Overall it was a good stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were also clean. The only complain I have is probably that they lack some equipment e.g. electric kettle. As we're traveling with a toddler, we always need hot water every night. The staff was very helpful and always provided this to us, but it would've been easier if we at least could borrow a kettle and bring that to our room. Also we had some leftover but we were not allowed/refused to reheat that at the hotel. It's a good hotel and location is good, but seems to be more oriented toward business/individual and not family.
The hotel is very nice and clean. The room was very basic for the price. We were on the top floor and could not even look out of the window. So overall we felt the room rate was not justified.

Disappointed with the welcome at reception given and lack of friendliness and breakfast could be better - even a toaster so that we could have something hot - felt like we were eating in the hotel foyer as we basically were

Fabulous place to stay! Close to everything, parking in the back, great views of the river, and comfy beds! Great lounge area too! Love the Motel One chain.
Room was clean, but shower looked dirty or worn out on bottom. No bag in garbage can also made me question cleanliness. Breakfast was not worth it.
Convenient for railway station & the city. Pleasant walk along the river. Everyone was very friendly & courteous. Comfortable room, great nights sleep. Plenty to eat at breakfast. We enjoyed our stay
It was easy to find from the train station. The location was perfect in a walkable city. We had a beautiful river view. The facility was clean and we had everything we needed for the 2 nights we were there. Thank you for your hospitality.

De kamer is zeer klein, maar de prijs zeer hoog. Er is amper ruimte voor je koffer, of een nette manier om je jas op te hangen. Het verlichtingssysteem was erg verwarrend, en het kostte me verschillende pogingen om de verlichting uit te krijgen. Verder was alles netjes en schoon, goed onderhouden, dat was geen probleem.
We enjoyed our time at Motel One. Great friendly service and clean rooms we have come to expect. You did not disappoint me. Well done.

Friendly staff, great breakfast and clean rooms. Location is also a plus as you can walk by the river to and from city center.

Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. Check-in clerk was not very knowledgeable , perhaps she was new but would have appreciated someone who could have provided some options when I asked about going into the old town. My husband and I walked but were too tired to walk back.
Awful experience this year! Rude employees starting with Natasha from Reception. Even if I'm a Motel One member from the beginning, I received the 2 most ugly rooms in the whole of this dark and unfriendly property -I'm sure it was a genuine discrimination after she called for my passport. Everything is dark in the lobby and in the room as well, electricity economy everywhere, but what it shocks is mainly the rude attitude and the arrogance. I was telling this lady that I'm coming from Motel One Basel where everything was perfect and I'm on holiday with my family, so I beg her to change my creepy rooms. "Ok, we'll try, nothing is sure, but only tomorrow and only if you come with all your luggage here in Reception, BEFORE the breakfast!" Say what? At 6 o'clock with 2 kids in the lobby? Why not move everything in the new room directly? Why this circus? To let it go, of course. These guys are completely crazy! Then, I told her that I had parked the car on lot 4, available, near the entrance, but I was forced to move the car to another one because "is busy". No way! It was available during the entire stay of 3 nights! Why this? I suspect another discrimination here too. Breakfast is monotone and you have to hurry up for a place at the table, otherwise you'll eat "modernly", on sofas, in a sitting-on-toilet position. And you'll drink your long Americano in darkness, because they have never heard about short coffee in small cups. Inexistent! So Ristretto fans, stay away! The fruits and the tomatoes were uneatable for 3 days until I told the boss that this is not the Motel One standard of quality. And what did he say? "The fruits and vegetables are from our supplier, it is his fault" :))) And then he completely changed the bowls with, guess what?, completely fresh and impeccable tomatoes and fruits... What a stingy and miserly team! So a very bad experience this year after a nice and pleasant holiday last summer. A total change: Christmas-like music at breakfast, no light at all, lamps down to break your head, a noir atmosphere with dark people. And the price? Like in Basel, but the difference is hell-heaven like. Never come back for sure! Totally disgusted by Motel One Salzburg-Mirabell.

Nice rooms, friendly staff, very good location
Overall we had a great experience. We did have to ask for everything like a city pass for transport that we read about we were supposed to be offered by paying city tax. Also I sent an email to hotel asking if they found a travel book That I may have left but no one has responded. I am wondering if I can get a response and if anyone found my travel book. Thank you. A little more expansive than the other Motel One's I have stayed in. Good location though not too far from the inner city. Enjoyed the walk along the river that led to it.
Had a lovely stay in a balcony room, which was huge with a really comfortable bed. Free litre bottle of water. Smooth check in. Breakfast had a good choice. Bar prices were very reasonable and there was great service on the riverfront terrace. Easy walking distance from the railway station.

