Motel One Group

The Munich-based company was founded in 2000 and currently operates 101 hotels with 28,544 rooms.

The brand Motel One offers a unique combination of high-quality interiors, exclusive design, excellent service and outstanding city centre locations at attractive prices. As the founder and pioneer of the budget design concept, we focus on continued further development.

The Cloud One Hotels

The Motel One Group presented its new lifestyle brand The Cloud One Hotels with the opening of its first hotel in New York City in 2022. Building on the key success factors of Motel One, The Cloud One Hotels pays special attention to three core elements: individuality, sustainability and experience. And this is just the beginning of the journey. The locations in New York, Hamburg, Nuremberg and Dusseldorf will be followed by Lisbon and Chicago.

For the 9th time, Motel One has received the ‘Most Wanted Investment Partner 2025’ award from TREUGAST Solutions Group, one of the leading hotel consulting companies in the German-speaking world. Motel One is also frontrunner in 2025 with its AAA ranking.

New buildings

Our new building project Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz is the largest Motel One hotel (708 rooms) and just one example of numerous new building projects. It stands out on account of its special location right on Alexanderplatz.

Listed buildings

Motel One Vienna-Staatsoper is an example of a conversion of a listed property from the 19th/20th century.

Mixed-use properties

Motel One Berlin-Potsdamer Platz is integrated into the Mall of Berlin on Leipziger Platz, directly opposite the German Bundesrat (Federal Council).

Conversions of existing properties

The best example of a successful conversion is the Motel One in the historic post office building in Zurich city centre.

Rebranding of existing hotels

Motel One Copenhagen is a perfect example of a rebranding of an existing hotel. It meets our location and product requirements and was easily integrated into our portfolio.
