Excellent location, very friendly.helpful staff, attention to detail, relaxing, clean, nicely decorated room, very comfortable bed and lots of choice at breakfast.
Friendly staff comfy beds and bar until 2 am, so usefull if you have gone to a show. Very clean hotel and bedroom
The quality of service is very good, the rooms are clean and all expected amenities are to hand. What is poor, unfortunately, is that the rooms are claustrophobic with very little desk space to work or stretch arms out in. Particularly poor is the breakfast as it is only a bare minimum continental with cheap provisions (horrible coffee) in a dark room with only a handful of proper tables and chairs to sit up at. Please look at Travelodge to see how a far better breakfast experience can be done despite being economy. Though the room bathrooms are modern, clean, bright and provide everything one needs - they are *cold*.
Lovely stay, nice room, lovely bar area, breakfast looked great. Only issue I had was that I was given conflicting information about check out time. Otherwise great.
Lovely warm welcome from Maria and T at reception…couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful… room was clean and nicely decorated, bed very comfortable and location excellent. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel.
From the welcome at reception to the room, all was great. We enjoyed the bar too - and the prices there were reasonable.
Our first time in this Motel One and good to report that it is typical of the brand. Very nice and efficient staff on reception. Perfect check in experience. The hotel looks great. A completely usual Motel One room. That's a compliment. So far a perfect 10. Visited the bar around 23.00 after a busy evening and the two points were deducted. Almost no beer left! No German bier at all! Had to drink UK brewed Heineken. The bar keeper explained that there had been a football match the day before and they hadn't yet restocked. Wow. That must have been a surprise to everyone, a football match in Manchester? Please try harder. Manchester is a city full of hotels.
Better this time, although I would have hoped for a room upgrade being my second stay with the hotel.
A large water leak happened from the washroom into the bedroom. The leak seemed to have come under the wall between the bed and the bathroom. So behind the sink maybe, but the floor inside the bedroom aside my bed was soaking wet and a large puddle was visible.
Nonsense price/quality performance. Amazing experience. In the center of Manchester, with so warming and helpful people, a hotel that feels more expensive than what you paid. Very happy, I will repeat and I will search for in other cities!
Lovely hotel and perfect location
Great welcome at the reception, room spotless and bar area really lovely. Thankyou.
Comfortable beds and friendly staff.
Clean bedrooms however wasn’t keen on the paper cups for hot drinks but can always bring my own mug in the future. Bed was super comfy and hotel is located in a good area. This was my second visit and I will be back again when I’m next in Manchester.
Cosy, comfy and clean room. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. The price is very good. The location is perfect for the town centre and the AO arena. Situated next to St Peters Square and the frequency of the trams made it even better.
Was in prime location for the theatre would stay again
This is the second time i have stayed here and the room has been absolutely freezing and the AC is very slow to heat up. Also, neither my kettle or TV worked in the morning!
Fantastic location, and a very warm welcome. The obly thing I can deduct one point for is the room was quite small. But it was very well designed, clean and comfortable. Would happily stay again
Spacious room, clean, modern, beautiful decor and friendly/approachable staff
Room clean and comfortable, as expected. Online check-in pointless as had to check-in at desk anyway. App check-in also incredibly tedious. A very restricted selection of food at breakfast for plant based diets and so hard to justify the cost.
The central location makes it a perfect place to stay in central Manchester with excellent transport options. Motel One St Peters Square is very comfortable, extremely quiet and with efficient and friendly staff. The beds are super too. I always stay here and it is always a lovely experience.
Arrived early to drop bags and lady on the front desk was very helpful After checking in properly later, I found that I had been charged an extra £59. I spoke to a man at the desk who was unsure what had happened (and he spoke to one of the ladies on the desk for her advice who was also unsure) but was keen to get it resolved. They spoke to the lady who had checked me, who quickly was quite defensive and insisted that it was just the payment from the original booking coming out, even though I was able to show that it was a different amount and completely separate transaction to my initial booking, and also took place prior to me even checking in that day. The gentleman and other lady weren’t able to fully determine the cause but said they would speak to reservations as they believed it was related to that in some way and said it would be 5-7 days to be refunded, which I understand is out of their control and was glad that they were able to find a solution (and the money was returned less than 24hrs after being taken in any case) When I checked in it was just to put luggage in my room before going out again for the evening. When I returned I found that there was only one bin in the room which was in the bathroom, rather than having one in the bathroom and one near the tea/coffee facilities in the room, which would be useful. I also found that the toilet brush had been left in the toilet, whilst this was easily resolved, it is something housekeeping staff should have noticed. The room in general was excellent, clean and very comfy bed with plenty of sockets. Having stayed at this hotel before on multiple occasions, the experience was not up to the same standards as previous, however the majority of staff I interacted with were fantastic.
