I like it! Very nice stay.
Good price, easy accessible location, great breakfast. However, rooms are small with not enough space to unpack. Complimentary cocktail was great 😀
Very friendly Hotel staff, Clean rooms, good Air condition and breakfast. Thank you.
We stayed here for a couple of nights as part of our honeymoon to the South of France and then on to Paris before returning home, we thought it was a beautifully designed hotel, very on trend decor with very helpful and friendly staff and a close location to the Metro for traveling to the city centre of Paris, the perfect place to stay for a city break! The lake across the road in the park was a beautiful surprise because you could hire a rowing boat to row around Lake Daumesnil. We would happily come back here again, thank you for looking after us.
We had a great stay. The metro is less than 5 minutes walk. Breakfast was great and a special thank you to Ronald who made us feel very welcome with his joy and friendliness. We were in Paris during a heatwave. The lobby doesn't have airconditioning, but the rooms do.
nice hotel near the subway and friendly and a good accomodation
It was very clean, the staff spoke English and was very friendly. The bar was also very nice.
Perfect, as usual. I've stayed here over 100 times since it opened. Quiet room at the back of the hotel, car parking in the basement, lovely lobby and reception area, nice breakfast, friendly staff, location in a nice area of Paris with good local restaurants and the park opposite.
Our stay was wonderful. We booked this hotel in advance; it's a bit far from the historic center, but the air conditioning was a huge plus. Thanks to the bar, reception, housekeeping, and kitchen teams for their work, professionalism, and responsiveness. You made our stay enjoyable!
Super
The hotel's location was good. It’s a bit far from the touristic locations, but very close to the metro station, so you can easily get anywhere by transferring lines. The room was a bit small but perfect for two; it was cleaned every day and the towels were replaced daily. Also, the reception staff was very welcoming and friendly.
I stayed at your property last year and I had such great stay, I had to return again! Due to the friendliness of your staff starting with Chaifoo in reception, I am made to feel right at home. The warmth and friendliness of your staff is a main reason I returned to Motel One Paris-Port Doree. In addition to Chaifoo, Momo and Ronald do an excellent job greeting guests and operating the restaurant/bar area. I had another great stay at your property, but I have to say I was disappointed with the shower, especially the drain during this stay. The shower drain did not function properly leaving large puddles of water on the bathroom floor and almost getting the carpet outside the bathroom wet. I mentioned this to a team member working the reception desk on my first day. The team member mentioned she would have someone come to my room to fix the drain, but the same issue with the drain remained for the duration of my two night stay. This is why I rated the bathroom a 5 on the bathroom survey. Other than the shower drain issue, the bathroom was clean and well-appointed, as was the entire room.
We had an excellent stay!. The hotel was perfect, ac came in handy. The breakfast was incredible. The bartenders were terrific. I recommend The Porn Star! Lovely place to eat across the street. Thanks for great memories!
We had a great stay at your hotel as always. And I want to say a special thanks to Anita. She was really nice. I got my morning coffee from her each day. One thing I think can improve is the airconditioning in the room. It was really warm over the weekend and I set the airconditioning to 16 degrees and the room was still really hot.
Great hotel, close to metro, bus & tram, View from room was incredible, good breakfast AC in the room was not cold enough even though we turned the temperature down all the way, asked at the reception if the AC is controlled, they said no but we could clearly tell that it got warmer during the nights. During the day the AC is either not strong enough for the heat or it is controlled as well, however with the heatwave going on, it was not cold enough to cool down. Lobby/breakfast area, they claim that they have the AC on but it won’t cool down since the door opens so many times. Not quite sure if that is true because if you’re stood further in the back of the room, it was still super hot and this is not because the door opens so many times so I guess the AC is either not strong enough or it wasn’t even turned on. Generally it wouldn’t bother me because usually you don’t stay long in the lobby but since it was also the breakfast area, it was kind of annoying because it was already super warm in the morning
Great location. Great soundproofed , modern style A\Cd rooms (though a bit small), with walk-in perfect washroom. Large and comfortable bed. Superb breakfast. Attentive, welcoming friendly service, both front desk team and brkfst area. Inviting, nice spacious lobby and garden. Highly recommended. Hopefully - I'll be back. Dear Hotel management, if you are interested in a couple of minor items to improve - kindly get in touch . Thanks, Saul G.
clean and well equiped rooms, though very small staff needs training
Overall very good and excellent value for money. Lost a few points but nothing major. We stayed during the heatwave in June and the AC struggled but this was the same as everywhere else we visited. Easy public transport access to centre of Paris.
What bout geting in bed and being OBLIGED to watch ZDF or AL JAZEERA, beacause the HDMI port is LOCKED and We cannot plug In any netflix media playser. so I cancelled ALL my reservations. I will look for another hotel.
A/C doesn't really work in the bedrooms
The room and facilities were of the usual high standard, but my experience was heavily influenced by the unfriendly reception when I arrived. The lady at Reception was brusque and offhand, I had checked in online but she seemed to find it an imposition to have to deal with me at all. After she handed me my room key and turned away, I asked about the bottle of water which I should get as a Be One member. She told me rudely that she was just getting to that, and gave me a voucher for the bar. There was nobody at the bar, and there was a sign saying to go to the Reception. So I went back and told the receptionist that, she seemed surprised that I wanted the water immediately and not after another wait. She gave me a small bottle of water, I assumed this was the practice in Paris although everywhere else (I am a regular Motel One customer) it’s been a big bottle. Later I saw a poster about BeOne benefits and there was a large bottle… but I didn’t feel like going back and arguing with the unfriendly receptionist. I felt very unwelcome and this made me decide not to use this particular Motel One again.
