Much better than I expected. Great value for money. Large comfy and modern space.
I like the concept. Two minor things which didn’t work in Manchester: no Laphroig at the bar and it was impossible to adjust the shower temperature. Too hot water.
Hotel being situated five minute walk from Piccadilly Railway Station was very handy and just a 10 minute walk to Piccadilly Gardens and main Tram Stops. Rooms had everything you need and very clean. Would stay again. Staff friendly and helpful. If I had one criticism it would be bar prices, but no different from any other hotel chain prices.
I’ve stopped here on numerous occasions, the standard of service and hospitality are some of the reasons I keep returning, as well as its great location to the City centre.
Great location, very clean, staff were very friendly and breakfast was fresh and a really good choice
Good location for transport, quick and efficient check in and out, excellent value
Great room, a lot quieter than last time I stayed due to no tram noise. Breakfast - option of cornflakes with gluten would be good.
Very friendly staff, nice rooms, comfortable bed and lovely hot shower. Did take a bit of time to check in just after 3pm.
Location was very good. Room was small but comfortable. Unfortunately I could hear my neighbour snoring though.
Great location, lovely hotel shame about the breakfast. Lovely hotel, the only thing that spoils it is the charge of £15pp for a continental breakfast. We didn't bother and walked across the road and had pastry and coffee for quarter of the price.
Room was excellent clean no issues staff were lovely let me check in early- I will be back love my stay here
Great hotel, excellent location Staff very helpful Only a few flaws which we found in the room Only one socket near bed that worked out of two and the one that worked, you had nothing near to put anything on that needed the use of a socket Had to move a stool to put cpap machine on as no shelf, table or unit on righthand side of bed After being out finally went into the bathroom to discover that it had not been cleaned and found used tampon in the bin and the bathroom smelled awful but as it was after midnight we just went to sleep and left as soon as possible to use a bathroom that did not smell of fish and burnt pasta
This hotel was okay but I didn’t like the fact that i paid so much for the room just for it to only have tv channels and no HDMI in the TV to watch netflix or disney+ if i tried. The breakfast was also a let down, they didn’t have any scrambled eggs or beans but the hot chocolate was rlly nice. I liked the convenience of the key cards though. Would visit again but it wouldn’t be my first choice unfortunately.
Disappointing - bathroom smelt unpleasant and the facilities were poor. Breakfast was incredibly disappointing too.
Room next to elevators - noise all night long. General room is very cold, with air conditioning on all night to have heat in the room again - even more noise all night
Excellent, well-trained staff who were charming and chatty, even at 11pm! The hotel was clean and well designed. Bed had crisp bed linen. Good value for money and so I have flagged it to my family and friends as a great option when visiting Manchester.
Clean, cheap, and perfect location. Staff were extremely freindly and accomodated my request (for a quiet room on an upper floor) perfectly. This is where I always stay when passing throguh Manchester. it's been several years since my previous stay but still a great experience.
It was great. Just needed water in the room.
Ideally situated for station and attractions. The rooms were comfortable and was surprisingly pleased at how quiet they were. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
From the moment we arrived for check-in right through to check-out, the staff listened to us attentively and kindly. All the information was provided promptly and our room requests were fully met. I had asked for a small parcel to be delivered to the hotel and it was delivered straight away. Check-out was very quick and the luggage storage was practical and no-fuss. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back
Day staff are absolutely lovely. The night staff were so so rude. We returned from an even around midnight and asked for a large bottle of water at the bar. The woman ignored us for 5 mins and then began to serve us. The woman pulled out 2 large bottles and a man ran over and told us we were not allowed them. When we questioned why the woman told us they were “membership only” It’s water and we would be paying regardless. Both very rude afterwards.
Great location for Piccadilly station, lovely large reception and bar area, clean and modern. Rooms are clean and bright with excellent air conditioning and powerful showers. Lovely toiletries. Beds are super comfortable.
at the other motel one in manchester, i think that it is called the royal exchange, they have a different breakfast menu, i was expecting bacon and sausages, there was just a continental breakfast, i would have preferred the other choices at this hotel to, if i had known the breakfast was just this, i would have stayed at the royal exchange again, But poppy at the desk and the man who made the toffee banana cake were fabulous, also there was no safe in the room, i was expecting to keep my valuables nice and safe in there,
Most comfortable. Welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast.
