Everything is fine, but I would prefer no carpeted floor in the room.

Amazing Hotel and location within Berlin. I stayed at Motel One in Amsterdam before and seriously this Hotel doesn’t disappoint. I would always opt for Motel One in any city where available.

Nice as always. Very disappointing that late check out was not possible even though I asked for it when booking the room. I would have booked a different hotel if I had know what that. Kudos to the housekeeping manager. She was extremely kind and helpful.
Great staff and welcoming
I had a fantastic stay here! The receptionists were very professional and helpful – they arranged an early check-in and even upgraded me to a beautiful room for my birthday. The bar was also a highlight, with a great atmosphere and a stunning view. A perfect choice that made my birthday truly unforgettable!

The location is great and the hotel has a nice decor. The room was a bit small but clean and prefect for an overnighter. The portraits of strangers hung over our bed were a bit creepy. We never got the welcome bottle of water that was promised for members. I'd prefer a couple of glasses instead of the disposable paper cups. Tea/coffee facilities would be nice, but instead of a Nespresso machine in every room why not offer (members) one free hot drink? As there were no tea/coffee facilities we ordered coffee in the lounge. They said they had a milk supply issue that morning and that they couldn't make Espresso coffee at that time which was disappointing. However, they kindly offered to bring us a coffee from the automated machine in the breakfast room. When we got our coffees I asked to pay right away as we were in a hurry. The waiter said "Let me check if you even have to pay..." and disappeared. I thought it to be a nice gesture since we didn't get our Espresso coffees. Unfortunately, the guy never returned and as there were no waiters in the lounge I approached the lady at the entrance of the breakfast room who promptly charged us for the drinks.
My room was on floor 9, right below the breakfast room and the kitchen. There was always someone who moved furniture at night and I was wide awake at least 3 times per night. The bare minimum of a hotel is to provide a place to sleep and the room did not do that. I had a very important business meeting in Berlin and was so tired the entire time and not able to focus as well as I should have. I will not choose this hotel again, particularly not for business travel and I am so upset that tjis hotel ruined this business opportunity for me. Don't rent out a room if you know that your staff is moving furniture the entire time and ig you can't provide the bare minimum

Love. Incredible value. Two small wishes: 1) the sheets and pillowcases are scratchy. 2) give me conditioner. But I’d stay there again, so clean and quiet and comfy. Great value!
I have stayed at this property several times and always enjoyed it. However this time there was a serious problem with the air conditioning which was not working. This made the room uncomfortable during the day and very uncomfortable during the night. This was very unfortunate as otherwise the hotel is great.
The location and views are excellent. The room is comfortable, though quite small. Even if my room was just above the bar terrace, it was well soundproofed. The bar is too crowded and it's impossible to dine quietly there. Anyway, there was some control at the entrance of the hotel on the busiest days, so that only guests had access, and this seemed an improvement with respect to some reviews I had read before. In any case, the guests who want to have a drink in a quiet place, like me, have to look for other options outside the hotel. The staff is friendly, especially the cleaning service. They do a very good job and I don’t understand some complaints that I have read online.
• Exceptionally clean and a great atmosphere. • Comfortable bed and nice room. • Very friendly, professional and helpful staff, especially on the Reception Desk. • Good location. • Good breakfast choice * * Breakfast did not include any hot food and this would have been nice. • There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. All in all, staying at this hotel was a good experience. The only real negative point for me was when I noted dogs in the hotel.

Positive: Great location, everything is easily accessible. The view is fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Negative: The breakfast room and bar are small compared to the number of rooms. You have to hunt for a seat. The TV is slow and outdated.

Noisy staff at evening, atmosphere is more street festival than a hotel bar. Room was nice but the smallest in on the floor (14.21) due to some shaft, not ideal for two persons, one members.

