Very nice location. Single rooms are very small. Unacceptable small WC.
Overall an excellent experience. Two things that made me award 8 rather than 10 points: 1. I need to store medication in a fridge. I have stayed in other hotels that do not include a fridge in the room but they have all provided a small portable fridge, without any surcharge, to allow the correct storage. Motel One offered to store it in a non-accessible fridge and required the signing of a note saying they accept no responsibility for the correct storage. The medication can be rendered ineffective, if not correctly stored, and there is also a hygiene risk when the storage facility cannot be inspected and multiple people handle medication. This is not acceptable! 2. The headboard in my room showed clear signs of wear and tear which is a disappointment in a hotel of this standing.
Almost perfect! Excellent check in, location, room quality and size of room, lobby, hvac unit, and great price. Friendly and accommodating staff. Lobby & Bar is good. For the location given that you can walk easily into the inner city and that you are at Karlsplatz it is an excellent hub location! There is also a Billa and Spar within a block and a few cafes and restaurants that are all good. Three things that kept it from getting a perfect 10 which are mostly minor but since we are being picky: No chair for office table in room (this I don't understand and would be a big issue for me in most cases besides this trip) No in room safe No iron in room (there is a common ironing room but staff has to let you in, doesn't help when in a rush) Besides that I don't understand the trend of no shower doors (not unique to this hotel). The bathroom ends up completely soaked every time. I did not have the breakfast so I can't comment about that part. Staff was very helpful, accommodating, and the rooms are brand new, stylish, and large compared to anything else at this price point.
First, I want to Thank you for your help when I felt unwell at breakfast. Wonderful courtesy and concern. The room is simple, but very clean. We stay 4 days without demanding that the attendances clean our room. I´ts perfect. I would like to see in the room a safe and a TV centered with the bed, with channels variety and with sound.

Great location, clean, good AC and great breakfast option
Great location, rooms a little bit small and no refrigerator or safety box in the room. The door to the bay window can be locked but not unlocked without a key which means that someone might get stuck out there in that space.
I love the service and the location of this Hotel. Best Hotel for the price.

No nonsense & practical hotel. Its beautiful and airy lobby is an asset for travellers to relax and to have a chat before or after a busy day. The breakfast at hotel is worth every euro. The location is ideal as you can walk to old town and to subway easily.
Room was small for dual occupancy - lack of space for clothes and for wash bags etc in the bathroom. Table was tiny! Bed was comfortable. Aircon took some figuring out to avoid headaches, but happy that the windows could be opened and it could be turned off (I think it was off). We would have liked a 3 bed room but you have none. Bar with food was good to have. Room cleaning times varied - earlier at the weekend when you are going to stay in bed longer. Cleaners did not remove bottles, cups, plates etc that came from the bar. Great location. Terrible parking - that snail spiral route through all the roadworks - I hope it gets better. The 2 ticket system was complicated but it did work - number plate recognition camera linked to the hotel (ticketless) would have been much better. Keeping those tickets safe for a week was tough. Thanks for printing our concert tickets on paper - was not expecting that requirement and you came to our rescue.
Excellent service at the check-in; Excellent location; Possibility to store luggage after check-out and the friendliness of the staff who assisted us during this process; The breakfast could be improved, especially regarding the eggs (scrambled and fried) and not just boiled; The room assigned to me was not large. it had part of the ceiling sloped, which requires caution when moving about.

Everything was great including the room, the breakfast and the location of the hotel. The staff was helpful and kind inside the hotel and also helped us with the reservation trough email. The hall was real beauty. I have never experienced better wifi in a hotel than here.

Great hotel at a great rate - strong service team (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Bar). Only thing is there should be free coffee in the AM for guests or a 5 dollar per room charge for just coffee in the AM.

Great location, friendly staff and clean room
We arrived in Vienna after a long day and night of travel. I had requested early check in if possible. Imagine our delight when our room was ready at 9:30 am. Thank you Motel One !

The location is fantastic - we walked to most places, had a lovely meal at a local restaurant and the metro was close by too. Staff were helpful and room was really nice. Would definitely stay when visiting Vienna again.

My husband and I stayed at Motel One Wien-Staatsoper for one month (Room 120 from June 2nd to July1st). Everyone treated us very friendly with great hospitality. The house keeping were also very friendly to us. However, the room didn't clean up well. There were trash on bedroom at obvious place for a while but they didn't clean up. Further, I left my personal bath towel to throw away on the above of bathroom trash can that meant I didn't want it anymore. They didn't take it away on the date I did and she placed it on the bathroom floor and stayed there for few days. Maybe they didn't want to throw away any guest belongings. Maybe you can tell them it's OK to throw away those if guests leave things on above of trash can.
Wonderful plcae. I have already stayed several times at the Motel One Wien Staatsoper and it was always great. I love the location and the breakfast. Only drawback is that in times when there are many tourist/business traveller in the city that prices per night increase immensely.

Pity that there wasn't a proper desk in the room in order to able working with the laptop. Otherwise the room was clean, silent and the bed was good.
Excellent service! Staff always friendly and very helpful (at check-in and while trying to make a booking change + requesting various services). Location in the center of Vienna is fantastic. Rooms are a bit small, but for the price, it is a very good deal. Overall very satisfied with my experience and stay.
Prompt service, quiet room, excellent location, clean, great air con in room, likes there was a bar to hang items and a wardrobe with hangers and cubes. Only wish there was a small fridge in the room. Otherwise great stay, I would stay here again and recommend to others.

The room was quiet and clean, it had everything I needed for my long weekend stay. The breakfast was also very good and adequate and the staff was very helpful.
The staff at Motel One Staatsoper were fantastic. Claudia and Rayan at reception were extremely helpful. I highly commend them ! I loved my room. Breakfast was good.
I think only missing is there is no coffee or tea machines in the rooms and also you can put glasses in the room not a cartoon. The rest seems perfect.
Really enjoyed the style and service. Breakfast good. The only things that could be improved is to have drinking glasses in the rooms and a facility to iron clothes somewhere in the building.
Looking a little tired now. Could do with small revamp. I really disliked the pillows on the bed( too hard for me personally which gave me a bad back)
Beautiful hotel with great architecture. The rooms are compact and lack facilities like tea and coffee unlike other Motel Ones I have stayed at for a quite expensive price tag. Make sure you remember to put out do not disturb sign, otherwise cleaners coming in at 9am.
Really disappointed with my first stay at motel one
As always, our stay at your hotel was a pleasure thanks to the kind help we received from the staff at the reception desk. They helped us change to a room with a large wardrobe which we needed as we had a lot of clothing. They also found and returned to me an electric razor charger that I had accidently left in our original room. We look forward to staying there again on our next visit to Wien.
Overall the hotel is truly great… apart from the beds. I stayed in room 448 and as the bed was so soft (i went to the reception at approximately 1:20 in the morning to get an extra sheet so that I could sleep on the floor. The receptionist was great as he handed me a duvet cover as more comfortable. I slept on the floor but 1 hour of sleeping in the bed caused my slipped-disc injury to return. I have been in terrible pain and discomforts since then. I hope you will be compensating me. Thank you
