+ Friendly and knowledgeable Dublin staff (Kelyane) as per previous experience in Frankfurt and London. - NO USB A PORTS AT POWER SOCKETS, other hotels and your competitors do provide these as standard in rooms (Had to go out and buy yet another adapter!) - TV restarted every 30 or so minutes, very annoying! - Little communication on status during the Fire alarm when we all stood outside at 2am and waited for either updates or information! - Much higher accommodation price in comparison to other Dublin hotels used during same trip!
There was a fire alarm at 01:30. We followed the signs ‘stairs’ but there were signs missing so we couldn’t find the stairs. We had to go back to the elevator area toonloos at the VERY SMALL picture of the escape routes. When arriving at groundfloor there was NOBODY FROM THE EMPLOYEES guiding the guests. There were two employees who had NO GLUE AT ALL what to do. They were walking around like chickens without a head and wondering how to shut down the alarm. In meanwhile the firefighters arrived after 25 minutes. Likely there was no fire but if there was, we would have been in BIG TROUBLE and I wouldn’t be surprised to see injured people or even worse!! THIS WAS A VERY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE!!!!
Great hotel except when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Staff couldn't get it turned off and finally the fire department came.
Counter staff when checking in wasn't that friendly bar staff was friendly... rooms small then fire alarm goes off at 2am whole hotel out on the streets for an hour then back to rooms after 3 couldn't sleep for few hours later. Nothing said next morning from staff after checkout .
Rooms are small
Overall very good experience l, but given the price I was expecting a bit more attentions
This hotel is in a perfect location for getting around the city center. We were able to walk to almost every attraction we needed within 15 minutes. Check in was a breeze - we walked right up to the front desk and were immediately given a room hours prior to check-in so that was great! We had a room on the 5th floor all the way at the back of the hotel with a view of a brick wall. The windows in Europe open oddly but we were able to get some breeze. Our thermostat didn't work so sometimes it was uncomfortably hot and others it was uncomfortably cold. The rooms are very very small for US standards but pretty average for European standards. We had a flatscreen TV that didn't work, but thankfully we brought our Firestick. The bed was fairly comfortable and the pillows actually had some substance to them so we slept fairly well. The bathroom was a decent size, though it's a bit gratuitous calling the shower a rainfall shower. The water got to just above luke-warm so showers were not all that comfortable. They provide you with a combination shampoo body wash so make sure to bring your own toiletries. There is also hand soap, but no conditioner or lotion. We did not purchase breakfast at the hotel so I can't attest to that. I did appreciate the evening security where you can't enter the hotel without your keycard after 10pm. I would probably not stay here again as the price is comparable to better hotels in the area, but this was great for booking literally 20 minutes before arrival.
Excellent hotel! Very central, super clean and lovely staff. Will stay again 👌
Great location, clean rooms, helpful team
We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, the lobby and bar area looked lovely and modern. Beds were comfy and our room was generally clean and modern, only downside our shower was very weak and the towels in the bathroom could do with replacing as were very rough. The location of this hotel is perfect and close to everything you need.
Location, location, location. Convenient and walking distance to everything. If you hate walking public transportation is super accessible.
Location staff rooms all excellent
very friendly crew, great room and delicious breakfast
Clean rooms and accomodating crew specially Stacy.
Good location. Friendly staff. Small clean room. Cheap all-in-one shower liquid that dries the skin. Not a nice view from the window. TV and WiFi didn’t work. This was our second time at this hotel (twice in one year) and it cost more this time and the experience wasn’t as good.
The room was modern and comfortable, if small. The main issue we had was the way the climate control worked (or didn't work) in the room. It was very difficult to get the room to a comfortable temperature for sleeping. If you are going to offer guests in room climate control, guests should truly be able to control the temperature without preset limits and automatic switch off. Beyond this, there were certainly issues with airflow in the room, as the air blowing out of the vent was cool, but the room never cooled off.
Very nice and central location. The rooms could be a little bigger
Lovely clean hotel with a great location and comfy beds and friendly staff.
Satisfactory stay . 2nd time . Only issue would be the TV in the rooms. No smart tv and tv stations available were cutting in and out . Only 5 English channels and the rest in German. Wouldn't recommend it to colleagues due to that fact alone . Otherwise very satisfactory
Excellent hotel with a great location. All staff were friendly and efficient Hotel was clean and the bar area was great. The staff could not have been more helpful.
The hotel was in a fantastic location in Dublin. Our room was clean. However, little details matter. There were no bathroom amenities, no wastebasket under the desk and there was a hair dryer but u couldn't use it in the bathroom because of plug. The most annoying was that the tv turned off every 15 minutes for the whole 4 day stay. Was told at the desk that it was a satellite problem. At the bar not knowledgeable about drinks. Not 4 star environment.
Great central location.
The location of the hotel was excellent! However, the room was rather small and I had a problem with the sound of the plumbing and for the first two nights the air conditioning was not working.
We stayed for three nights last week. Dublin was unseasonably warm and our AC worked only sporadically. We were told that maintenance would repair it. This never happened. Additionally, the TV functioned in spurts--shutting off every 15 minutes. We were told this was a known issue and was being worked on. It was never resolved. Our room was small--which we knew but for more than 3 nights it wouldn't have been comfortable enough for us.
