To much noise from the restoration, 06.15 in the morning ekstremely noisy, lasted 1 hour. No cleaning 1.day . Reseption untidy, too much not ok this time, unfortunately. To pay full prize under this condition is not right. Motel One Statsoper has been my favorithotel in Wien, no longer. I wait for apologise and compensation.
Hotel booked over than 6 month in advance to attend Vienna opera for wedding aniversary, but surprise, surprise - at arrival hotel was under renovation and overbooked. After discussions they found one room but our friends were relocated to other hotel in Vienna. Next suprise - at arrival paid for hotel +full breakfast, but in next morning - breakfast is not available due to renovations. So question is why at the moment of payment nobody informed us about this? Resolution was found at checkout and breakfast was refunded. And breakfast in nearby caffe was lovely! And just additionally - removation means dust also in rooms and for no iron/board available to prepare for opera in evening.
Really enjoyable stay at Motel One Staatsoper. Although the hotel was undergoing renovation / upgrading this didn't really impact much - no louf noise etc so I still got a good night's sleep. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful.
The location and room were great. We would have loved to have a little fridge in the room.
Great location and building, outstanding value for money, wonderful staff service and responsiveness
The room was clean but small. The staff were friendly. Disappointed to find on arrival that there was limited breakfast due to renovation works. We felt as a matter of courtesy and good customer service, that we should have been notified of this before our arrival. I also emailed raising the above issues during our stay. I feel that not receiving a reply as yet, reflects poor customer service and is unprofessional. .
I normally always enjoy staying at Motel One. This time however I was disappointed. The room was tiny (smaller than my bathroom at home) with a sloping ceiling, verging on claustrophobic, and the price of over €200/night relatively high in view of the inconvenience of the ongoing renovations. The prosecco in the bar was mediocre and breakfast not available. What the café nearby provided was not up to your standards. While I appreciate that improvements are being made, the overall experience was less than satisfactory.
We enjoyed our as always look forward to returning and the completed renovations
the room was nice..clean and uncluttered…though a chair for the table would have been nice. You are well located. The front desk staff were friendly. It would have been nice to know that you had works going on and that services were limited and a voucher were have been nice.
The hotel was under construction, so somewhat disorganized and not focused on providing a positive customer experience. Your computer system is a disaster and was difficult to manage. Your upgrade last November was felt by your customer... Paying in advance for any service rather than charging to the room is an inconvenience...it makes me feel you don't trust me...
Due to working, the corridors on the 4th floor were very dirty, there was no proper bar in the hotel, I was not informed upfront of the constructions and the smell of the construction were very much available through the ventilation in the room on the 4th floor. Information at the desk about the alternative for the breakfast was not clear, only directing with the finger were it should be located, instead of telling or given a small map to indicate that there is a passage to get there in an easy way.
Love the Place !! Always perfect
Alles gut
Excellent staff. Efficient and friendly. I would suggest that water and tea/coffee facilities should be complementary in the rooms
Alles super
The hotel is optimally positioned, very close to the mall and the metro station where all lines cross. The room is clean and comfortable. The closet is minimal but enough for short stays. The breakfast is continental, it offers a wide choice and a good coffee.
Again ok!
very good location, delicious breakfast; the room is not so big, but for the stay OK, maybe it could be good to have a glass in the room. The place for breakfast is a little bit small for so many people. I needed to sit at the bar, but the staff was very kind and if they saw a better place they helped me to replace
I had a reasonable sized room with a wonderful view. The receptionists were very helpful. I thought the breakfasts were slightly overpriced for the offering and the breakfast area a bit cluttered.
Room looked dated - especially the bathroom. Bathroom could use new tiling. Found hairs in the bed - not mine
Wonderful experience staying at Staatsoper Motel One
Paper caps in the bathroom is a no no No coffee machine in the room
The lack of a fridge and materials to have a cup of tea in the room is a big problem. Reception staff very nice but waiting time too long. Breakfast seating insufficient
I'm always happy at Motel One wien Staatsoper
This hotel is a very clean, comfortable, and very well located hotel in central Vienna. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered a broad and plentiful selection.
There was no water on Sunday afternoon, no use of toilett, but I had to pay full. One of two elevators to our floot was out of order.
Great location, great bar and public areas. Room warm and comfortable, clean and friendly
Nice and clean, but nothing extra.
Nice room in the top floor but the walls were cardboard which renders the room totally noisy (you could hear every word from the next room) The room was not cleaned well enough during the two nights
Very helpful and friendlx front desk!
Room small but adequate. Very much missed access to free tea and water most hotels provide. Ceiling low on one side of the room and bumped into it a few times.
Liked the hotel and the location every thing was super.
The location is ideal , close to the main attractions and means of public transport. Although we had booked a special room we were given a room on the ground floor next to the storeroom with a lot of problems causing an uncomfortable staying. Walls needed cleaning, bathroom door almost touching the toilet, no facilities (eg coffee machine ) or toiletries ( shower cap). When we asked for a really special room we were informed that the hotel was fully booked and they would try their best the next day. Overall it was an unpleasant situation in spite of the hotel's potentials.
Room was very small - There wasn’t even a single shelf for the clothes. Breakfast was good, bar was nice. All in all a very good stay.
We love Motel One Staatsoper and have stayed there several times. Pleasant staff, great location, and very fine breakfast.
Comfortable, Clean, Fantastic location and a great Bar!!!
Clean rooms; comfortable beds; great shower/water pressure; nice lobby bar; very friendly staff. Great location. Very walkable to restaurants, sites, public transportation. Would book this property again.
We were delighted to stay in the best room in the house! Loved the views from the top. Amazing lounge and bar area. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family
Great location, boring breakfast, sticky cheese like in all motel ones
A great hotel to spend a long weekend in when visiting Vienna. Fantastic breakfasts.
it could have been a bit cleaner. i found a lot of hair at the walls in the bathroom after checkin
We Like the experience very much
Always great place to stay. Basic yet its all you need. Location is perfect!
The hotel is very well situated for museum going and access to transportation. However, I wish each room had a safe for valuables: it's shocking that this hotel does not offer that amenity. Additionally, a suitcase stand/luggage rack is considered a necessity: it was strange not to haver that either. The water bottle received at reception was a welcome gift.
Great location, nice room...definitely recommend it to others
staff is very friendly
Excellent location and very accommodating staff. I appreciated that rooms were cleaned at reasonable times early in the day. Rooms are VERY small. My only disappointment was that the hotel does not have small face towels/wash clothes.
For the price point, this was a nice little hotel. It was spotless with nice decor and a comfortable bed. All we really needed.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay in a standard room. Excellent staff, both friendly and efficient, beautiful building, perfectly located for exploring the city on foot or by public transport. Excellent breakfast and very inviting bar area. I can think of nothing to fault it. Found Motel 1 from a British TV show with the chef and restauranteur, Rick Stein.
Room facilitioes could be slighty better level (i.e. water, glasses, safe)
