Everything is good and perfect. I like this place and near to the underground station. I only have a little bit of problem on the water temperature controller in the bathroom as it keeps rotating to higher temperature, hence I need to constantly to turn it back to the lower temperature to avoid of getting burn. I believe and I hope this only happened on my room that I was staying specifically.
Had a comfy night sleep the staff were very friendly and more than happy to help I would definitely stay again
Very good
lovely friendly staff, room was available early so was allowed to check in straight away, which was a god send saving from carry bags around. room was clean and fresh. the bed was comfy, cozy room. would have appreciated vanity mirror by the desk. in the morning check out was easy and being able to check bags in was once again a god send and allowed me to enjoy the day in london. Overall stay stay at great price.
Excellent room and service
The room was clean and the temperature was easily controlled. The bathroom was a disappointment. Water was flowing freely out from the cistern when I entered the room. Had to press the buttons a few times to stop the flow. The extraction fan did not work. A shower steamed it badly
Would really elevate my experience if there were bins in the room, tissue paper, smart TV, fridge, basic amenities.
Check in at reception is taken too much time. Staff says it is the slow system. Hotel room fairly expensive for a no frills hotel. Heating in the room was not working. I staid at the hotel many times and there is a tendency that the hotel is getting worse.
I know it’s really petty, but it has to be said. The rooms are small, with no storage for your clothes and nowhere to put your suitcase, so you are effectively living out of your bag for the duration. The curtains do not block daylight effectively, and the walls are paper-thin, allowing noise to pass between rooms. Unfortunately, our keycards failed every day, and again, unfortunately, the desk staff, although very helpful, were not well-trained and lacked experience.
Great location and a consistent hotel. Clean and well presented with comfy beds and plenty of hot water.
I couldn’t have asked for a better stay and indeed, the guests staying on the booking with me also mentioned to me, “Good job on finding the hotel; it’s a great place!” This has been my third time staying in a MotelOne, though my first time in the London branch. The staff were fantastic, warm, friendly and helpful; the room was cosy and immaculate with everything you need, and the location was brilliant - safe, great transport links, and pf course, on the doorstep of the Tower of London!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bigger than we expected. Shower was great, mint shower wash lovely. So relaxing after a crazy day in London,to just sit and relax in the bar/lounge. Would definitely stay again
I had a wonderful 5 day stay, great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.
Everything worked well, room was clean and tidy, reception efficient all good
Brilliant service. Was able to check in early thanks to the staff as I called ahead to advise them I was coming from completing the 3 peaks challenge and completing the tallest stair run in London to raise money for RNLI. The room was clean, airy and had everything we needed. Great location in London and easily accessible. The only criticism I would give would be the breakfast is very limited, no eggs, bacon, sausages. A bit of feedback would be perhaps having USB ports in the room as well as plugs.
Friendly staff, we got our room earlier which helped us immensely. Hotel was very clean and room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was continental and plenty of choice. Enjoyed our stay very much.
As always, price-value is very good. Front desk staff was very friendly as always. I did greatly appreciate to check in at 10 am already. - The only minus point was that no iron & board was available the first two times asking, i.e. I could only iron my shirts on the 2nd day.
Excellent but do you have option of thinner pillows ?
The service is superb. The team has accommodated my request for a room at higher floor, without hesitation. I had a great stay. I will book again in the future as I was there already many times already since I have no reasons to look anywhere else. Top service, thank you!
Absolutely horrendous night sleep, supposed to be a double bed, it was two singles pushed together. When I went down and spoke to reception they was very rude and said there’s nothing they can do
Amazing location Staff very friendly Helped moved rooms when there was a sink issue and bar in hotel is open late and very nice to sit, relax, chat and have a nice drink, not expensive either!
Pleasant stay and very friendly staff. It was a little annoying that the thermostat didn’t work properly, which made our room quite humid. Otherwise all good! The location is simply unbeatable (5 minute walk to Tower Bridge)!
Lovely place to stay. Very comfortable room and modern.
Great hotel and location. Friendly staff. We had one issue with noise from an adjoining room at 3:30 in the morning, loud music and singing. I complained to the night reception team who sorted it, it took 2 attempts as the guests were persistent. Your team delt with it in a quick and professional manner. However I do think that the hotel should have a 'Quiet Time' from around 11pm to 8 am as is the case in many hotels and on even the most basic campsites.
I am a member of your beOne program where you should get a free water. Since we are asked to book via our company platform and not directly, this however does not work. This is a bit disappointing and in case of really great service this should not make a difference. Comes across somehow burocratic...
Staff should turn much bigger attention to the cleaning of the rooms, especially the toilet. The toilet seat was dirty underneath and disgustingly yellow. And when we entered to the room (1000) there was a strong unpleasant body odor in the room. I never experienced it in Motel Ones. This stay was a serious disappointment due to the cleanliness.
