Good overall- low water pressure in shower
Perfect location, fast and easy check in, clean and tidy room, extremely comfy bed, later check out than most places. Well worth it, would stay again
Comfortable & clean room with good amenities.
would have been nice to have water in the room as we arrived. no bin liners
Thermostat in the room didn't work but otherwise happy with my stay. Room was spacious and clean. Great soundproofing, couldn't hear a thing outside despite being in the busy centre. Great staff service and hotel bar.
Motel 1 is perfect for a short stay. Great location with its own welcoming bar area. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Our one night week day stay was great value.
I have stayed here a few times because it is great value for money; clean and comfortable room, central location, friendly staff. This time however, my stay was slightly marred by a few small things. I paid £18 more than my previous stay 2 weeks earlier (weekday rather than a Sunday) but my room was a lot smaller(cramped even) with an unnecessary table blocking a full length mirror. The narrow mirror itself was bizarrely positioned so close to the edge of the wall that it meant my arm had little room to manoeuvre when drying my hair as the door was in my way. The end of the bed was so near to the wall that a large person would struggle to get around it. There was only one hangar for my clothes. Finally, an issue with my details the following morning meant I waited almost 10 mins for my invoice to be printed. If this had been my first stay, I would probably not stay again. However, having stayed 4 or 5 times at this hotel, I know this latest experience is unusual. The staff are friendly and helpful (I was given a quiet room on request), bathrooms and rooms immaculately clean and beds very comfortable. The lounge is particularly well decorated and furnished in a relaxed and cosy style. I don't eat breakfast so am unable to comment on this aspect.
Very nice location and convenient. Our room was quiet. We’ll go back next trip.
Great staff interaction, everyone was lovely, including tech support for our meeting room. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. Great bedrooms and breakfast, Special shout out to Angie for her fantastic communication and interaction.
Very welcoming. Hotel is immaculate and rooms are cosy
Wonderful Staff.Ryan was so helpful.Marisa was too.L9vely breakfast.Lovely room.Will be back.
Excellent staff, comfortable room, bar that is open late, all at a really affordable rate.
Brilliant value for money
Overall I had a great experience, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly! The only downside is that the toilets in the lounge area are locked with key cards, this meant that after checking out we were unable to use this bathroom even after paying for drinks.
Very pleaseantly surprised by the whole atmosphere and friendly staff. Impressed with cleaniness and modern feeling. Only critics for my short stay would be that there was no hand soap available in the washroom, and the pillows are too soft in my honest opinion. Lastly I did have to ask regarding my free bottle of water rather than being reminded/given it during my check-in.
always good, reliable, clean and comfortable room and nice communal facilities
Fantastic hotel spotless clean fantastic service only one bad point was the paper cups in the room to drink coffee out of , would have expected something a little better
Easy and quick check in. Very friendly staff. Clean, comfortable and well equipped double room. Easy to control air conditioning, we would have liked to be able to open the window more than a tiny crack however I understand due to the height of the room 6th floor why this is not possible.
Really lovely staff and really nice and clean room. Breakfast was good but no hot chocolate in the machine so I just got hot milk instead lol ahah and it ran out of milk a couple times so coffee options were limited too. Really nice to check out at 3pm. Water pressure in shower wasn’t the best but that was no bother. Great location. Would definitely stay again.
