Very convenient place My second visit but I have booked more for later in the year. Good breakfast, excellent staff.
Nice hotel conveniently next to station. Very quiet internally despite active location.
Bed had dirty marks on the blanket and bathroom and dirty marks all round
Very happy as it was clean, close to the station, good value and Reception were happy to receive a parcel for me.
The size of the room definitely was what detracted from our experience the most. We had to move the tables quite a bit when we arrived just to have enough space to open our suitcases on the floor. It was hard to move around each other in the room at times. And we couldn’t prop the bathroom door open all the way to dry our clothes without not being able to open the room door. It felt a bit tight overall which made our stay less relaxing.
Sadly, we tried to heat our bedroom control but without success.
Fantastic hotel, great location, staff were very friendly. Room was lovely.
First room allocated the card electric system was loose on the wall however once reception was informed our room was changed as no maintenance available
I was very pleased with my stay at Motel One for a work event. The room was clean, well laid out and warm.
Change or more towels
Comfy bed, clean room and friendly staff
Complementary stay due to previous stay excellent in comparison
Property was lovley. Room was not what was offered but I had no complaints.
Amazing staff
ROOM 505. Arrived to check in 3.10pm,waited in queue 15 minutes to be served.Thermostat in room inoperable so room was cold(overnight outside temperature 4 Deg c).Advised staff when checking out. Plug in wash hand basin could not seal,so unable to fill to wash. On line check- in asked too many questions compared to other hotels, taking too much time.
very welcoming, everything in order and as expected
great service and friendly staff. love my stay at this hotel all the time.
Nice and comfortable stay. Location is right next door to everything. Shopping mall and Glasgow central station. Rooms very clean, bed was more than comfortable. I had a good sleep
Really good. Was only a quick overnight stay but appreciated room ready at 1330 rather than having to wait until 1500 (as I was expecting/prepared for)
Fantastic stay. Room very clean, very central. We will be back.
Comfortable room - very courteous stay. Thank you
Excellent. Central location. . Friendly. Clean. Provided everything I needed for a 2 night leisure stay in new city
Really enjoyed our stay at this great hotel. Spacious and quiet room. Loved the location and the friendly and helpful staff.
Super Hotel, lovely fresh, comfortable rooms with all the hotel facilities needed A1 !
Spotless excellent service
All was good, my only gripe was that as a member you used to get a bottle of water for the room . This time no perks.
It was all perfect!
This is our 4th stay at the Glasgow hotel. I can’t fault the rooms or the very attentive staff. Thank you for another lovely stay.
A friendly, accommodating team! Fantastic location right next to the central station. Also just a 30 mins walk to/from Ovo Hydro so perfect for events. Clean, comfortable room.
Quick and easy check-in. Clean room. Friendly staff.
Fantastic hotel value, good location, clean
Good hotel. Great location for the train and the Glasgow office, although slightly noisy in the evenings.
Always great stay
I didn't stay here, please delete my email address
Most staff were efficient. I had an issue with the shower pole pulling out of it's wall fixing when I tried to move the shower head down the pole as for me at 5foot 2 inches was way too high. when I mentioned this to staff on check out an apology for the inconvenience it caused me would have been nice as opposed to the brusque 'well will get that sorted' response. I'm a 70 year old grandma not given to trying to wreck rooms simply altering something that should be easy to alter without things falling apart.
First class location first class hotel will be using this hotel in the future for sure
Unbearably hot in rooms. No way of controlling temperature. Unbearably noisy with windows open - Road Works surrounding hotel. Window Cleaners looking directly into rooms - no notice given!
efficient check in. Well designed hotel, brilliant staff
Quite Noisy facing the Main Street, roadworks. A/C didn’t work and room was hot couldn’t open windows due to the noise 😩
Fabulous hotel in the Herat of the city. Beautiful hotel and a fab price! First time here but won’t be the last. Highly recommend.
Comfy hotel in a great location. Rooms and bathroom very small but good value for the location. A hot breakfast option at the buffet would have been nice
On this occasion the price was more in line with what I'd expect to pay and I was pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade which made my stay more special. The staff as always where helpful and friendly.
Had a lovely stay, staff very friendly, comfy bed. Will use again.
The hotel was great. The service was fantastic from both the reception team and the bar staff too. Would definitely recommend to others.
Friendly staff, lovely clean room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Excellent location.
The staff are very friendly, although having no internet on the tv was disappointing as stated by booking.com there was the use of Netflix and prime on the tvs which helped pick this location for the stay, also not being able to adjust heating or temperature in the room made it very uncomfortable at times.. other than that the rooms are really amazing and affordable
Very conveniently located, very quiet and with excellent modern decor. A most enjoyable stay and thoroughly recommended.
Stayed for 1 night great stay and value for money
Great hotel for the price. Premium room
Kettle, because of two-pronged plug, could only be plugged in on bedside locker. Not ideal spot for kettle of boiling water. Bedside light, independent of lighting system in room, would be helpful. Fridge would be very helpful in room. TV needs updating! Overall was very happy with my stay.

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!

Art with heart
The art at the Motel One in Glasgow takes you on a journey through the Scottish Highlands. The photography from artist duo Scullion and Dalziel captures details and impressions of romantic, rugged nature from unusual perspectives.
Hotel Glasgow
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
