Opted to eat breakfast out due to close proximity of top rated cafes. Bar/lounge area was a little tired in areas. We used the bar service in the evenings we stayed and unfortunately the bar/waiting staff got our order incorrect each time.
Everything was great, just a couple of observations: 1) Sometimes I had to wait for someone to show up at the lounge bar (in the morning); 2) You could include a complementary bottle of water in the hotel room.

zeer net hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Uitstekend gelegen in het centrum van Zurich.
motel one Zurich is aan de buitenzijde slecht herkenbaar als een motel one vestiging. Verder is niet duidelijk dat er aan de achterkant van het gebouw d ingang bevindt tbv bezoekers die met auto komen of gehandicapt zijn of koffers hebben. . Bij de hoofdingang van motel one Zuriich is alleen een trap met 8 treden beschikbaar, onandiig om daar als gehandicapte of bezoekt met grote koffers de trap te moeten nemen. Geen enkel bordje hangt er met info over bereikbaarheid vn gebouw. Binnenzijde motel one is de lobby/zit gedeelte links niet echt passend bij de motel one styling. het lijkt daar wel en ander hotel. Begroeting en service door de aanwezige hotelmedewerker bij de balie was niet allervriendelijkst, dat viel ons meteen op. Dirigerende toon en wilde direct de namen en paspoorten zien zonder een vriendelijke begroeting, Dat hebben we gelukkig in Munchen en Wenen wel beter meegemaakt die reis. Mogelijk komt het door directe Zwitserse aard maar klantvriendelijk is het absoluut niet. Verder viel op dat bij het ontbijt de staf en manager klanten niet aanspraken op asociaal gedrag zoals het opladen van meer dan 12 chocoladebroodjes op een bord voor een tafel van 5 personen. Die bordjes verdwenen daarna voor ene groot deel in de tas van de Duitse familie. schandalig gedrag waar niets van gezegd werd evenals geproduceerde herrie vanuit iPhones van ouders om kinderen te vermalen met muziek en spelletjes tijdens het ontbijt. De kamer was echter mooi en ruim uitgevoerd. Voor ons blijft het bij dit eenmalige bezoek van motel one in Zurich.
Lokatie was top, personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam en de kamer was uitstekend. Schoon, ruim en een fijne inrichting. Dus een zeer fijn verblijf.
Het is geen 10 want het ontbijt kan nog net iets beter door het ontbijt iets te upgraden (met scrambled egg, spek, etc.). Ontbijt is vefgeleken met de rest van de entourage, bar, lounge, kamers net iets te eenvoudig.

Goedkope designhotels in Zürich - jouw Motel One
Hoewel Zürich de grootste stad van Zwitserland is en als het gaat om trends zijn spierballen laat rollen, hoef je hier geen lange afstanden af te leggen. Tenzij je uiteraard je wandelschoenen aantrekt en de stad gebruikt als vertrekpunt voor wandelingen in de omliggende natuur en de bergen. In dat geval ben je wel een tijdje zoet in Zürich. Maar ook binnen de stadsgrenzen zijn er heel wat interessante dingen te bezichtigen. Bijna voor de deur van het hotel ligt de Paradeplatz. Ondanks de centrale ligging in de buurt van ons voordelige designhotel ervaar je aan de Zürichsee de rust van de natuur. Hier is het heerlijk ontspannen op het gras, maar het is ook de ideale plek om de culinaire zijde van de stad te ontdekken in de cafeetjes en restaurants langs de zee.
Direct aan het meer, aan de kaaien, vind je ook het beroemde Opernhaus dat plaats biedt voor wel 1100 toeschouwers en een eigen balletensemble heeft met circa 50 danseressen en dansers. In Zürich is er voor elk wat wils en wij van het designhotel geven je hierover graag advies en vertellen je wat je absoluut niet mag missen. Alles? Een beetje? Iets nieuws of iets ouds?
