Stylish ground Llorenc reception and bar . Rooms very disappointing for the price . We were staying for 6 nights , and lterally nowhere to put clothes , or hang shirts . Extremely small room , and very noisy with the window open . We had to shut the window at night , as it was impossible to sleep with traffic noise . Hotel okay for a 1 night stay , but would not recommend for any longer stay
Nice design, very friendly staff, good breakfast and nice lounge. Unfortunately one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed. The bathroom ventilation system runs continuously at a frequency that makes you feel like someone is using a hair dryer or that you live next to an airport. With open windows, the noise is bearable, but since it is located on a busy street, you cannot sleep with the window open because of constant police and ambulance sirens.
Staff is so friendly and helpful!! Definitely recommend this hotel. Walking distance to train station and shopping/restaurant areas.
This Hotel was so welcoming and comfortable. The lounge area was awesome, for a quiet time in the morning, breakfast was outstanding, the staff was the best I have ever experienced.
We enjoyed the excellent staff. The design of the hotel is nice. The breakfast is rich and tasty. The rooms are a bit small with space only for one armchair, and without a desk. The bed was very comfortable. We did not like the music in the lobby, both during breakfast and in the afternoon and we would suggest to put calmer and more harmonious music.
We love Motel Ones and this is a particularly good one. Very friendly staff; great breakfasts in a very chic lounge area; comfy beds; and excellent location. It is walkable from downtown Amsterdam but also has a metro station (Waterlooplein) just nearby and a very handy supermarket. This was our second visit and will be our go-to place whenever we visit Amsterdam.
Really enjoyed my stay in your hotel.room very comfortable staff very polite and friendly . Buffet breakfast very good .overall everything was great .very central . Would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.
We loved the room, but I'm not sure the air conditioning was working correctly. It was very warm during the daytime. We opened the window to regulate the temp. Also could smell cigarette smoke especially in the bathroom at night (we had a non-smoking room). It might have come from the vent system. Location was fabulous and the staff was very nice and friendly.
Staff is extremely kind and always smiling. The room is particularly clean. Beds are really comfortable and breakfast is absolutely wonderful.
the room and the service staff was great, the breakfast space was a bit too small. the room could do with another dustbin and maybe a fridge. the breakfast could include scrambled or fried eggs.

This was very conveniently located, and very comfortable. I appreciated the aesthetics of the place, and we enjoyed having a nightcap at the bar on several locations. We would totally stay again.

The place was excellent, the strategic position of the hotel was great but the most important the hotel staff was amazing! Especially Alba who took care pf all our necessities as we were part pf her family! Really appreciated and highly recommend!
I stayed two nights at Motel One Amsterdam – Waterlooplein, my ninth Motel One so far. The welcome at reception was friendly, the location excellent, and the rooms were spotless, comfortable, and had great beds. It was the smallest Motel One I’ve stayed at, but the breakfast was by far the best – varied, fresh, and delicious! The hotel bar, however, was less impressive. It’s small, connected to the reception, and lacked the usual cozy Motel One atmosphere. At 11:30 pm, guests were told the bar was closing, even though I had read it would remain open until 1:00 am. This might have been due to staffing issues. The bartender that evening, who apparently came over from Motel One Brussels, struck me as rather arrogant and later the next morning he was having breakfast as a guest. I also noticed several staff members working without a Motel One uniform, which felt unprofessional and confusing. One evening, someone sat casually at the reception desk in regular sporty clothes as if he was just another guest. At the bar, the wine list did not reflect reality: when I ordered a listed wine, the bartender had never heard of it and said only two white wines were available (a Sauvignon Blanc and a Chardonnay, the first of which wasn’t even on the menu). Despite these oddities, most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and overall, I enjoyed my stay. I would still recommend this hotel, but compared to the other eight Motel Ones I’ve visited, I felt the professionalism and consistency of the bar staff in particular could use some improvement.
This Hotel really saved our trip. We originally booked a different hotel and couldn't stay there due to the conditions of the rooms. We got so lucky with this hotel. The staff were so nice, check in was quick. The room was super clean, with a shower and hair dryer. The TV faced the bed, perfect for when you're chilling in the evening and want to relax It's located in the perfect spot in my opinion, 15 minute walk from city centre, with restaurants just down the street. The zoo is also a 10 minute walk away. The place was spotless, I couldn't hear guests in the other room, the bed was super comfortable and location was perfect. Definitely worth the price in my opinion
Fabulous hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. My room was modern and very clean and breakfast choice was perfect. If I am ever travelling to Amsterdam again it would be my first choice,
another amazing stay with Motel one, room immaculate, staff friendly and professional at all times, just what you need for a city break , the cleaners were lovely and friendly too. If I had one picky thing it would be to advise guests that they are in a room overlooking the main road, as it can be quite noisy. I can imagine some would not find this great, we didn't mind but if you let people know you cover your bases. location great everything is 10-15 minutes from the main area. just brilliant. thank you for a lovely stay
My experience with the hotel was excellent, it is very clean and comfortable with friendly staff, i would highly recommend it.

Seamless and quick check-in. Early check in was available for our group which was great after long flight. Staff was great, always friendly and willing to assist. Nice selection for breakfast
Really great staff. Really kind, informative and helpful. Good location. Can walk to most popular areas easily -10-25minutes. Decent value for money but very basic rooms so have realistic expectations.

Good location and ambiance. Room was fine, we were happy to be on the backside of the building with no traffic noise. Breakfast was fine as well with good selection. Friendly service at the reception. Only suggestion for improvement: the bathroom fan was on permanently and a bit disturbing during the night.

Staff were extremely helpful, rooms reasonably priced & hotel within walking distance of most attractions that a tourist would want to visit.
Good value. Good staff. Nice quiet location. Comfortable bed. Nicely appointed bathroom. Room would benefit provision of tea/coffee making facility and/or fridge. Room felt well designed but not luxurious. Excellent ambience and service in the bar. A wider range of bar snacks, draft beers, and some healthy options (salad? fruit?) would be a good extra offer. I would spend more time and money in the bar if the food offer was a little stronger. Breakfast very good, the only thing missing was a wider range of cooked egg choices at breakfast would be a nice extra (poached, scrambled, etc).

Beautiful hotel, location is perfect to access the centre, staff very friendly, large section of Gins at the bar and delicious breakfast with lots of choice. Only reason for a 9 is the windows open from the top and not lot let alot of air flow into the room.
Excellent stay! Then again I did not expect anything less from Motel One. Always the most convenient location, clean and cozy rooms, and the best staff. I truly enjoyed my stay and I am looking forward to the send leg of my trip.

The hotel is really good, with a good location close to many things. My only complain is that the bottle of water that you receive is the smallest bottle from all the other Motel One that I had stayed, and when you consider that is water for 2 people, it is not enough
The location was far enough away from the hub-bub to be quite, with only a 20 minute walk into the very noisy city centre. The staff were lovely, the room and bathroom were large and clean. Breakfast was busy but very nice.
Lovely clean hotel, fantastic friendly informative staff and great location
This hotel has a decent breakfast, adequate rooms, and is in a good location. The staff were friendly and the bar is open until 12. The only warm food item for breakfast was hard boiled eggs. The room was adequate and the cleaning staff did a great job, but the room has no fridge, closet, or place to put your luggage. These aren’t huge issues, just making others aware. The bed was comfortable and we easily got around on foot or by tram and would stay here again.