Good location (not far from the train station, not far to the city centre). My room was pretty big for Motel One with a nice view on the river. Breakfast was good as always.
Gret location very close to the central station. Wonderful views of the Salzach river. Very spacious and clean room. Friendly staff who let me check in early and leave my bags on departure day.
This hotel was excellent and in a very good area. It was close to Maribel, Gardens, and Palace, not far from the train station, and still walkable to old town. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly.

The hotel was well situated and the staff very friendly. Everything was well explained such as entry to the parking. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a great stay there.

The room was very nice, the AC worked well. The staff were all friendly, the breakfast was great. The front deck is a very nice place to eat breakfast. The only thing I would change is add coffee machines/water cooker to the room, and maybe have some info on public transit into town available.
Great location in the city so very easy to navigate around. Great views of the river from outside as I was on the top floor so only had skylight windows do a view could only be seen if I was stood on a chair. Very spacious and clean room. I would’ve like more amenities like a coffee machine perhaps? One of the members of staff on reception was a little bit blunt/short with me which did put me off a little and I had trouble getting in to my room on my second night which she didn’t seem to happy to sort. Breakfast options were okay but I have had better in other motel ones.
Staff were really friendly and helpful, hotel and rooms were gorgeous! Less than a ten min walk to the train station and just on the river. Had a great time and would definitely return.

Beautiful hotel with excellent view and patio. Best choice for city trip to Salzburg
Staff were lovely and we had a great stay here in Salzburg. Really enjoyed the pastries for breakfast. Room was spacious and modern. The only issue we had was our room smelled like food from the previous visitors, we didn’t manage to get this food smell out despite having the windows open for 3 days. This was probably just unlucky but it did affect our stay.
As always a great stay for a night. Clean rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. Located overlooking the river Salzach with views over to the old town if you request a riverside room. Short 15 minute walk to the old town.
tolles Hotel super gelegen
Comfortabele kamer, mooi uitzicht op de rivier en Salzburg.
Een prima hotel op loopafstand van de stad. Klein terras buiten. Ontbijt is goed maar relatief duur ( niets warms). Meeste personeel is vriendelijk en aardig.
Loungestoelen en tafels niet geschikt voor ontbijten.We hebben er een zeer prettig verblijf gehad.👍

Rock me Amadeus
“Zonder muziek is er niets”. Wat voor Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart muziek was, is voor ons design: vooral hier, middenin Salzburg! In onze Motel One Salzburg-Mirabell zijn de beroemdste inwoner van de stad en zijn werk uit de 18e eeuw bepalend voor het interieur. In onze lounge - die tegelijkertijd woonkamer, koffiehuis en bar is - vormen trompetlampen, instrumentaccenten en muzieknoten een eerbetoon aan het Salzburgse wonderkind en laten duidelijk zien dat klassieke muziek in de Oostenrijkse cultuurstad centraal staat.

Tussen uitnodigende leren fauteuils, fluwelen banken en rustieke houten meubels kunt u de dag de revue laten passeren onder het genot van één of meer chocolade-‘Mozartkugeln’ in ons hotel in Salzburg. Of misschien met een drankje aan de bar? Of liever in een knus boxspringbed kijkend naar een flatscreen-tv op uw kamer? Wat u ook wilt, als bijzonder hoogtepunt moet u eigenlijk de neoninstallatie in de lounge eens bekijken. De muziektekst "Rock me Amadeus" uit het gelijknamige Falco-lied straalt hier in volle glorie. Geweldig om te fotograferen! Er kunnen, moeten, hier gewoon selfies worden genomen!
Dat heeft wel een toegift verdiend! En buiten wacht ons designhotel in Salzburg met een stijlvolle outdoorlounge en een prachtig panorama over de Salzach en de omliggende bergen. Want het voordelige hotel in het centrum van Salzburg ligt echt direct, namelijk op een steenworp afstand, aan de Salzach en op loopafstand van de oude binnenstad. En ook het Centraal Station ligt niet ver weg. Bovendien is het nabijgelegen congres van Salzburg praktisch als u deze charmante stad voor zaken of voor een evenement bezoekt.
Mozart’s woonkamer
De naam van ons hotel is overigens afgeleid van de nabijgelegen Mirabell-tuin en het prachtige kasteel Mirabell dat middenin dit prachtig aangelegde park staat. Dit is echt een aanrader voor een heerlijke wandeling! Vanaf hier bent u in een paar minuten bij het oude woonhuis van Mozart. En de geboorteplek van Mozart in de Getreidegasse ligt aan de andere kant van de Salzach, die u heel eenvoudig via de Staatsbrücke of de Marko-Feingold-Steg kunt bereiken. Bij ons verblijft u met veel Mozart-flair dicht bij het Mozart-middelpunt. Bezoek ons in ons voordelige designhotel Salzburg-Mirabell, want: “Zonder design is er niets”.
