Perfect location. Very comfortable room and very helpful staff. I would highly recommend this place.
Great location, surroundings, rooms and service always
Return stay, convenient location to Piccadilly Station a plus. Room and service excellent. Missing, a mini frig
Absolutely 💯
I really enjoyed my stay at Motel One. The room was perfectly clean and the breakfast was great. I will definitely look to stay again.
Room was clean and quite spacious, equivalent to rooms at other hotels that charge a lot more. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
The hotel was really nice amd clean, I loved the modern/rustic decor but over all id say it is better than most hotels ive been too im definitely staying again.
Excellent. Only criticism is the lack of a safe in the room
My sister and myself were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the atmosphere and the cleanliness of the hotel. Will stay there again.
Staff friendly and helpful, room clean with a good bathroom and comfortable bed. We had the breakfast option which was nice, a selection of continental breakfast items with something for everyone. Hotel is ideally situated for Manchester Piccadilly station. We arrived on the train and had only a 5 minute walk to the hotel, and in the morning, only a 5 minute walk for our train to the airport. Lounge/bar area is cosy and welcoming with a well-stocked bar. Kettle and hair dryer in room.
I found all the team I spoke to were friendly, and extremely helpful as and when required. The Hotel was the perfect location for my needs with all forms of transport a few minutes walk away. I did not have breakfast there but what I saw looked lovely. The Room was comfortable and clean, It was the perfect place to stay for my working week.
Exactly what we needed, very central, friendly and welcoming staff and a comfy night rest after a day of meetings!
Very comfortable and the environment was great
I thought the room provided excellent value for money. Spotlessly clean and comfortable - good on you Motel One!
Excellent as always.
An excellent stay at a really nice hotel-even if it was for just one night.
Enjoyed our stay. Room was clean. Bed was comfy. Loved their breakfast and close vicinity to the train station.
Stayed here many times. Really good location right next to Piccadilly station and perfect for Canal Street which is a two minute walk. Very friendly staff who are warm and welcoming. A very modern hotel with excellent facilities - Shower, bed, TV, wi-fi all excellent.
Spotless clean, great location, amazing staff
This is my second time choosing Motel One. Last time was Motel One Amsterdam. I love the super convenient location, across from the train station and probity to good restaurants. We feel very safe walking back to the hotel in the evening. Most of all, great value for the quality of room, beddings, bathroom facilities. The only thing that was better at the Amsterdam Motel One was the coffee. They have a way superior coffee machine at the bar and brewed an excellent Americano. May be the quality of coffee used in UK is different. One other thing is emails communication is not in English even though the location is in UK. Other than that, no other complaints, will likely try another Motel One in our travel.
Clean, comfortable, good location and good breakfast - only criticisms would be water pressure in shower wasn't great, and local tram noise could be heard through the double glazing.
Negatives include: An extremely rude member of staff on the bar, called "Shareal". The front desk staff were tired of receiving customer complaints about him. This individual should not be in a customer-facing role and (with all respect) possibly has some behavioural difficulties that I hope he gets help for. beOne members get a free bottle of water, but it is not chilled, and there is no fridge in the room. The King or Double bed is actually two beds pushed together, so you fall down the gap in the middle. No milk for the tea and coffee in the room. Nowhere to put used tea bags. Cheap plastic cups in the room instead of china cups like literally every other hotel (they can't be bothered to do the washing up, it seems). Weak water flow from shower. No room service, or ability to order food. Overall, it is like paying a lot more than a Travelodge, but having an objectively much worse experience.
Absolutely love this hotel great location staff so friendly and very appreciative they will go above and beyond for you definitely be back again soon
Overall the stay was very good. Polite staff, Lovely room and building over all. Super Location. It was unclear about breakfast - we assumed from the listing that breakfast was included and it wasn’t and what we paid for it on one morning was no value gir money.
We booked through booking.com. We’re not from the UK and arrived to the hotel early. We got to check in early no issues. The room was basic but clean, great value for money. Only criticism I would give- I booked the hotel based on the pictures displayed on booking.com. The hotel room we got looked nothing like the photos.