nice room: 745 - but staff knocked at our door at 9:50 am ! Also opened our door. I was awake and could react and let him know we were still in the room. Somehow i find this too early - next time we use "DO NOT DISTURB" -
Excellent, as usual. I've stayed here around 100 nights. Great location. Has its own car park. Spacious lobby. Quiet rooms at the back.
Great location. Property was clean. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Always a pleasure to stay at motel one, staff are excellent and can speak lots of different languages. Nice clean rooms and common areas, nice locality too and easy(ish) to get to central Paris. Would recommend.
TOP Hotel
All perfect!
very nice hotel with very kind people , the breakfast was perfect , there is metro line and tram to the center .you need to add a fridge in the room .
This was our first stay in a French Motel One, having stayed at hotels in Germany and Netherlands. Didn't think that this was up to the same standard. Room was OK. Parking was very odd. After a long journey we were met with a full sign on the car park, so could not access. One of us had to go to the front desk to see what was going on. After paying for the car park we were advised that it was not in fact full, but they did not want people to just park there. When we got into the car park there were lots of spaces. Just delayed us 10-15 minutes when we were very tired. I asked the desk in the evening to confirm that the car park access is for 24 hours and they said it was not and that we should leave by 12 when the room checkout is due. Having looked again at the Motel One website it states very clearly that it is for 24 hours, and for €25 I would expect it to be! Not up to the same standard as we have seen elsewhere.
The location is good, although a bit far from the city center, but well connected by the metro (line 8 - station a few steps from the hotel). The rooms are nice, even if a bit small (but still a bit larger than French standards). Good value for money, although breakfast is quite expensive. Special thanks to the kind Vietnamese woman who greeted us at reception and made sure everything was running smoothly every day.
The front desk staff (with one exception) was helpful and very knowledgeable. Mari, in particular, went above and beyond to assist me with an issue that was subsequently resolved. Breakfast selections were fresh and delicious and our room was lovely.
The hotel was very nice overall.
Second time staying in this Motel One in Paris and it is absolutely wonderful.
./.
Location a bit far from the city centre but very quite. Pretty comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly. Overall, good experience. Three points I didn't like much: 1. Upon arrival the toilet seemed to be cleaned not good enough. Cleaning the next day solved this issue. 2. Once I left a sign on the door that cleaning is not necessary but the room was still cleaned and we found a pillow case and my trousers on the floor. Personal items in the bathroom were also a bit messy and not where I had left them. This looked very weird and unpleasant. 3. No possibility to make tea/coffee in the room.
Really friendly staff, great location, good breakfast.
Very nice service. Good breakfast and nice lounge area. Nice little garden area outside. Rooms a bit small, but they are of a decent standard. Will definitely come back.
Excellent
Good reception staff, willing to do extra to make my stay more enjoyable. Bar staff also kind when asked for ice and to fill my thermos with hot water. Room comfortable. I, in fact, enjoyed my first stay at this hotel so much that I asked my employer if I could stay there the next time I worked in Paris. He agreed and has sent booked reservations for at least 2 other colleagues in the same hotel. They were previously using a different hotel but due to my high praise of Motel One Porte Dorée seem to have changed their top choice. That made me happy for you too.
Greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. They were happy to take our bags until our room was ready. Room was clean and comfortable. Bar/breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet and relaxing.
gutes, komfortables City-Hotel
It was clean, pretty. The staff were all super kind and it was a nice stay overall.
It was a great experience!! Me and my Partnet both loved it and would recommend this place to everyone staying in Paris!. The location is Ok it is far away but it has a great Metro connection.
Nice hotel, clean with causy launch. Easy to reach by car. Metro , which goes to center of Paris , very closeby. Very friendly staff.
Stayed on easter weekend and had a really nice time. Very helpfull and friendly staff, good location and a clean and comfortable room. What more do you need.
well arranged, room quite small for 2 persons
Very pleasant stay. Check in easeful and stay relaxed
Everything was lovely, very clean room, pleasant staff. The sound-proofing in the room is excellent, no noise from the street or the neighbours. The only thing that bothered us was that the bathroom door was very creaky and needed some oil/maintenance. Using the bathroom quietely at night was impossible.
The hotel, as usual was friendly, comfortable and clean. My only issue is with the breakfast area which is badly organised, crowded and noisy. Too much space is given to seating for the bar, which is also overfull. Breakfast time is generally busy and people go to the breakfast seating first, the other seating only gets used once thus is full. This needs to be rethought because it doesn’t make for a pleasant breakfast experience
Our stay at Motel One had some positives, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. On the positive side, everything was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, we had a major issue with the heating in the bedroom. The room was extremely hot, and we couldn’t open the window because it faced a very busy road, making the noise unbearable for sleeping. At 3 a.m., we had to ask for a fan just to get through the night. The next day, staff checked and found that the AC display was broken, so we couldn’t turn the heating off. They provided another fan, but this meant we had to sleep with two fans running, which was still uncomfortable. Both nights were very unpleasant—we couldn’t sleep properly and ended up with bad headaches due to the heat. Sadly, because of this experience, we wouldn’t return.