Easy check in - friendly morning shift on the desk
Very handy for Piccadilly railway station and the city centre yet pleasantly quiet. Room and communal areas were up to the usual Motel One standard.
Rooms slightly dated but I had quite a large room and it was clean and satisfactory. Iron and ironing board available from reception. Pet peeve is not having a phone in the room to call reception and the TV being too old to stream music through, but still excellent value for money. If you're visiting and need a clean place to sleep and won't be spending endless time in the room, it's excellent value for money and perfectly located.
Nice reception and bar area Rooms dated and basic for price. Tidy but dusty bedroom - bedside/under tea coffee unit very dusty clearly not been wiped
Lovely hotel, clean, helpful staff, great location and good vfm would highly recommend
We were disappointed with the room and bathroom as it was very small. We have stayed at motel one in Glasgow before and the room was much bigger and nicer. We will not be paying £345 to stay here again for 2 nights.
Very clean and efficient. Nice room and very quiet. Love the easy access and extremely fast checking in.
Room was immaculate, bed was comfy. We didn't use the lounge bar but it looked really nice. Staff were very friendly and the blue sweets on the reception desk were lovely.
Gooood
The staff were so helpful and the room clean and comfortable
Your front desk people were fantastic. The towels are wonderful. The floor is a little hard, and the sheets are not as nice as the towels. However, we still love staying at your hotels. I would also like it if the Wi-Fi was password protected.
I stay at this Motel One often and particularly like its proximity to Piccadilly train station, the friendliness of its staff and its cleanliness. On this occasion I had no signal on my mobile in the room I was given initially, so had to request a different room. The member of staff I spoke to was very helpful and accommodating in finding me an alternative. The main negative comment I have is that there are not proper cups in the room. For a period there were Motel One special cups, which were a bit better than paper ones, but even those are no longer provided and it's back to paper ones. This is the only I've ever stayed in where proper cups are provided as standard.
I have stayed here 2 times now with my partner and its always very clean, good sized rooms, Nice bathroom and shower. Great price to stay for a short city break too. The downstairs bar and seating area is very relaxing atmosphere too after spending all day walking round nice to sit and enjoy a drink.
Motel One is my go-to venue in Manchester. Comfortable, clean and quiet rooms.
The room was lovely but the view was disappointing as it was a brick wall one a dirty roof so shut curtains so we didn’t have to look out
I arrived early to drop off my back pre- check in. Desk staff were available, friendly and helpful. When I came back in the afternoon to check in, again, the member of staff who dealt with me was professional, efficient and very helpful indeed. On this experience, as in all previous stays, I’d give your staff the highest rating - and they set the tone for the whole stay. Room clean, quiet and comfortable. What I like, in sum, about Motel One, is the smooth and efficient way things seem to work.
Friendly staff easy close to Station
I really liked granting my booking request of a room in a high floor away from the elevator. I couldn't wish for better room location getting the furthest one from the elevator in the top floor. On the room for improvement, considering the hotel class and the value for money, I'd greatly appreciate a mini fridge in the room, access to ironing equipment/room, gym ... etc.
Everything was perfect for our stay. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed. The bar area downstairs was really good too.
Very inviting lobby, lounge area. Great staff - friendly and helpful. Room good value.
I enjoyed the room and the bar was nice very good selection of drinks
I always stay in motel one when passing through Manchester. Very convenient and good value for money
Disappointing on check-in. Went yo room and it had not been cleaned!! Reported and rectified while I was out, but not a good start
Really enjoyed my stay, hotel was well presented and staff were friendly. Breakfast was lovely great base for our visit to Manchester.
Clean room. Comfortable bed. The only feedback I have is I would have liked some bottled water in the room. Having arrived late in the evening, I had to go back down to the bar to purchase water
The beds are so comfortable! It is worth a journey to Manchester just for a good night's sleep.
