Very friendly staff and beautiful hotel at a great price.
Very nice hotel for the price, especially consider Ing a great location - next to metro and train, though I used the room only to sleep and shower. Breakfast is a bit lackluster - nothing warm to eat. Very friendly staff, I highly recommend
very pleasant and efficient
Perfect hotel and staff. Only thing that bothered me was the ventilation and black out curtain missing
it was a really nice stay in Amsterdam. Good location, close to the city centre but not in the mess, stuff and else we perfect, I would definitely stay here again! the only thing that was really annoying me was that the room felt a bit cold, and we couldn’t warm it up using the air conditioner.
Stayed for 5 nights. Wonderful experience, outstanding service from the reception. Always there to help with a smile. Totally will recommend this Motel
Great location. Very clean and tidy. Great service.
Great location by the conference centre RAI and train/metro station. Good breakfast with variety. Friendly staff and confortable and clean bedrooms
Great place to stay and extremely friendly and helpful staff!
We enjoyed our stay the staff were fantastic included the housekeepers. Very clean & quiet. One improvement is changing some of the breakfast chairs and room chairs they are uncomfortable for working at.
Great location, great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff and clean and tidy rooms. Can’t recommend enough.
Beautiful hotel (why only 3 stars?), both in the common areas and in the room. Excellent cleanliness. Eco-friendly. The only downside: it’s not possible to adjust the room temperature, because — as far as I understood — the hotel uses an eco-sustainability and controlled air circulation system. Personally, I felt a bit cold. The hotel is very close to the metro (Europaplein station): you can reach Rokin station in just 5 minutes.
Overall a good stay — clean, modern, and comfortable. The only drawback was the lack of a cupboard or proper storage space. My special thanks to Antonio and Kasha for taking extra care of my special needs.
Very enjoyable. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Location was great. Rooms were clean, tidy, modern. Breakfast included plenty of tasty options. Only slight criticism is that the room was warmer than I would like, and the temperature controls didn't seem to have much of an effect.
Clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. Excellent and helpful staff. Room was a bit tight as there was only one chair and not much space for luggage..
Beautiful hotel, but for the price I would have expected better amenities in the room.
Everything perfect. Not a 10 because no safe in the room.
Nice , clean room, good shower, excellent breakfast great location for conference at RAI, metro nearby
Brekfas can be beter
We really enjoyed our stay at Motel One. We were only able to spend one night, but I would stay again and highly recommend it. The staff was very personable and gave us a map of the area and suggestions for meals.
Good location and pleasant rooms. Comfortable beds and lovely white towels. Would have loved a kettle in the room!
Great hotel, I haven't stayed in a bad Motel One yet. I usually look to see if there is one wherever I'm travelling to because then I'm never disappointed. Clean, comfortable, great staff, little but out of the centre but the train station is over the road and there's also a tram stop 2 mins walk away. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel itself is nice, well located and has friendly helpful staff. I felt the rooms were a bit too small for a couple sharing and the bed was two singles joined together rather than a proper ‘double bed’. The breakfast was nice but I generally expect a hot food option when paying for breakfast. Overall it’s a nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay.
Great place ! Unfortunately, although the room price was significantly increased for the marathon weekend, we were not allowed to take a shower before driving back home (400km). The narrow-minded attitude of the reception manager was quiet disappointing.
Overall, the stay was disappointing considering the price range. The room was quite small, and the bed wasn’t even made upon arrival. It faced other apartments directly, and with only blackout curtains, you had to choose between complete darkness or being visible to neighbors. The curtains also didn’t fully block the daylight, making the room quite bright in the morning. Breakfast was not included and costs €16 per person, which feels expensive given the overall experience. The decor felt basic, with rough-textured walls that looked dated, more like a standard apartment than a hotel. The toilet was not separated from the bathroom, which is inconvenient for a double room. There was no minibar or even a complimentary bottle of water, and water at the bar was €9 per liter — which seems excessive at this price level. The lobby was overcrowded and very noisy during breakfast, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. Overall, the experience did not match the rate charged, which is closer to a 4-star price range than the actual service provided.
The stay was good, I think the breakfast was a bit sparse. I would have liked to see scrambled eggs and some hot savory options such as bacon or sausage.
Great service, comfortable room, convenient location and hearty breakfast.
Room is nice, but compared to other hotels in the region a bit at the highend compared to m2/prijs and available amnities. Not all teammembers seem to enjoy their job, while others are over enthousiastic. For a Dutch hotel I have not come across anybody that speaks dutch.
Nice clean room. We wish there was complimentary coffee for guests in the lobby
Excellent hotel with a perfect location near the metro, train stations, and the RAI Convention Center. It is ideal for RAI conference attendees. Highly recommend!