Convenient location, spotless, so so comfortable! You genuinely will not find better in this area.
The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful as we oriented ourselves to a new city and country. For example, they made helpful suggestions to guide me to a nearby shop to purchase an EU/USA adapter for plugging in appliances and equipment. The hotel was immaculate and the room, while small, was quite comfortable.
I spent two nights at Motel One in Dublin, and it was a lovely experience.
Honestly I would have rated you a 10 but for the failure to handle an improperly working air conditioner makes me lower my score. Room 314 in your Dublin hotel has a barely functional AC system. Despite moderate temps in Dublin when I was visiting my room would reach 26 degrees centigrade when it was sunny out. And the room NEVER got cooler than 24 degrees even in the middle of the night. My father's room down the hall was fine. On Sunday May 18th in the evening I went down to the front desk twice to ask to move rooms. The woman on duty gave me a BS answer about checking downstairs on the status of the HVAC but refused to allow me to move rooms. I gave up at 11 PM when the room was cool enough and due to the fact the next two days were going to be overcast and so I knew the rooms would be cooler without the afternoon sunshine. Stuff happens and it is how the hotel handles it that separates the good from the bad. Your staff member handled it poorly.
Friendly staff and comfortable stay thanks
Hotel was in a great location. And nice decor . Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was your standard hotel room in Dublin . Our air conditioning was not working in the room and the room was very hot . I had to use my own phone to call the hotel as there was no phone in the room. We called at 12.30 and was told someone would be up. Waited and waited till we fell asleep but as the room was so hot we didn’t sleep week and decided to get up and check out about 6am. When I mentioned it to the staff on check out. They told me that someone would look at it that day . I explained about the call last night and how we waited for someone only to be told the maintain person was off last night . That was not communicated to us . We were very disappointed and very tired
I think it is a very good hotel. I question why you only get water for the room on the first day. Even though you pay the same for any additional nights it doesn’t include water. Don’t understand that.
Really great location with responsive staff. However, our friend had to request a room change due to outside noise. His new room was quiet.
Hi, FIrst room had a defective AC. The next morning we advise from desk who said they would get it check. When we came back, it was clear that it was not checked. We advise again front desk, which said they would verify. When we came back from dinner, not sure convince they checked but they changed us room. We were also told that parking would be around 10 euros. It was 39 euros. Hotel should negotiate a special rate with a partner. Location is great. I like the chain but I have unlucky with rooms and service..
A brilliant hotel right in the center of Dublin.
Very clean and very accommodating staff. Easy check in, baggage check was very helpful and greatly enjoyed the 24 hour bar since our check-in times were variable.
Excellent stay! Good value, staff very helpful, very clean and modern room and great location.
Beautiful hotel. Fantastic location. Lovely staff.
Ok
room was never cleaned during the stop - told the reception twice about the room still not cleaned disgraceful service
Good location , helpful and friendly staff , clean rooms and comfortable bed
We only stayed at the hotel for the one night. We were going to a gig at The Assembly which is literally a 5 minute walk from the hotel.Perfectly situated for us.We didn’t have breakfast as I am gluten free and dairy free and the breakfast just looked to be a wheat laden affair-no cooked breakfast from what I could see.My rooms air con was broken but I was moved almost immediately. The rooms are all similar, are clean, bright and a step above your basic Premier Inn level.Staff were friendly and approachable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Gorgeous bar, room was lovely, staff really friendly and great location.
Excellent structure. friendly, professional staff, attentive to the needs of the guest. Great location great breakfast very clean rooms
this was my 2nd [or 3rd?] visit the staff is terrific!! great location the design and function of the rooms great terrific bed the lighting good. not TOO much fluorescent. the desk and reading lamps are happily warm. wish indirects were warm not icy as well. good eco soap bottles and controlled maid service. I didn't use any maid svc.. when the tissue box emptied on day one I put it outside and it was happily refilled and put back in the room I wish the TV had CNN and the TV was behaving weirdly during my three days. I reported it to Juan. the German channels and the aquarium were jumbled. the rest would be fine, then freeze, then go blank for 2-3 minutes and then return for another 20 minutes or so. then rinse and repeat. luv that desk and bar open 24 hours. good breakfast room. great dbl pained windows. keep up the good work. thanks, jfi room was booked by COISCEIM so can't answer below
Rooms small, but comfortable. Breakfast was poor.
A lovely hotel. Central to all our excursions. I think our longest walk to a pickup site was 15 minutes. Hotel bar was lively, but not too lively, so a nice place to return to after hitting a pub, etc. The room was good sized. All told, a great “home port.”
The price was reasonable, the breakfast was awesome, the room was clean. The rooms are really small. My only real point of disappointment was the TV channel selections and no ability to stream for things like Netflix, Paramount...etc. That was a big let down and The reason for a 7 rating.
Was all perfect!
Comfortable, quiet, clean, central, value, No fault with anything
Clean rooms but very small, great for solo travelers
