Room was perfect: clean, the terrace was an added plus. Staff was super friendly and helpful
Great room, great view, clean and nice staff
Good atention at front desk. Decoration nice Problem air condicioner at room.
Very central anc clean hotel, staff very nice and parking available
Great Hotel in the city centre, 3 minutes walk to Plaza d' Espana, clean and staff is great
This was by far the best stay ever. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The staff help us with taxi, food ideas and everything else in between. The best staff yet at any hotel we have ever had.
Very good motel. Very friendly staff.
All good ; just one thing : we would have been happy to have a cofee machine and a boiling machine in our room.
The hall is very inviting and well-furnished. The room as well had all facilities, the only downpart was the lock from the inside, it didn't feel super safe. Everything else was spotless and clean I appreciated having gluten-free options for breakfast.
Excelent!!!
The location of the hotel is excellent. Rooms are tidy, bed very comfortable, breakfast tasty, staff friendly. Price is a bit high…
Central, clean and very cosy. With garage
Overall we were very happy with our stay. Fabulous location, spacious and clean rooms, nice modern hotel, staff were attentive and cool. Room had no kettle, tea or coffee or mini bar and just one shampoo/shower gel but that was ok by us. Cleanliness and comfort more important. However, given the cost of the accommodation I would have expected at least more facilities in the room. Also breakfast at €14.50 per person should have had more variety / options . Also the key cards failed twice for one of the rooms our adult children were staying in but it was resolved but this does not happen in other hotels.
Clean, modern. Breakfast OK - bit short on tables. Nice bar area. Rooms modern, clean.
Unfortunately there were very few option for a vegan breakfast. I understand cultural differences, but you have many international customers and given the high breakfast standards Motel One usually has, I was sad to be presented with fruit salad and two spreads as my only breakfast options.
Nice hotel, great service and good location
MotelOne is in a great location - close to Plaza de España but wonderfully quiet; mid-way between two Metro stations, both a short walk away; so close to Museo Cerralbo, Palacio Liria, Debod Temple - and so many other sites very close too. The staff were all so helpful with questions we had. The room was spacious and had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. Centrally located hotels in Madrid are expensive but I’d say MotelOne was good value for money.
The motel was well situated and the staff was excellent. That being said - as a habitual hotel goer I was disappointed to know that there was no water boiler or bags of coffee or tea in the rooms. There is also not enough irons and ironing boards to go around. I know a gym might be much but the place can either make a deal with the gym across the street or empty a room and have a makeshift gym. The breakfast price was reasonable but you could tell the food was reheated because it was so dry. The coffee machine made good coffee though. Keycard didn’t work. The electricity cut out a few times during my stay and the water could not stay hot for long with little pressure.
Good location and environment
The hotel was tidy, and the breakfast was quite pleasant. Air conditioning in the room ensures a comfortable stay. If I am in Madrid again, I will stay at your hotel once more.
Fantastic stay and superb team, a home away from home where you never feel alone. Special shoutout to Tania, the reception and f&b team!
Everything was excellent. This is the third Motel One I have stayed in and all have been better than anticipated. Great location, clean, great breakfast and more.
Everything was great and the best is the team! They are really nice and attentive and I have the impression that there is a good ambience in the team :)
Great hotel, great service, great location
We stayed for 3 nights (4 days) and it was excellent. The room was modern, spaceous and clean. The room was oriented to the street and restaurants, so there was some noise, but nothig serious. The location is great, very close to a metro station but we often walked to the center (about 15 min). Breakfast had a variety of food (vegan, gluten free) and was delicious. The staff was very helpful and always in a good mood. We had a parking place in a hotel garage (for an additional fee), which is a blessing in big cities in Spain (especially so close to the city center).
Great welcome, great room, great breakfast
Hi all, as usual very good stay, my favorite hotel in Moncloa/Aravaca/plaza de Espana area. The only issue was with extra breakfast being charged but receptionist Pia took care of it. All good, gracías, L.
