Location location location and friendly customer service. Absolutely the best choice if you are participating at an event at Koelnmesse.
Great location and great staff!
Booking was complicated. Instead of three nights at once, I only had one night reserved, and had to return daily to the desk to enhance my stay for another night.
There was a mixup with the person in the breakfast area. He couldnt find out wether I had booked breakfast so I left without eating
Nice hotel. With motel one, you always consistently get the same. It‘s not fancy, but it‘s always a good slightly above average standard. This time, unfortunately, it was too cold at night. The airco was not able to heat the room enough.
clean, great atmosphere, friendly staff .. a great stay
I really enjoyed my stay at your hotel and appreciated the service overall. However, I would like to bring up one concern. On the day of my departure, I accidentally left an item on my bed — a pair of white pants in a plastic bag. I called the same day to ask about it and was advised to send an email, which I did. Unfortunately, after three days I had not received a response. When I followed up by phone, I was only told that the item had not been found so far and that the housekeeping team was very busy. I completely understand that things can get hectic, but I would greatly appreciate if someone could check again and confirm whether my item has been located.

i don't understand why the TV has to turn on EVERY TIME you enter the room, it is so annoying. otherwise solid motel one quality.

Very nice and adequate hotel. Uncomplicated and quick check-in and check-out, very easy to find the way around. The rooms were quite small, but nothing I would mention as a deficit! - instead, very appropriate, actually. An own bathroom with a shower, a TV in front of the bed and a big window with non-see-through curtains. Also, I personally really value cleanliness and, therefore, was so happy to see how well executed that was. It made me feel very comfortable. I can’t really say much about the lounge and bar, as we haven’t found the time to use it. All in all Motel One gave us everything that one could ask for in the short stay we had and the atmosphere supported the feel of relaxation and the process of slowing down a bit, especially after a longe travel. Amazing, adequate, would recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Motel One Koeln Messe.The location was central and perfect for our short stay in and around Cologne.The breakfast was varied, a little overpriced.It would have been nice to have a few more options for dining out nearby suggested, since the Hotel doesn't have a restaurant.Other than that, can't fault it and looking forward to our next stay!
I was a little disappointed with the breakfast. It lacks of hot meals. In a Hotel like this, I would have loved to have a smart TV and being able to connect to my streaming applications.
Perfect in all areas
The hotel was nice. Location was great for train users. The room was clean. Unfortunately, the room was too small. Secondly, there was no mini fridge to keep your own items in. Additionally, no kettle or tea/coffee was provided (which all hotels and motels now provide). Good value for money but was expecting more.
I stay frequently at Motel One Köln-Deutz and as always everything was perfect and I am looking forward to my next visit!

Really nice hotel, nice bar and super location geographically. The breakfast is always very various and delicious. This time I got a room for disabled persons. It was huge, just the sink wasn't that high.
Air conditioning in the room was not working. No possibility to open the window, which led to very poor air quality. The bathroom had a weird smell to it, and since the air conditioning did not work and no window could be opened, this scent unfortunately remained during the stay.

The guy at the night reception on the 18th December was super rude and not helpful at all. Even though I have checked in online and had the name of my girlfriend mentioned in the booking he still made so much trouble to her getting into the room before me since my flight was delayed. Windows could not be opened in the room and the room equipment was rather basic. Furthermore, I was not able to use my breakfast voucher either. Overall rather disappointing I have to admit

The room was very clean although small. The location was excellent next to the train station. Very modern and comfortable hotel. It would be a nice touch to have a kettle and tea bags for guest to have a cup of tea in the room.

Why is it so beautiful by the Rhine? Because we’ve now also got a design hotel on the eastern side of the river in Cologne. With the Motel One Cologne-Waidmarkt, Cologne-Neumarkt and Cologne-Mediapark, we already have hotels in the northern and southern parts of Cologne’s old town and right in the city centre.
The best connection in Cologne
Our Cologne-Messe hotel, in the centre of the Deutz neighbourhood, is located in the direct vicinity of the Koelnmesse trade fair centre, LANXESS arena and the Tanzbrunnen Köln outdoor events space. Thanks to its convenient location, it’s the perfect accommodation for anyone on a business trip to Cologne’s trade fair centre. But it’s also great for anyone visiting the city on the Rhine for concerts or other cultural events; it’s just a hop, skip and a jump across the bridge to the city centre from our Cologne-Messe hotel in Deutz. The hotel is located in close proximity to the Köln Messe/Deutz train station; from there, it takes just a few minutes with the S-Bahn train to reach the other side of the Rhine. Or you could always stroll across the river using the Hohenzollern Bridge. Cologne’s old town awaits you on the other side, where you’ll find attractions such as the Cologne Cathedral, the Museum Ludwig, the Roman-Germanic Museum and – not to be missed – the Chocolate Museum.
If you’re just here for a stopover and need to continue your journey or head to Cologne’s surrounding areas, Köln Hauptbahnhof, Cologne’s main station, is nearby. Cologne Bonn airport is also close and can be reached by public transport in less than half an hour.
