Very clean, great location, very friendly and professional staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great hotel - Clean, comfy bed, great cocktails
Lovely, friendly & helpful staff.
Had an amazing stay at the motel one near Royal Exchange. Rooms were exactly as advertised which was what I was looking for. Amenities were all in order and all the staff was helpful. The cleaners, bar staff and receptionist - all very helpful and answering any (sometimes silly) questions I had. A special mention to Fatima and Evie, were a big help all throughout my stay and very personable.
Clean rooms..comfy bed..but little room for storage of clothes and there was no cooked breakfasts which is always nice when on holiday/breaks away
Lovely place and very helpful at the reception thank-you
Our second Motel 1 stay in Manchester. Excellent value, central location. High cleanliness standards. Very efficient and helpful staff. Room as advertised , just big enough . Nice to have bottle of water . Guest seating areas and bar very comfortable. Will use again and recommend
I had a very good stay here. The staff especially Michael and Miguel were friendly and helpful, and I felt safe and comfortable throughout my visit. The hotel met all of my travel needs and made my trip easy and enjoyable. I would recommend it to other travelers
We love this hotel and it’s pricing and of course its location. The only disappointment was that neither usb charging sockets worked so we had to purchase plugs.
No air con, room was like an oven
Excellent location and the hotel had everything you need for a short stay, including a car park option. All staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, comfortable and had a good atmosphere. Will definitely stay again.
Excellent value for money. Good location Comfortable Friendly service
Everything was great but the tv was a wee bit stop starty with certain channels but everything else was perfect
We found the bedroom quite small, my friend has stayed with you before a couple of times when going to the theatre and the rooms were bigger. Didn't like the pillows, one was extremely flat and the other was a long thin one that was hard. The bedroom and bathroom were clean . Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't have it
Excellent location Basic room but very comfortable with all necessary facilities and ideal for short stay. Very clean and very good bathroom but small if you are a big person. Only minus points - window could do with net curtains and a small fridge would be a good addition.
good rooms good price
When I went to my room after checking in, the room hadn't been cleaned. When I went down to reception, it was sorted out quickly and I got a new clean room. Room very compact with no proper wardrobes for storing clothes. No decaf products available in the room
Evie was extremely helpful. Which help us to navigate manchester and our stay at the hotel. Many thanks Evie.
As always. Excellent in all respects. Helpful staff. Clean and adequate rooms. Great location. Acceptable price
Lovely rooms. Very clean and staff were amazing and very helpful. Would definitely stay again!
Another excellent stay with Motel One. My second time at the Manchester Royal Exchange Motel One. The team are really friendly and very helpful. The hotel is well located. This visit I needed a work space for a meeting and they let me use the meeting room. Some urgent printing was also done for me. The rooms are well equipped, the beds very comfortable and I love the toiletries. I would recommend Motel One every time.
Everything about my stay at Motel One was very good. Friendly, efficient staff, very comfortable room, excellent location and all for a very affordable price. I think it is probably the best value I have had in recent years, where the more affordable price didn't mean lower standard. Thoroughly recommend.
My husband and I had a nice stay in Manchester. We spent only one nice but we will be booking with Motel One again! The location was perfect for visiting the city, the room was spacious and clean. The Staff is really friendly and welcoming.
Fast and friendly check in. Clean room.
Housekeeping was a bit erratic time wise
I adore the staff, but this is the second occasion where, when I have left an item in my room, it has 'not been found'. The first instance was a silk pillowcase which was left on the pillow. It is a completely different colour the the hotel bedding, so how this could disappear is a mystery. Most recently on my last visit, I changed rooms for my second night and in my rush I left my electric toothbrush in the bathroom. The same day the room was cleaned and when I returned that evening I was given they to check in it (112). The toothbrush was gone, of course, but it was not noted in the book by Housekeeping. I was told a message would be left with them and checked in the morning - still nothing. I left my details to be called and updated - nothing. I called a couple of days later and my issue was noted again. I said I would be out so to leave a message if I was called back and again received nothing. There must be a simple procedure the Housekeeping team follow when items are left in rooms so it is a concern to me that I have now lost 2 items at your hotel when they should have been put aside. Either they have been thrown away, which is unacceptable, or, less likely, taken. It saddens me to need to submit this because I have been staying at Cross Street for over 3 years now - every time I come to Manchester and it's my home away from home. However, I'm really disappointed and upset by the unacceptable resolution in these incidents. I understand my personal belongings are my responsibility but in each instance I have swiftly informed staff - there is not reason why my items should not have been recovered and it has left me to of pocket twice. I would still like to be contacted by management regarding this.