In Madrid, we stayed twice. From 10 thru 18 Aug and again from 7 thru 9 Sep. Both stays were great. Excellent location and facilities. Walking distance to metro stations, shopping and dining. Hotel room is very good as well as the cafeteria. Best of all, your employees. Pía, Antonio, Lorenzo and all others. Reception, housekeeping, cafeteria. in fact, this is the third Motel One we have stayed in the last 3 years. Will come back...
We stayed two nights and the hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many points of interest. Rooms were clean and showers were great. Do complaints at all.
Such a lovely hotel!! It was my second time there and everything was perfect. I had a clean comfortable room in a great location with perfect buffet breakfast all at a reasonable price. Even the hairdryer was great. What more do you need?
Great stay made all the enjoyable by your staff. In particular Johansson in reception and Alvaro in the bar. Very professional and friendly, never too busy for a chat. Alvaro also has a great passion for his job and undoubtedly makes the best cocktails in Madrid, especially the Aperol Spritz.
Very nice hotel, close to Plaza Espanya. Breakfast was also very good.
Everything ok
Great location in the city centre. Didn’t tried breakfast (a little too expensive) but there are many options in the neighborhood. No need to use the subway: Madrid is really easy to visit walking 1/1,5 km for each destination from the hotel. Hotel’s parking is really small and difficult with a SW car. In the Princesa plaza there’s a big underground parking (€30/day)
Everithing was perfect, the check-in process, tje information given by the front desk team, the room, the breakfast...
Excellent stay. Very nice and professional staff. I highly recommend this hotel.
Outstanding check in Sergio on front desk.
Courteous, clean, helpful staff. Pleasant staff. Much better stay than we had in Barcelona. No nearby homeless. Breakfast buffet had most everything.
Madrids motel one compared to the other motel one we have stayed in was nice & clean & spacious.
perfect location
Staff is great, very helpful, knowledgeable and courthouse. Rooms very nice and clean. Hotel is well situated and the prices are reasonable.
Very comfortable bed. Spacious room. Excellent location
I was not able to sleep properly because it was so poorly soundproofed and it was always loud around our room. Bathroom was not very clean and moldy. I Like other Motel one Hotels mich more than Madrid! Also an E-Mail I wrote before my arrival was Never answered.
Excellent hotel!
What a great location. What wonderful spacious rooms! Different from the other Motel Ones we have stayed at. I was only very sad to see that the same hotel is now approx half the price if you book these days ahead (as where we have paid twice the price..we booked late last year). Location is at walking distance to most of the places we visited. I can recommend.
The hotel is an amazing location. The room is very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bed was more comfortable than I was expecting. The bathroom is also very spacious. If I needed to be in that area, I would stay there again. The breakfast was not my favorite because they do not have hot eggs. They only have hard boiled eggs that are not completely cooked. The staff was extremely helpful, polite, and friendly.
Everything went as expected. The staff was lovely!
Good location and staff. Regarding rooms - some rooms are connected with each other through locked door, which is common in many hotels. Problem is these doors are so thin, that I could hear every single word from the TV of my neighbours. I asked for the room to be changed and it was done. Also I think that some features are missing in a room considering it is a 4 star hotel - eg bottle of water, which you have to buy at the reception desk, or some tea / coffee. Breakfast was fine.
Motel One Madrid is in a good location near to Plaza de Espana. The staff are helpful and the rooms are comfortable. It’s a pretty good hotel. But… it just doesn’t have the feel of other Motel One hotels I have stayed in. The bar area is empty at night, the breakfast offering isn’t as good as in other Motel Ones and, perhaps most importantly, you can tell that this has been converted from another hotel brand - the corridors are very dark and decorated in purple and grey and some of the fixtures look old and tired. Overall, this was less good an experience as other Motel Ones. It’s not the staff’s fault - the hotel conversion / refurbishment should have included all the public areas as well as the bedrooms.