Always amazing from start to finish. I love the bar, it's so cosy and the best beds ever....I was gutted it was only for a night, I could have easily stayed a week lol
Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely use this hotel again as location so good and facilities all that you need. USB port in the room would be very useful and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work very well but very minor things really and absolutely no complaints. Will look forward to using the chain again and have already recommended to others.
Fantastic room, very comfy bed!
I always stay here when I can. I think the room door lock wasn’t working and reported it on leaving. I like to take breakfast here though find it a bit expensive. Otherwise, this would be the hotel of choice when in Manchester.
Just the best M1 hotel in Manchester and likely the whole chain the front desk just amazing! And thank you!
Rooms are small but have what you need.
From the moment we arrived in reception to the morning we had to extend our stay because of flight cancellations the reception staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful The same applies to the “Breakfast team, really excellent.
Very good stay. It was tricky to find the entrance as my taxi dropped me off on the other side of the building - a sign with an arrow towards the entrance would have been helpful. Good vegan choices for breakfast eg vegan cheese and hummus. A hot option would have been nice eg scrambled tofu
I was met by a lovely lady on reception, she said I had a choice of 2 rooms for different floors , I told I didn't mind but the nicest one please as I was having a treat night away from home as I am my porrly mother's main carer . She gave me a little cheeky upgrade. A lovely room and a lovely bed ,I actually stayed asleep until 9am . Thank you
Nice rooms, lovely staff.
Rooms were very small and beds uncomfortable. The bathroom was the smallest i have ever seen in a hotel and the shower floor squeaked when standing in it.
Room too cold and couldn't warm up sufficiently. Minimal bedlinen
Lovely staff, good continental breakfast, comfy bar area, nice room, clean and functional but also stylish and comfortable.
Great price, location, rooms, and staff. Cracking value for money!
Always consistent room however additional USB sockets wold prove useful
Best lounge in the city and friendly staff. Pillows aren't very supportive, ended up only using the blue cushions at night. Comfy bed and great shower though. Demba was really efficient and friendly at check in.
Great hotel with a lovely comfortable king bed in a good size clean room. Staff were very friendly and helpful at checkin and out. Ideally located in the city centre.
We always use this hotel when we attend events at The Palace, Opera House or Bridgewater Hall, all within a 10 minute walk. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with a good range of facilities. The staff are super polite and helpful. Exceptional value for money and easy to book through their website, which matches prices found on other booking sites.
Great stay as always!
Excellent as usual
Very nice hotel
A high quality hotel available at budget cost. Impressed with the quality of the room and staff were ultra polite and helpful. They let us leave our bags behind at the end of the stay and were always smiling and hospitable.
Very nice hotel, clean, good value for money. Nice lounge area to relax in. All staff are professional, courteous and deliver excellent customer service.
Really enjoyed my 2 night stay. The bar was cosy, reasonably priced and served excellent cocktails. The continental style breakfast had a very good selection of cereals, fruits, pastries, fresh bread etc and tasty coffee. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotlessly clean. My only slight difficulty was that the room was a bit too cold even when the thermostat was turned up. I would definitely stay in a Motel One again.
I had to Change my Booking and it was easy, arrived on the revised date, Check in easy, Room Ready and Clean, Perfect size for an overnight or two, had a little bit of difficulty with the room temperature and operating the air con
Clean room provided with everything necessary for one's stay. Decent breakfast and friendly staff, and overall good value for money.
Lovely, stylish bar and reception area. Functional but comfortable rooms with very plump pillows which were much appreciated. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location and good value.
Excellent location, friendly staff, everything you could want in a city centre hotel including reasonable price.
