Very clean hotel but the room is SUPER small. The photos do not reflect that. The staff are lovely Mattias checked us in. The lobby and closeness to station is great. And the overall hotel and room was very tidy. However, the attention to detail in the room is not good. No phone to be able to speak to reception. No kettle, minibar, AC. The pillows on the bed were not great and when we asked for replacement we had to wait for the next day. There wasn't even any water left for us in the room to have when we arrived. So much potential especially because the hotel itself was very nice and beautiful.
Beyond my expectations, great service, great place to stay.
Everything was excellent!!
It was cold in the room. The temperature outside was 9-11 degrees, and no heating system worked because it was told to me that the hotel is "green" and before november they cannot give heating....In the last day, we have received only one big towel (we were two people)
First of all, the location - if you go by subway - ok. If by car, it's 10 km=hour to the centre!!! Secondly - 99% that when you arrive, the parking lot will be crowded and you will have to look for it nearby! The hotel is on the edge! We found it within a 25-minute walk, which is very inconvenient. And in the third in the hotel at the beginning of October in the hotel in the room was I think +15, I wanted to sleep in clothes. We are 90% staying in Europe in this network. But this hotel was a disappointment. It looks like a can, it's all like iron.
Fine hotel My ear rings are gone :( I did not use them, but they were gone the morning we left the room Very sad :( :( Gold ear ringe with leafs - brand: Julie Sandlau Morten and Hanne Jensen, Danmark room 650 Mobile 0045 26301205
super friendly staff, clean hotel. Good location.
Staff was great and accommodating.. Katia (manager) was terrific and helped solve a problem for us. Only wish was that room was a little bigger.
This is a wonderful place to stay, with quality provision and excellent staff. A kettle in the room ( as in Uk motel ones) would be perfect!
Friendly staff, very pleasant receptionists from Brazil, modern ambience, easily accessible by metro and car (though I personally only used the metro). Freundliches Personal, sympathische Rezeptionisten aus Brasilien, modernes Ambiente, gut erreichbar mit Metro und Auto, wobei ich nur mit der Metro kam.
Aircondition was not working
Spotlessly clean, quiet, cool design, perfect service.
The hotel is too far from the center. The rooms are too small without a cupboard and fridge! The breakfast I paid for 17 € was basic. There were no omelette, scrambled eggs, sausages and mushrooms. The ham was of bad quality and the cheeses were few. There was not fresh orange jus, neither many fruits. On the contrary the croissants and the pains de chocolat were a lot and very tasty! The personnel was very kind and helpful.
We had a great experience. We came for a 2 day citytrip so the location was important for us which was great. The staff was very kind and helpful. They have a parking space which was a great plus. And we slept very good, great beds.
Small rooms but clean and quiet, comfortable beds, big towels, very friendly staff. Lively bar area with outside seating in garden also nice. Advantage of underground parking at fair prices.
Inviting lobby, quiet room and friendly staff. I wish the room would come with a fridge but this is not a standard in Europe. Overall, a good experience, I will definitely consider it on my next visit to Paris.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well-designed, and the location is excellent — close to everything I wanted to see and do. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the way we were treated by the bartender. We ordered two gin and tonics, and in one of the glasses we found a hair. We raised this as a concern, and the bartender brought a new glass — but again there was a hair inside. When I asked how this could happen twice, he apologized and brought another replacement, but then asked us to verify ourselves whether there was no hair in the glass. I found this very rude and unprofessional, and it left us with a negative impression despite the otherwise pleasant stay.
Excellent room and restaurant. The people at this hotel were very friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful experience; your staff was friendly and very professional. Our room was clean and comfortable. The service was excellent. We also enjoyed having breakfast in the bar every morning.
Good location for us. There is a great park across the street and the Motel was tucked back from the street. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and helpful. The seating area inside and out are extremely comfortable. The rooms are small but the bed was quite comfortable.
Location not so central but yet good and close to the tube. Rooms are a bit small, not good for long stays. Bar and public areas very nice and staff very friendly.
Very comfortable. Lovely staff - very professional, friendly and helpful. Room a little small
Very beautiful hotel, the staff were great however, we did not like that there was no kettle in the rooms to be able to make tea or coffee.
Super hotel
Really pleased with motel1. Everything was clean and breathable.
We were delighted with everything: nice rooms, fine breakfeast, kind and helpful staff and a lovely place. It could be a little bit closer to the center, but the price-quality rate is fair enough.
Excellent
I had a very pleasant stay. Everything was perfectly arranged. I'd especially like to thank Momo and Rafael: they were extremely friendly and helpful, and made my stay extra pleasant. Their hospitality and professionalism deserve a huge compliment. I highly recommend this accommodation and would love to return.
Very competent and friendly staff. Especially M. Roland did run a perfect breakfast service with great organisation, charm and friendliness. Great value for the price, Metro station in walking distance.
Great facilities, great service and a really friendly staff team.
War alle super
Excellent 👌
Amazing breakfast, tastefully decorated, attentive staff. If you are tight on time the distance to most points of interest is a 30min Uber drive. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
Your team was very nice and the room nice and clean as expected. However, the room it self and where it was located in the building was below your standard Looking into the highway is just a bit much.
Gutes City Hotel
Of course you'll never print this, but it is my opinion and you asked for it: I hope they'll never dare change a single item here. Like the butterflies on the carpets where you leave the elevator. And my room, all compressed efficiency and simplicity without feeling small. I had no chairs and no table: this is no place for work. No noise either except the airco humming softly, I turned it off before going to sleep. The ongoing heat wave kept outside. Excellent buffet breakfast. Impressive lounge with daring modern design. Cool underground parking for the car. Too easy to find: driving clockwise on the Périférique, twenty metres on your right past the exit Porte Dorée. Keep all this to yourself! Here is un p'tit coin d'paradis.