Switch on. beOne.

Madrid, the city that never sleeps
Discover the Spanish capital - Your hotel in Madrid
Have you heard of the city that never sleeps? Of course you have. Who hasn't heard of New York? But hang on, who said we’re talking about New York? We mean Madrid. The exuberant Spanish capital needs just as little sleep as the Big Apple – entirely in keeping with the motto ‘Madrid nunca duerme’. Its historic streets are bustling from early in the morning until late at night. And it’s not just the many rustic tapas bars that are busy. The tablaos, Madrid’s cultural heart, are also buzzing with activity. It’s no wonder that these traditional dance clubs are considered to be the home of flamenco. Since the early 19th century, these venues have brought together the best features of this Andalusian dance style – from rhythmic guitar solos to bright red dresses and the atmospheric sound of castanets. And after a night of flamenco in Madrid, you definitely won’t be in a hurry to return to your hotel. Because the city that never sleeps has more to offer than music and dance: be it breakfast in the impressive Plaza Mayor, a selfie in front of the Royal Palace or a spot of leisurely window shopping along the Gran Vía – there’s a bit of everything in Spain’s cultural metropolis.

Madrid, the architectural treasure trove
Madrid’s architecture is second to none. It boasts a host of historical gems, such as those at Puerta del Sol, for example, which is one of the Spanish capital’s most famous sites. Whether you approach it from the north, south, east or west, this square welcomes visitors from all directions with its stately architecture, making it the perfect place for a magical New Year’s Eve. Because as the clock strikes midnight, this charming square is transformed into a minor extravaganza for the legendary Doce Uvas. But even more architectural treasures await on the Gran Vía. Madrid’s 1,300-metre-long main avenue meanders proudly through the city. It’s no wonder that more than 10 million visitors walk along it every year. It’s definitely earned its affectionate nickname of ‘Madrid’s Great Way’. Seen enough of Madrid’s Great Way? How about taking a short breather in the Parque del Retiro? Right next to the Museo Reina Sofía, this beautiful spot invites you to unwind and relax – in an area that covers a whopping 1.43 square kilometres. The centrepiece of this stately park is the crescent-shaped monument to Alfonso XII, which depicts the former ruler gracefully enthroned upon his great horse.
Football fans take note: Madrid also has an architectural highlight in store for you. Royalty honour us with their presence at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. But we’re not talking about Spanish royalty, of course. We mean Real Madrid. Be it nerve-racking Champions League matches, heart-wrenchingly close league games or European Cup thrillers – this famous turf has witnessed a great deal of action. In 1964, it even saw Spain become European champions. Speaking of royalty: Spain’s actual royal palace is also worth a visit. This baroque building in the heart of Madrid, better known as the Palacio Real, attracts visitors from around the world. But they’re not only impressed with the artistically decorated façade of this masterpiece, built in 1751. They also marvel at its majestic interior décor. Its elegant, Cinderella-style ballrooms, the Royal Chapel and Hall of Mirrors are the stuff of childhood dreams.

Culture lovers in particular will appreciate the central location of the hotel. In just a few minutes, you can enjoy Madrid’s cultural scene. How about a tour of Spanish and Italian art history, for example? At Museo del Prado, affectionately known as ‘Prado’, artistic masters stand shoulder to shoulder – from Diego Velázquez to Francisco de Goya and Sandro Botticelli.
Looking for a touch of America in the middle of Madrid? Not a problem, because the Museo de América bridges the distance with flying colours. Its over 25,000 relics transport you straight to North and South America. Music lovers can get their kicks at Teatro Real, a magnificent 19th-century opera house that is easily accessible from your hotel – whether on foot or by bus and train.
What a day! You return to your hotel with lots of precious memories. But just before reaching the lobby, your tummy suddenly rumbles. No wonder. After all, cultural highlights will certainly help you work up an appetite. So it’s a good job that the city’s culinary scene is right outside the design hotel.