Excellent location for sightseeing in central Amsterdam. Room upgrade very much appreciated. Breakfast was excellent too. Staff very helpful.
Could do with a kettle in the room. Very minimslistic Otherwise no other issues; very clean and with very friendly staff.
IT was very quiet in the room (5th floor to the street), nice.
Great location, friendly staff, clean room, nice decorations. Only downsides that the room is maybe 2 squaremeters too small and need something to put your suitcase on at the floor.
Lovely hotel, friendly, helpfull staff would definitely recommend
Whoever was at reception for my check in (8th October about 3pm a young lady) was wonderful! Breakfast superb
Excellent service, interior design and location. No TV channels available because of storm damage, but we were served free cocktails as compensation!
Nice hotel close to the center of Amsterdam. Very quiet, at least in rooms facing the backyard. The same level of service and friendliness as in every Motel One we’ve been. My wife has had a minor accident visiting a museum and the reception staff helped us with advice about doctors and ice packs to relieve the swelling. The only drawback is the relatively small breakfast area. One day it was impossible to find an empty table and we had to wait for a while. When we could accommodate the staff started to take away dishes because it was already closing time.
Nice staff and hotel. Rooms very small.
Motel one was great from the moment we walked in the friendly staff I had spoken to Larissa very helpful and great to talk to the check in procedure was quick and answered all the questions well done ur a star we will defo be back soon
Excellent
Motel One is clean, tastefully decorated, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The only flaw is the staff, too rigid and inattentive to guests' needs. At 9:50, they didn't let me have breakfast, even though I wanted to pay because they said they'd close at 10. They invited me to find an outside bar even though I had my 6-year-old daughter and it was windy and pouring rain outside. It was my choice to pay for 10 minutes. I felt rejected. Furthermore, the staff gave conflicting information about the cost of breakfast for the child, and I believe I paid more than I should have. A real shame.
A bit a small room - yet we booked the cheapest, so, I do not think we can complain. Clean. Easy check-in and check-out. Left the luggage for the whole day there- well organised. Took breakfast ad hoc - good breakfast including good coffee machines.
Modern hotel with friendly helpful staff. Have stayed in other Motel One hotels and would have no hesitation in staying again.
Everything is great, location, rooms, reception. The price/quality is great.
It was a very nice hotel. Only thing i missed in breakfast was having scrambled eggs.
Excellent staff on réception
Hotel location perfect, kindness of staff, room conditions excellent and value for money. A good representative of Motel One chain!

Amsterdam can transform itself from one street to the next, and a single wander can show you winding alleyways, dreamy houseboats, monumental squares and the notorious red-light district. Just a short break here is enough to get a taste. For a weekend get-away or city break of unparalleled relaxation, nothing beats this ever-changing port city. Although relatively compact, Amsterdam entertains millions of visitors every year, proving size isn’t everything.
Budget Design Hotels in Amsterdam – your Motel One
Urban canals, history-laden sights and world-class museums make Amsterdam unique. The network of “grachten” that intersects Amsterdam comprises 165 canals with a total length of 100 km. And did you know that about 8,000 bikes get fished out of the canals every year!
The Kingdom of the Netherlands’s capital boasts multitudinous coffee shops, attracting a mainly international crowd. And if you’re looking for the best in international night-life, the urbane and lively scene round the Leidseplein or Rembrandtplein has plenty to satisfy. Cafés, bars, and clubs hosting international stars and DJs are ten a penny.
Amsterdam’s Canal District was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2010. The grachten provide an unforgettable way to tour the city. If you're in the mood for a bit of exercise, you can brave the waters in a pedalo, or for a lazier conveyance, take a guided boat tour. There are even more spectacular options on hand: the “Floating Dutchman” amphibious vehicle will roll through the streets then float you right on to the canals.
One day in Amsterdam: Amstelpark, Damplatz and the Anne Frank House
Canal highlights include the “Golden Bend”, the 15 bridges between Reguliersgracht and Herengracht, and the picturesquely illuminated “Skinny Bridge”. The locals have a definite affinity for the water, as demonstrated by the houseboats lining the banks.
If you’re looking for a spot of greenery during your visit to Amsterdam, Our Design Hotel is handy for the Amstelpark, the expansive grounds of which receive nearly a million visitors a year and include a rhododendron garden, maze and Japanese-style garden – a perfect setting for a relaxing stroll.
History and art is also of course well represented. Three of the country’s most important sites – the Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum and Het Rembrandthuis museum are nearby. Dam Square is a bustling hub of Amsterdam’s diverse metropolis, but also has an interesting history, and is lined with impressive architecture.
