Great stay as usual. Only comments, no cups/glasses in bathroom, and good towels but used to be bigger bath sheets.
A very nice environment
We received a nice welcome and were upgraded to a superior room being a Be-One member which was a nice surprise. Great view up Hope Street from our room. The room was more than adequate with plenty of room, complimentary toiletries in the bathroom which had a walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable and whole room was spotless.
The staff were helpful and friendly and the room was very clean and had aall the facilities needed for a 2 night stay.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times. It is conveniently located, always clean and the staff team are always brilliant. Check in was smooth and all interactions with the team during my stay were excellent. I had a fab room on floor 12 this time with floor to ceiling windows, lovely stuff. I have scored down a little because it was so expensive on Saturday night.

Stayed at Motel One Glasgow multiple times and each time is has been absolutely spot on. Great value for money, friendly staff and clean, modern rooms.

The receptionist was very pleasant and attentive, recommending a great restaurant for dinner. We technically received an upgrade, yet the room they gave us was so small that the bathroom door couldn't open fully because it hit the bed. Also, the bathroom light switch was located behind the door's swing path. The complimentary water was a nice touch.
After some "misunderstanding" about rooms, I was very happy with the room I ended up with. Good size. Good storage. Quiet. Staff friendly. Good breakfast.
Modern and up-to-date
The hotel was clean, the bar area was nice with drinks reasonably priced. Large rooms with big comfy beds. And perfectly located for the traim station. Ticked all boxes
Lovely hotel, centrally located and great value
1 point deducted as shower pressure was pitiful, and a door banging could be heard through the night from the corridor. However, these are minor grievances as the hotel is beautiful, room was vv clean and beautifully cool. The reception staff during check-in were friendly and apologetic as was there was a short queue. Would definitely stay again in the future.
The service was good
Stayed here many times now - Good facilities and good sleep. Only criticism is check-in between 3-5pm has big queues, takes ages. Could do with digitising and / or have a concierge between these hours who can help with luggage and non-check-in queries.
I really like the idea of the hotel, and it was my second time staying at Motel One, though not in the same place. I asked for a room with a view and on a high floor, and it was fantastic! I just wanted to point out that I only asked for a room cleaning once during my stay, and it was a bit of a letdown to find out that no coffee sachets were included, the tablespoons weren’t changed, and the cups weren’t washed. On the same day I returned to my room, I was surprised to see a handyman doing an annual check of the electricity cords. I think I should have been notified about that beforehand, just in case it happened while I was away or that I might enter when he's in my room and in general if any other person other than the housekeeper is planned to enter my room, I'd like to know that. It’s a bit different knowing that the housekeeper will come in than a maintenance person, in my opinion. He mentioned he knocked before entering, and I believe him, but it was still surprising to see him in my room when I came in, about a minute after he said he had. Other than that, I've had a really good time in Glasgow and I enjoyed the hotel and its location. Until next time... Liat Y
Amazing room and clean hotel
Took far too long to check in - when there’s a queue of 4/5 people, one of the two members of staff on reception shouldn’t wander off. Room simply wasn’t value for money; a bedside table should not actually be a safe box.
Second time at a Motel 1, this time in Glasgow. Was given a wrong key by mistake( room was still occupied) and then given a larger room which was lovely. Very comfortable bed, nice interior, window that can open!!..I would definitely stay at a Motel1 again.

Great value and great location
First of all, we liked that the hotel is new, modern, spotless, and conveniently located near major shops. However, its location right next to the station bridge, where there are many homeless people, was not particularly pleasant and made the area feel somewhat unsafe, especially knowing that the hotel doors are locked after 10:00 PM. The rooms were nice, although a little small, and the building itself was extremely clean. Unfortunately, our experience at check-in was very disappointing and caused considerable frustration during our stay. When booking, we requested connecting rooms. As none were available, we were told we could have rooms on the same floor, either adjoining or very close to each other. We were traveling with our two children—an 18-year-old and a 14-year-old with Down syndrome—so having the rooms close together was particularly important to us for safety and peace of mind. We arrived early, left our luggage in storage, and reiterated the importance of this request. When we returned to check in, a very friendly young woman assisted us and explained that she had assigned us rooms 3.03 and 3.05, which she said were right next to each other. We were grateful. However, when we went upstairs, we discovered that one room was in one hallway, while the other was through a set of doors at the far end of a different hallway. We returned to reception, understandably upset and confused, as this was not what we had been told. We were informed that there were no other rooms available on that floor. However, when we went back upstairs, we saw that room 3.02—directly across from our children’s room—was open, empty, and being cleaned (photo attached). We also confirmed with the person cleaning the room that it was vacant. My husband went back downstairs to ask if we could be moved to room 3.02. Not only was our request refused, but when he expressed his frustration and pointed out that the situation resulted from the hotel’s handling of our request, a staff member wearing glasses at reception shouted that it was not her fault. She then pointed toward the door and told us that if we did not like it, we could leave. We travel frequently as a family and have never experienced this kind of treatment at a hotel. We are not people who look for arguments or confrontation, so we were genuinely shocked by this response. Rather than allowing the situation to ruin the two days we had in the city, we decided to leave the matter there and go sightseeing. In retrospect, perhaps we should have asked to speak to a supervisor immediately, but we did not want to spend our first day arguing at the hotel. Nevertheless, the incident undoubtedly cast a negative shadow over our stay. In addition to being a frequent traveler, I am a lawyer by profession and spent 10 years working for a Spanish five-star hotel chain. We always believed that when a guest has a problem or is dissatisfied, the best time to raise the issue is during their stay, giving the hotel an opportunity to resolve it, rather than waiting until check-out or posting a review afterward. That is exactly what we tried to do. We went to reception twice, explained the situation, and gave the hotel the opportunity to rectify it. Unfortunately, the outcome was quite the opposite. Bij boeking werd er toegezegd om het bed in de kamer in twee duvet op te maken. Bij aankomst niet gebeurd Na drie keer vragen stond er een plastic zak met een extra gekreukt dekbed op de kamer zodat we het zelf konden doen Het ontbijt was vreselijk het hele buffet was leeg!! Geen eieren geen melk geen vleeswaren We zijn buiten de deur gaan ontbijten twee ochtenden Ik zou het hotel niet snel aan iemand aanraden