Very accommodating , very clean and tidy. The room done the job for the price very clean and a good nights sleep. Only one very small negative trying to find the hotels car park (which is very good and secure) but you need to go into reception to obtain a fob to enter the car park however the roads around the hotel are all double yellow lines so you “shouldn’t” really stop there. As a solo traveller I had no option but to stop on them. That aside once inside the hotel the reception staff were very quick to come out and escort me into the car park which took less than 5 minutes. So potentially keep this in mind if you’re travelling alone, I’m sure there maybe parking spaces nearby but on this particular occasion there wasn’t. Still the hotel and car park were both fantastic and in a great location and very reasonably priced for a city centre hotel - will definitely stay again.
The location is perfect. The price is reasonable. The room is neat and tidy. My only concern was I asked for parking and was told yes there is but was not told I have to book it or nor offered to get me booked. . On the day we got to the hotel I was told parking is fully booked that I should have booked it In advance!
Second time at this particular Motel One. Excellent experience on both occasions. Prime location too.
Room was quite small but has everything needed. Comfortable beds. Only miss was the cleaning: not done everyday.
Great location and lovely, modern, clean hotel. Room slightly on the small size but well equipped. Car park was quite tight on entry and exit and at £25 was a little on the pricy side.
Excellent hotel, staff were all very friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms were very clean, we felt very comfortable. Excellent location, would definitely recommend. Thank you.
Maiko (I hope I got the writing correctly) was really friendly and sweet on check-in and during our stay.
Enjoyed our 2day stay with you. Lovely hotel, very central to everything.
Had a great first night however when I came back on day two, there was a dirty wet cloth left on my side of the bedside table, and then stains on the bedsheet followed by my towels not being changed. Everything else was perfect and the staff were very helpful.
Best hotel in Manchester The staff was really nice and the room was clean and perfect !
When we come to manchester this is the only hotel we stay at, joined the app and it's great. Really good staff excellent location and the hotel is very clean and tidy . If you want a good hotel in the best location motel one is the one.
Absolutely incredible stay, the lady who was on the bar from reservations killed it and made my stay amazing
Centrally located, upbeat hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and well planned. Bathroom was ideal. Very clean and well presented rooms. Easy check in and out. Friendly staff.
Really enjoyed it
Love this modern friendly and comfortable hotel in central Manchester.
Room was relatively small but nice inside. Hotel reception was lovely and view was nice. No bin in actual room, only in bathroom. Disappointed only 2 coffee cups in the room and no glass etc in the bathroom. I wear a night guard and need to use a cup to clean my mouth guard in so was disappointing this meant I then only had 1 coffee cup between us for a drink the next morning
Central location Good size parking albeit expensive Responsive Basic but clean and comfortable
I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough! From location to the staff, it was perfect! I took unwell during my stay and the hotel manager personally took care of me. She checked on me regularly and had staff do the same. I cannot thank you all enough! I will stay again when in Manchester.
We’ve stayed here 2 years in a row now and we will definitely be back for a 3rd! Lovely staff, always accommodating and friendly, and great rooms for great value! Location is PERFECT, so no brainer alongside everything else
Staff wasn’t very polite upon entrance which made my stay a little unsettling everything else was up to Standard
It was a gorgeous hotel, all the facilities were useful. The rooms were nice and comfy and the style of the hotel was lovely. The hotel was brilliantly placed in the centre of Manchester and was easy to find. Only thing that could’ve gone better was that we didn’t know we had to reserve parking so had to park somewhere else but overall good experience
Amazing ! Will certainly be back
Room was very clean although small. The shower was nice and big but hardly any water pressure. Staff on reception were very friendly. Car park is a big bonus and the main reason for the booking.
On the whole it’s always a nice stay at the hotel. Unfortunately this time there was not sufficient water pressure coming from the shower. Michael the receptionist was very attentive as always.

Location and surroundings
Hotel Manchester Royal Exchange
Our Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange is designed with a trendy faux-industrial look in memory of Manchester’s golden era when it was known as “Cottonopolis”: all about cotton as a raw material and its processing. The foyer is dominated by six-metre high round steel arches and a wall of printed cloth, as a foretaste of our theme. Furniture by Baxter and hanging lamps by Alturo Alvarez are complemented by details such as spools of thread and spinning machines.
The main eye-catcher is a wall installation entitled "Cottonopolis" by paper artist Andy Singleton, composed entirely of shapes cast by innumerable single threads.
Our affordable hotel is situated right opposite the Royal Exchange Theatre in the very heart of Manchester. The Town Hall, Manchester Cathedral, Manchester Arena and the Manchester Central Convention Complex are within walking distance, and both Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly stations are within easy reach.
Visit us in Manchester and find out about the centre of the cotton trade.

Cool Cotton
Classic British furniture, paper sculptures and more will transport you to "Cottonopolis" - 19th century Manchester.