The room was clean, well lit and had air conditioning which was great. Comfortable bed and a decent view out on to the city. The staff were really warm and welcoming. I would have given it a 10 but the breakfast was extremely basic - bread, slices of meat and boiled eggs. For a similar cost hotel closeby, you get a full cooked buffet style breakfast. Despite this, I would stay again because the hotel is in a great location and has a nice vibe but would probably venture out for breakfast.
I’ve stayed here before and chose to return because of its excellent location near Piccadilly Station and the comfortable bed and pillows. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t meet the same standard. The first room I was given had visible stains on the furniture, including white drip marks along the bed base, stains on the chairs, and what looked like blood droplets on the bathroom floor. I felt uncomfortable and had to raise the issue with staff, which was awkward — though they did respond quickly and moved me to a different room. The second room was better, but still showed signs of wear and lacked a thorough clean. The bathroom floor was grubby, and the bed base had residue marks. It gave the impression of a well-used room that needed deeper attention. On the positive side, I felt safe and secure during my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the blackout curtains combined with quiet air conditioning made for a restful night. These comforts, along with the location, are why I’ve returned — but I hope the hotel improves its cleaning standards to match the rest of the experience.
Very friendly welcome at reception, and upon entry the hotel felt modern and looked clean. I was gifted a free bottle of water - it was huge and made of glass! No plastic, which is great. The elevators all worked, the key card worked flawlessly. The room was a decent size, clean, with a shower with a hose (not the dreaded fixed head ones). Everything worked in the room. Plug sockets by the bed. Generous free tea and coffee. Bed was comfy and I slept well.
Lovely lady that checked us in. Room clean but TV was playing up. Great location
Lovely I’ve stayed here before, excellent service, friendly staff and clean room. Good location as well. No complaints!!!
Friendly staff. Really nice room. Quiet. Would stay again.
Nice overnight stop at motel one. Quiet cool room, friendly staff to greet you on arrival. Only marked down due to TV in room didn't work and odd choice for light switch location.
Good value for money in an excellent position for travelling around Manchester. The room was clean and modern and the staff were helpful.
Great stay. This motel provided excellent value for money.
Lovely stay, lovely staff and great all round
I stayed for one weekday night before a work event the next day. I needed a central room close to the train station and the venue. Online check-in made things quicker when I arrived, even though reception wasn’t very busy. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for the first floor. I didn’t book breakfast, but I passed the breakfast area and it looked good. I’ll definitely stay again.
The Motel One is fantastic! I loved the furniture design, the room and the breakfast. But I would like to have hygienic shower in my bathroom and less noise due to the trams at nite.
Fabulous location, fabulous hotel, fabulous staff. Totally and utterly faultless.
Really good stay, as always. Room clean and tidy. The whole hotel is clean and the staff are great.
Ideal location no issues
The room seemed to be cleaned a while ago. The handheld shower-head needs to be cleaned thoroughly. The water does not come out freely. The washbasin was dirty or coloured, which gives an uncomfortable feeling.
Return visit for Pride weekend. Allowed to check in early. Lovely girl on reception who was friendly and helpful. Great room and real comfortable bed. Will be back in October.
Very helpful staff and very comfortable bed and great shower too and very clean room too and great checking too
Great central location, quiet, comfy stay - friendly staff
Comfy beds and friendly staff, but bathroom stunk (raw sewage smell) and the iron burned my clothes.
Another excellent stay at Motel One - No complaints about the hotel or the staff.
Ideal location
I was allowed to check in early which was very helpful.
Great hotel just opposite the railway station so perfect if you’re stopping off to do some sightseeing before catching the train to the airport. Professional staff, spotless rooms, decent breakfast and wonderful bar to contemplate the music culture of Manchester.
Went for breakfast a few minutes before 10am and was turned away as breakfast finishes at 10am. After pointing out it was not 10am still turned away which was appalling