Urban Jungle Vibes

Hotel Paris Porte Dorée
Bienvenue à Paris! Where the French capital's urban flair intersects with the beloved city park Bois de Vincennes, our design hotel offers the ideal starting point for urban explorers, nature enthusiasts, globetrotters and business travellers alike. The lobby’s design is inspired by the surroundings, greeting you with a vibrant lighting concept comprising Ingo Maurer Butterfly and Flatterby lights and suspended dragonfly chandeliers by Damien Langlois-Meurinne.
The animal theme continues in the design hotel’s reception area. A collage-filled 3D installation by Paris-based street artist Madame Moustache featuring two large elephants sets the scene, complementing the authentic shabby-chic Parisian reception desk. Suspended porcelain lamps by Tobias Grau round off the aesthetic, making the reception area a true delight for design connoisseurs.
These impressions are seamlessly reflected in our rooms, as well: directly above the faux-leather headboard, Madame Moustache creates a romantic, dreamy motif that incorporates the coolness of Parisian street art, establishing a holistic connection between city and nature.
And when you sink into our comfortable box-spring beds, you too will think, ‘La vie est belle!’
After a relaxing night, you can look forward to an extensive breakfast buffet and other nature-inspired/urban designs. The authentic design concept also includes cosy Freifrau and Baxter chairs, arty tables by Draenert and a faceted, mirrored wall.
Visit the bar of our affordable design hotel to feel like you’re in an old French salon. Abstract Forestier chandeliers, a leather-upholstered counter front with classic diamond stitching and extensive wall panelling made of mirror pieces capture the characteristic atmosphere of a French salon.
By the way: thanks to its excellent location in the 12th arrondissement, our design hotel is the ideal starting point for exploring the city. From Gare de Lyon or the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower, all of the most important sights are within easy reach.
A different side of Paris: explore the Bois de Vincennes!
The city park next to our Motel One is three times as large as New York’s Central Park and is a popular getaway spot for Parisians looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Here’s what you shouldn’t miss:

A row boat ride at sunset

A quick trip to Asia

A feast for the eyes and the ears