Always met by friendly staff, rooms always found to be clean and tidy and fairly priced. Always a pleasant experience
Stayed overnight for a meeting nearby and definitely value for money in this area. Staff excellent, room very clean and functional. Bathroom and general area also very clean and the bar staff in the evening very professional and friendly. I will be making this my go to place when in the area again.
Ideal location, helpful staff, and great rooms
2nd time staying here, very clean and comfortable
Solid hotel - good quality to price ratio for London. Lovely staff. There can be a long wait time at the bar especially when the bar is unattended when all the staff are at check in.
Good location, relatively new hotel with clean and functional rooms with perfectly adequate infrastructure.
Our stay was pleasant and comfortable, and the staff were kind and professional.
Great location, staff really friendly, room good, great breakfast
Always a pleasure to stay at your hotel. Very clean, excellent service and well located.
Excellent hotel, the staff were all extremely friendly. The atmosphere in the hotel was really pleasant. Decent bedroom sizes and overall a good visit. Two small areas is that there is no cupboard space, which makes life with a big suitcase a bit tricky and the pillows were not great. However, we were really happy with the hotel and would certainly stay there again.
Excellent location, room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. However, there was a strange smell upon entry that we got used to. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Very convenient. Reception staff was a little rude explaining that I had to pay and glancing at my husband instead of directing responses back to me, I did not appreciate that service.
Such good value - clean welcoming with a great ambience and everything you need for a pleasant stay.
Excellent Hotel for Business- or Citytrip
A very good experience again, have been in this hotel often before. Only the check-in was less friendly than usual, the colleague was a bit confused it seemed.
The hotel was functional
Reception team are always great, as is the check in experience, the rooms are starting to feel a little tired.
Missing a proper chair in the room to sit at the desk Missing ironing equipment in the room Very good with EU-sockets 120V in the rooms
Great stay with Motel One once more, from check-in through to departure. Customer service from the front desk team was excellent once more and extremely helpful over the weekend of our reservation > thank you to all of the team at Motel One !!
Everything is good with the light under the door and noise from the central air. The TV software had clearly never been tested on the public as it is the least user friendly thing I've had the pleasure of interacting with as it's slow and most of the buttons do anything. The fireplace seems like it's stuck, the channels take ages to load, you can't connect via HDMI, and the instructions on screen don't give you the outcome you are looking for.
Staff were really helpful as I needed to check in early and were able to confirm that my room was in fact already for me. This was a great help to me on the day. The checking in process was easy and the room modern and clean. The only thing missing was any bottles of water in the room.
Been there many times. Most of them I enjoyed a great stay, but not this time. As long year guest in this hotel and because of my long stay this time, 10 night, I requested a certain room (they got at least 16 of them) type with my booking. I didn't get one of these. Instead were squeezed in a "standard" room (12.04). As there no closets we had to store some luggage on the small table in the room. It further took them 3 days to change the duvets from a large one to two single duvets. This was also a request in our booking already. So the stay here this time was rather disappointing.
Fresh, clean hotel & rooms. Good location for east side of city. Staff were excellent - friendly & helpful. Rooms are compact. If you travelled with a large suitcase there’s no space to open it other than on the bed.
More and more expensive eaxh time, I will look for alternatives next time
Reception at check-in hardly made an effort to communicate with me. During check-in I asked an iron and iron board and when I the next day unwittingly started to iron, my shirt was full of yellow stains and grime. When I told reception what happened, again hardly any response. I'm quite sure the same iron will ruin another person's clothes the next day. Motel One rooms, ammenities, and pricing is good, especially for business travel. But this experience was really below par.

Budget Design Hotels in London – your Motel One
While staying in London, you really should use the public transport system, which can be an adventure of its own. As well as the iconic tube trains, a trip on a double-decker bus makes for an interesting journey.
Our Design Hotel is close to one of the city’s best known sights, Tower Bridge. This is undoubtedly the most striking bridge on the Thames, with ornate twin towers that are a key part of the cityscape, and make a great photo. The Tower of London, which gives the bridge its name, is directly adjacent and best known for its imposing shape. Once inside you can view the Crown Jewels, visit the medieval palace or attend one of the frequent special events. If you’re back to your hotel in time for tea, you can treat yourself to a proper cuppa in our cosy One Lounge. What else can we offer?
Big Ben, the London Eye and Madame Tussauds – symbols of a global metropolis
Well, following along the Thames, you eventually come to another distinguishing feature of the London skyline, the tower housing Big Ben. One of the best-known symbols of the city, this 96 metre high edifice looms majestically over the Thames. Although the name “Big Ben” properly refers only to the bell of the Elizabeth Tower, it is commonly used to refer to the entire tower complex at Westminster Palace.
The Tower is only accessible to UK residents. Cross the Thames at Westminster Bridge to visit the London Eye, at 135m still Europe’s largest Ferris wheel, offering fantastic views of “Big Ben” and the whole London area. Other popular sights include Madame Tussauds wax museum, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square and the Globe Theatre.