Prima hotel. Ontbijt was ok, maar véél te druk. Mensen die in de weg stonden bij het buffet en zeer weinig zitplaatsen. Men zou beter de bar en lobby ook inrichten om te gebruiken als ontbijtruimte. Dan moet waarschijnlijk de receptie verplaatst worden.

Hotel ligt mooi centraal met parkeergelegenheid om de hoek. Vriendelijk en gastvrij personeel en een heel goed ontbijt.

- centraal (je loopt zo het centrum in + metro, trein en de stops voor bus 500 vh vliegveld zijn heel erg vlakbij) - goede bedden - rustig - vriendelijk personeel - prima ontbijt - schoon Ik vroeg om een rustige kamer en dat was helemaal top geregeld. Op dat moment (begin jan.) was het rustig qua gasten in het hotel, maar voor mij heel fijn!
Altijd een goed hotel om te verblijven. Modern, schoon, goed ontbijt en mooi centraal gelegen in Glasgow.
Het ontbijt en de kamer zijn tamelijk basic maar voldoende met een goed bed. De locatie is uitstekend en het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Een mooie bar en lounge. We hebben genoten ons verblijf.
Kreeg een kleinere kamer dan geboekt, de temperatuur in de kamer was tropisch zonder aangepast te kunnen worden en de lounge is helemaal geen aangename plek om rustig te zitten. Daarnaast is het ontbijt matig en relatief duur.
Niet achoon, overal stof en er liepen diverse honden in het hotel. Vuil bestek in de bestekbak bij het schone bestek en de kamers werden om de dag schoongemaakt dat geldt ook voor schone handdoeken en toiletpapier.
Fantastische locatie, je loopt zo het centrum in. De kamer was heerlijk rustig, ondanks dat je dichtbij het treinstation zit. Fijne, moderne badkamer met goede verlichting. Behulpzaam personeel bij de receptie.

Wie aan Glasgow denkt, denkt automatisch ook aan de muziek- en kunstscène. Als centrum voor de alternatieve muziek heeft de stad vele internationaal bekende artiesten, zoals Amy McDonald, Snow Patrol en Franz Ferdinand, voortgebracht. En daarnaast zijn er ook heel wat muziek- en kunstgalerieën te bezichtigen. Het is dan ook niet voor niets dat Glasgow de titel 'Culturele hoofdstad van Schotland' krijgt.
Ook wie houdt van geschiedenis en architectuur is hier op zijn plaats: niet ver van het hotel ligt namelijk de George Square met zijn vele standbeelden van bekende Schotten zoals James Watt en Robert Burns. Glasgow Tower, River Clyde en Gallery of Modern Art
De Glasgow Tower, die duidelijk boven de stad uitsteekt, vind je aan de zuidelijke oever van de Clyde River. Met een hoogte van 127 m is deze toren het hoogste gebouw van Schotland. De Glasgow Tower kan in zijn geheel 360° draaien, wat in combinatie met het vleugeldesign wordt beschouwd als een echt meesterwerk op ingenieurstechnisch en bouwkundig vlak.
Aan de voet van de Glasgow Tower en niet zo ver van ons voordelige hotel loopt de Clyde River. Deze rivier is vooral 's nachts heel mooi op foto, want dan zijn de bruggen sfeervol verlicht.
Wie houdt van hedendaagse kunst, moet absoluut de Gallery of Modern Art bezoeken. Hier worden moderne werken permanent of tijdelijk opengesteld voor het publiek in telkens wisselende thematentoonstellingen. In tegenstelling tot andere musea hangen in de Gallery of Modern Art vooral kunstwerken van nog levende kunstenaars.