We liked it a lot. The central location, the friendliness of the staff and the style in the rooms were very convincing to us.
The security at the entrance has to be fair to all - either he checks each and everyone of us and DENY the entry if someone NOT staying in the hotel OR he should let everyone in (to go the 10th floor). When I saw 2 young "scantily clad ladies" posing in the lift taking selfies and definitely thought the 18th floor was the rooftop, i knew they weren't guests in the hotel. Whereas on the ground floor while waiting for friends, another lady and her mom were denied entry cos they were not guests there. Frankly speaking, just look at some of the clientele at the rooftop bar in the night - it didn't look like they stayed in the hotel. So my suggestion is, non-hotel guests should buy a limited number of ticket to enter the rooftop bar and should only be allowed to 10th floor and nowhere else. I don't like seeing non-guests taking pics or roaming around on other floors. My only complaint about breakfast : Why is there NO scrambled eggs for breakfast? As I don't eat salami (either pork or poultry), i wish there is an alternative like fish. The front desks as well as all other support teams in the hotel (room cleaners, bartenders, breakfast makers, etc) are very helpful and courteous. Even the security is courteous. He just have to be fair to all and firmed.
When I entered the room first time, one hair was on the toilet cover. I asked only one time during my 5 nights stay, I found one hair on the bathroom wall after they cleaned my room. I hated it, of course. Also, I wish there was more space in the shower room to put my facial soap and others. However, all the staff were very nice, so my stay was good over all.

Really unhappy with the customer service and the experience we had at the reception. After getting the keys and going up to the room, we heard sounds from the room and could not open the door. We thought the sound is coming from other rooms and still tried to open the door. Upon opening the door we encountered two people having sex in our room!! We went down and informed the receptionist, he did not apologize and said it must have been the system or something else and gave us another room. I find his attitude very problematic, he could have at least apologized let alone offering us something as a sign of good will and good customer service. He acted as if walking in people’s room having sex is normal and ok in a hotel, I wonder what those people think and if they felt safe afterwards having someone opening their door. Adding to that, when checking in at the beginning he asked my name and I had to repeat it 3 times for him to understand (I don't have a European last name) and then asking my partners name (German last name) he said it would have been easier if it was under their name and not mine and he thought he is being funny! Very disrespectful and problematic! I would not book Motel one again and would not recommend it to any one else, such a shame! Thanks, Sahar Shamssharif
I have been Upper West many times. I enjoy coming back through the years! The breakfast and room just the way I like it. No complaints.
Excellent location, clean rooms, and generally friendly staff. However, one aspect that was entirely unacceptable was the rooftop terrace – which had been prominently advertised. The bar area was consistently understaffed or appeared to be poorly managed. Wait times for placing orders – and for those orders to be delivered – routinely exceeded ten minutes. Additionally, large portions of the terrace were often closed off with the explanation that there was not enough staff available. The terrace also lacked basic amenities such as sun umbrellas, making it extremely uncomfortable to sit there under direct sunlight. Another disappointing aspect: in the evening, guests are met at the main entrance by a sort of bouncer, tasked with screening external visitors. This creates an unwelcoming atmosphere – especially when the staff member is seen smoking and casually chatting with friends, acquaintances, or relatives.

Everyone, from the reception team to housekeeping, was helpful and friendly. I’d like to thank Michelle in particular for her genuinely warm smile. The terrace experience also added great value. As a guest who frequently chooses your properties, I want to share something in a friendly spirit and without naming anyone: while the terrace bar staff were generally very friendly, one of them (whose name I won’t mention) behaved noticeably coldly each of the four evenings I visited. I don’t like to be prejudiced about such things, but after four visits you can be sure. I don’t want to single them out and create a negative experience for them, but I think you’ll be able to guess who it is. It’s clear they need a bit more training and orientation. Other than that, everything was as it should be.

Room and the bed was great. Reducing a couple of points because the TV screenshare didn't work in my room and the room is quite cramped (small).
The hotel chose a wonderful room on the top floor for us. The staff at the reception desk was proficient, always friendly and helpful. The location of the property is great with easy access to public transportation at the Bahnhof Zoo.

Jeg kan ikke lige den måde jeres dør mænd ikke stoler på hvad man svarer når de spørger om man skal på rooftop bar og man så siger nej og de så forsætter med at spørger hvad man så skal Jeg svarer at jeg har et værelse og de så ikke stoler på hvad man siger og skal se nøglekort før de er tilfreds :-(
Dejligt hotel perfekt beliggenhed 😍
Altid en dejlig oplevelse af bo på Upper-West. Valgte at betale for en opgradering, og værelset var rigtig dejligt med rigtig god udsigt. Jeg havde fødselsdag dagen før ankomst, og fik en gratis drink i gave, dette var meget betænktsomt af jer <3 Eneste minus var at den side af sengen jeg valgte at benytte, var meget blød og jeg derfor ikke lå så godt, og så tror jeg ikke at det nogensinde er lykkes mig at få AC til at virke, så dette må gerne forbedres, så man kan slå den til. Alt i alt et dejligt ophold, og jeg kommer gerne igen.