The bar staff have always been helpful and happy to help. The receptionists are always with a smile and understanding
I’m writing to formally complain about what was an entirely unacceptable experience from arrival through to check-in. I had booked two rooms for two travellers via email with Yana. I was clear that we would both be arriving late, and I provided card details through your payment link to cover the late arrival. I reasonably assumed this secured both rooms. On arrival, my colleague’s room had been cancelled. After some delay, another room was found and she was checked in, but the situation was stressful and completely avoidable given the prior correspondence. I was then unable to check in myself. After waiting around 10 minutes, another room was allocated and the number written on the key card. When I went to the room, the key did not work. I returned to reception and was told the card had been programmed correctly, and was escorted back to the room — only for the receptionist to then realise he had written the room number incorrectly. We then went to what was said to be the correct room. On opening the door, we found the room clearly occupied, with clothes on the bed and floor. We left immediately. This was extremely embarrassing and a serious failure in basic room control. At that point, I was offered a drink at the bar while another room was found. Eventually, an unoccupied room (a slight upgrade) was allocated. However, the disruption continued. Around five minutes later, the receptionist knocked on my door again, concerned that I had three rooms reserved — clearly further confusion arising from the original booking, despite me having confirmed the details in advance. In total, it took close to an hour from arrival before I was finally able to close my door and settle. This was not a minor inconvenience — it was a complete breakdown in your booking and front desk processes, from the initial cancellation through to room allocation and system control. The experience was stressful, disorganised, and unacceptable. I would like a clear explanation of how this situation arose, and what you intend to do to address it.
Great position in the city, all staff I encountered were incredibly friendly, helpful and happy to help. The room was lovely, very clean, plenty of space for luggage and cloths and the bathroom was very clean, although small very well presented. The shower head was a little close to the wall so difficult to get fully under but a small issue overall.
Yet another amazing stay. Staff are attentive and helpful as always, and the rooms are spotless as always.
Very friendly staff, clean and quiet room, great location. We’ll be back
Great stay as usual. Friendly staff, the young lady on Breakfast Saturday morning in particular was extremely bright and bubbly, friendly and attentive, making for a good start to the day. The inly slight issue I had was that the water pressure in the shower (Room 844) was quite low and did not get very hot at all. Otherwise, the usual great Motel One stay.
Excellent quality of amenities. Very comfortable and up to date interiors. Fab location. Would highly recommend
Straightforward check-in with friendly and engaging staff on the front desk. Great value, clean rooms. Excellent, comfy beds. Cool, relaxing bar area, great for an evening night cap.
Rooms are small but functional. Very good breakfast, good bar service throughout the day and in the evening, perfect room service. Room prices are moderate, the hotel is perfectly located next to the big metrolink station.
Perfectly located and excellent room. Only comment is that we'd have preferred proper tables and chairs for breakfast rather that the bar seats which were made for lounging not eating.
Great hotel and location. Would prefer proper cup in room rather than single use paper cups
Does evertyhing ok, but nothing felt special.
Fine. Took some time to check in. Did not opt for breakfast as seemed expensive for what it was. Shower lukewarm even on highest setting. But bed comfy enough and room clean.
It is a warm and welcoming hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The guy working in the bar was particularly friendly and hospitable.
Very good overall, but no instructions given on check-in about breakfast arrangements.
Great service
Great service, tidy and comfortable room, good shower pressure and size.
Over-priced for standards provided. Very disappointing. From tardy bar staff, to paper cups and insufficient loo roll and tepid shower in room. Standards of a travel lodge with double the price.
A friendly, clean and well located hotel close to Manchester centre. The bed was comfortable and it was nice and quiet but the room was a bit tight with paper cups for drinks and our shower was only luke warm which we reported in the morning.
Great welcome, friendly service, comfortable room, comfy bed, and nice space downstairs to hang out and eat/drink. Good location.
Great central hotel. Excellent value for money
Check in was nice and easy after doing it online. Was staying overnight for an event at the Albert Hall which they said was a short walk away and safe which felt great as a solo travelling woman.
The best value for money in Manchester! Hotel is super clean, staff is very friendly and helpful!
Nice contemporary hotel, friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms and spacious public area. Great location.
The staff were amazing, the rooms were beautifully clean and immaculate, would definitely stay again
Clean and comfortable with all the basics covered. Nice decor. Excellent value for money.
Excellent hotel - prime location!
Great hotel in a good location for both the metro, city centre & beyond. Clean rooms, good facilities & friendly staff.
Great place to stay. Clean and cosy!
Really nice hotel, has everything you need. Two things for the room that I would have liked: 1) decaf tea bags 2) a spoon to stir your tea with
