I stayed at this hotel for three nights while volunteering at the Commonwealth Games, specifically booking it to ensure I could get a good night's sleep between late shifts finishing at 11:30pm as arriving back on the train shortly after midnight. Unfortunately, my experience didn't justify the high price. The continental breakfast was disappointing for the additional cost, and I feel the hotel should make it much clearer during booking that a cooked breakfast (or more warm foods are not available) is not included - was advised to go to another hotel across the road for a cooked option! (I would not have paid £14.50 if I had know and would have popped to the shops for what I actually ate from the buffet each morning!) The biggest issue, however, was the lack of restful sleep. One night was disrupted by noisy guests in the early hours from both next door and above, and another by a fire alarm evacuation. While I completely understand that emergencies happen and guest safety must always come first, the evacuation left me concerned about how guests were accounted for and communicated with while waiting outside. Combined, these disruptions meant I only had around four to four-and-a-half hours' sleep on two of the three nights. What disappointed me most was the hotel's response afterwards. Although some of the issues were outside their direct control, I felt there was little recognition of the impact the disruptions had on my stay. Good customer service is often demonstrated by how problems are handled, and I was very disappointed in how it was responded to by management and just told that if I was to say again to contact them directly prior to arrival. Overall, the hotel has potential, but for the price I paid, I expected a more comfortable, restful experience and a more customer-focused response when things went wrong, like other hotels that have promises for customers and guarantees for a good night sleep!
We stayed for 5 nights during the commonwealth games. There was a significant price increase from the usual rates due to demand so my comments are predicated also on value for money. The staff were great and very professional. The room was a good size, but was on the first floor and directly opposite rooms from another hotel. The light in the room was poor and we felt the need to keep the curtains closed for privacy. Our major complaint was the aircon was set up to only blow cold air into the room and the weather was around 16-18C with cold winds. Even with the aircon switched off the room felt cold.
I love staying at your hotel, its quite,clean,central to everything and staff so helpfull.I kust wish my last stay hadn't been 300ish for one nite.I no its because the games were on in glasgow, but it will not stop me form stay with you.thank u.
Basic accommodation with comfortable bed and fairly decent shower There is a TV but there are very few channels available - certainly not full freeview menu Poor breakfast choice

A no frills hotel, but always very clean. The staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. The bar is a nice relaxing place to start or end your evening. A great location. I have stayed here several times and will do so again.
Arrived to a well light building, made away to room small but adequate. When we return that night to sleep found the room freezing and couldn't get it warm, when checking out the receptionist said it a German thing u can't change individual room only the whole building 😞
pré arrival check in worked well. Interior design used the space well. The only thing missing were hooks in the bathroom for wet towels

The room was perfect. The service was outstanding. Anything that we needed was cheerfully delivered.
Had to queue outside hotel to wait to be checked in, waited for 35mins. No apology for wait, felt an inconvenience to staff once at reception. Party of 4 given rooms away from each other Staff at bar in morning very inattentive, again felt like an inconvenience. Staff training needed in hospitality
Nice peaceful stay
Wonderful and convenient place to have Glasgow tour. Room condition was very clean and comfortable beds. But bathroom is too small and too much flooding after shower because there was no shower curtains.
I've stayed here a few times and it's always been excellent. This was my first time in a larger room, which was great to have so much space. All of the staff are so friendly, helpful and welcoming that they made my stay as enjoyable as it possibly could be. Prices were a bit elevated because of the forthcoming Commonwealth Games but that's to be expected and not unique to Motel One. The best thing about staying here? The little sweets! I wish you sold bags of them to take away!

First time at a Motel One.. Glasgow_Great hotel, location brilliant, 5mins to City Centre with Central Station 300 yards.Rooms spacious, clean, comfy beds. Staff friendly and helpful. Discount provided at the NCP car park from reception.Definitaly stay at any Motel one in the future.

. Reception staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with ice packs cushions and towels whilst my room was being prepared, after I'd had a nasty fall outside the modern art museum.

Hotel staff greeted me with smiles and friendliness. They are knowledgeable and great at their jobs. I asked for extra towels when I booked on the app and they were already in my room. The housecleaning staff are excellent making guests needs/wants delivered and are exceptionally fab keeping rooms 100% clean. I LOVE STAYING AT THIS PARTICULAR HOTEL! Cheers, Lisa Hood

The room itself was nice and clean, door handle to the bathroom was loose like it could break off tho and the lack of mini fridge or even a bin in the room was disappointing tho, overall a good night's stay.
Nice hotel in the center of Glasgow, reasonable price, good breakfast, rooms are clean, maybe a bit small, but a large, comfortable bed and convienient bathroomcompensates for this.

There was no screen up only curtains and the other rooms looked into ours.
First time staying with this hotel group and were pleasantly surprised.Room was adequate for 1 nights stay although any longer would have preferred a larger room. Must give praise to the bar staff that evening.We arrived back at the hotel and decided to have a coffee and a drink in the bar lounge. It had been a long busy day in Glasgow…and we needed to relax and wind down. The gentleman who served us was so accommodating and even asked if I wished hot milk with my coffee? In the past at other hotels I usually have to ask? Our drinks were served promptly and courteously at our table. It was a lively end to the day…thank you.
As always, staff very helpful and accommodation was clean and comfortable. I always choose Motel one when I stay in Glasgow as I know what I'm getting, nice room with good service and central to everything in Glasgow city

I was attending a conference in Glasgow and Motel One was one of the recommended hotels. I was very impressed with how friendly the staff were, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I was also impressed with the waterfall shower.

Comfortable stay , staff very helpful room small but functional and worked well. Liked the design in bar and reception/ restaurant. Breakfast very nice . One little shock ( appreciate not under your control) but in Raddisson hotel opposite , let’s just say we witnessed a woman performing an act / voyeur very openly! Not deterred by this and would stay again
Perfect location, friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast. Love the eggs with messages on! Helpful to leave my bag before the room was ready. Very comfortable bed and super shower. As some have said, the room wasn’t massive but perfectly adequate and had everything I needed

As usual the stay was excellent. Feedback for improvement is that the desk was unmanned in the morning at 0800. This meant a queue forming and staff just milling around. I had to ask twice for someone to go and find a member of staff to sort things out. Other than that my stay met my expectations.
After a long four hour trip from the west coast of Argyll being met at reception by friendly helpful staff was a breath of fresh air. The hotel is very well situated in Glasgow city centre for access to restaurants, shops and travel hubs all within easy walking distance. The house team presented a high standard of cleanliness throughout and after a long day the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Glasgow.