A lovely hotel, friendly staff. Unfortunately there wasn't any parking left at the hotel or any near the hotel so we had to park 20 min walk away, so with having to carry our bags wasn't ideal. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.. We got a voucher for 4 free bottles of water for the next day which was nice.
Alles top.
It was great and the best hotel I’ve stayed in Paris also the room was cleaned every day which was really nice also
Disappointing Check-In Experience Despite Completed Online Pre Check-In: Although I had completed the online pre check-in and provided all personal details in advance, my reservation could not be found at reception upon arrival. I even presented the confirmation of the completed pre check-in, yet the process still took a considerable amount of time before I received the key card for the room. Frankly, I struggle to understand the purpose of offering an online pre check-in if, at the hotel, guests are still required to go through a full check-in procedure, including ID verification and reservation lookup—even for prepaid bookings. By contrast, I had a much smoother and more professional experience at Motel One in Zurich, where the reception handled everything efficiently. Sadly, the service at this location was disappointing. A shame, considering the usually high standards of the Motel One chain. On a positive note, the room was impeccably clean and well maintained, which I truly appreciated. However, the cocktails at the bar were underwhelming, lacking both flavor and presentation. Breakfast was also far from enjoyable—finding a table felt like a competition, and the setup led to significant crowding, as all the food stations were placed on one side of the room. This created a bottleneck and made the whole experience feel rushed and stressful.
I loved the terrace where I was able to have breakfast with my dog
Nice place, very good breakfast, friendly staff, convenient private parking if needed, rooms are quiet and super clean but a little small and lacking small tables to hold the suitcases and may be a few more shelves to hold toiletries in the bathroom? I understand French and English but I am totally lost with German. However, I received a few information emails in German that I could not understand at all...
Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful, yet far from the city center, offering all the amenities you need. The room is a bit small and has no refrigerator or phone to contact reception, but it's nice and very clean. Breakfast is plentiful. I love the design. I will definitely be back.
I am absolutely impressed of the excellent service, cleanliness. The room, very nice, comfortable. The buffet breakfast, perfect. I still don't understand why it is called "motel" instead of Hotel. The architectural design of the building itself, very nice. Modern. The staff — most friendly staff ever. Always with a big smile. Love it. I recommended it 100%
Motel One is our go-to hotel chain. Always great quality and friendliness at a fair price.
Nice looking hotel, clean and stylish rooms, quiet area.
Everything was as always expected in a MotelOne. We regret that there were no scrambled eggs, fried bacon, or mushrooms for breakfast. (Had that always at Campus Munich) The breakfast buffet was otherwise very extensive, but all the food was cold.
Very clean, friendly staff. Easy to navigate using the metro. Bed very comfortable and quiet. Safe area. Limited space for luggage
I like to get a room as far away from the lift as possible. This time I was next to the laundry room, where the shelves creaked early in the morning and I had to put earplugs in. That apart, it was fine, as usual. I have stayed over 60 nights here. The location is wonderful in the summer.
The stay at Motel One Paris Porte Doree was great. The room was very clean, the staff was super friendly and the location was very close to the metro. Breakfast was super tasty and offered a nice variety. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Urban Jungle Vibes
Experience the unique urban jungle atmosphere in our Motel One Paris-Porte Dorée.
Hotel Paris Porte Dorée
Bienvenue à Paris! Where the French capital's urban flair intersects with the beloved city park Bois de Vincennes, our design hotel offers the ideal starting point for urban explorers, nature enthusiasts, globetrotters and business travellers alike. The lobby’s design is inspired by the surroundings, greeting you with a vibrant lighting concept comprising Ingo Maurer Butterfly and Flatterby lights and suspended dragonfly chandeliers by Damien Langlois-Meurinne.
The animal theme continues in the design hotel’s reception area. A collage-filled 3D installation by Paris-based street artist Madame Moustache featuring two large elephants sets the scene, complementing the authentic shabby-chic Parisian reception desk. Suspended porcelain lamps by Tobias Grau round off the aesthetic, making the reception area a true delight for design connoisseurs.
These impressions are seamlessly reflected in our rooms, as well: directly above the faux-leather headboard, Madame Moustache creates a romantic, dreamy motif that incorporates the coolness of Parisian street art, establishing a holistic connection between city and nature.
And when you sink into our comfortable box-spring beds, you too will think, ‘La vie est belle!’
After a relaxing night, you can look forward to an extensive breakfast buffet and other nature-inspired/urban designs. The authentic design concept also includes cosy Freifrau and Baxter chairs, arty tables by Draenert and a faceted, mirrored wall.
Visit the bar of our affordable design hotel to feel like you’re in an old French salon. Abstract Forestier chandeliers, a leather-upholstered counter front with classic diamond stitching and extensive wall panelling made of mirror pieces capture the characteristic atmosphere of a French salon.
By the way: thanks to its excellent location in the 12th arrondissement, our design hotel is the ideal starting point for exploring the city. From Gare de Lyon or the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower, all of the most important sights are within easy reach.
A different side of Paris: explore the Bois de Vincennes!
The city park next to our Motel One is three times as large as New York’s Central Park and is a popular getaway spot for Parisians looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Here’s what you shouldn’t miss:

A row boat ride at sunset

A quick trip to Asia

A feast for the eyes and the ears
