Excellent stay.
Hotel was great for a short stay and in a very good location, staff very chatty on check in, bathroom could use with more storage as not everyone travels light
As always seamless check in, spotless room & helpful staff
My usual stay at Motel One has been great; however, this time, I believe the room I had been given was at fault, as the bathroom door would not shut properly.
Super helpful staff
Service was great - lovely reception lady and bar staff; but let down by lack of control of rowdy customers at 3am.
Excellent hotel. Great location. Very clean. Every member of staff I met went out of their way to help me and to ensure I had a comfortable stay. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Would 100% recommend and would stay here again very happily.
Everything as I normally enjoy but surprised that there was no first aid kit. Unfortunately I gashed my elbow very badly and need a bandage but all that was available was 2 plasters.
Excellent service by the staff. Especially Mo, Michel and Fatima who in turn made any effort to make our stay plesent
Excellent as always
Excellent location, nice clean room, friendly staff
My home from home. Always feel welcome and Fatima and Ginevra are brilliant and so efficient. Always a pleasure to stay.
Really enjoyed my stay at Motel One, comfortable bed and room in general, staff were friendly and I was happy to receive a bottle of sparkling water when I arrived, the only thing that could have improved my stay would have been having a bath in the bathroom!
Every thing was perfect , location ,service, city centre but quite at the same time
Ginevre did the best to accommodate my partner and I, with the room we wanted
I sent your hotel an email outlining my disappointment along with photos of the filthy towel given to me as 'clean' and I've had nothing back, other than the email prompting me to leave a review.
Great location and clean comfortable rooms at a very affordable price.
Lovely hotel, pleasant staff, and nice comfortable room, only issue was parking access was a bit of a nightmare, but would stay again
The room was clean and quality furnishings, Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. The only disappointing factor was the room was too warm and the air-conditioning did not go any lower than 19 degrees. I woke several times in the night but didn't want to have to walk to reception in my pajamas in the middle of the night to report it as I had no other way of contacting them.
Only issue was that we were asked for our room number and subsequently paid extra £14 each for a basic continental breakfast, which didn't bother us as we couldn't recall if we booked for B&B, until many others came down for breakfast and weren't asked for their room numbers.
This hotel is right in the heart of Manchester, easy to reach on foot from the train station. Really welcoming lobby with staff with a smile. Very easy check in process, given a lovely cold bottle of water for the room. The room was easily accessible, albeit compact it had everything you needed. Clean and fresh with tea, coffee in the room. Fluffy white towels and a fresh clean bathroom. A small window with no view but that was not an issue. Altogether this is a lovely hotel and I would definitely stay here again.
Excellent stay - prime location and very clean and comfortable with great breakfast
Had a lovely stay, staff were helpful and room excellent. Thought the ability to park in hotel was brilliant if a bit pricey. Only negative comment was queue to check in but otherwise loved our stay
What an amazing place to stay. Greta location Great breakfast A d such amazingly friendly staff. Such a pleasure to stay there. Defiantly coming back
Staff were amazing and really helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
Brilliant location, prompt check in,room was clean and comfortable
We were given a room that is ideal for people with special needs. I understand that it was designed differently but that wasn't I was expecting at all. I struggled with it. The flush was spraying all over and no lid on it to cover. Wash basins too low that my hand were almost touching the sink.. not a great experience. No wardrobe or even a drawer In the room to keep my stuff. It was just an okay stay. I might not be choosing that again unless the amenities are better than before.
Lovely weekend with family from London
great hotel and the price is about right, however a glass or cup in the room to go with the bottled water given at reception would help and get rid of the stained plastic cups in the rooms they are awful. Apart from those small gripes would recommend as great location for shopping and Arena
We had a very pleasant stay and Ginevra at the check in desk was a delight to talk to, so welcoming and warm, it made us feel so well received, thank you!
Staff very friendly on arrival and departure, lovely room, ideal base for our walk to AO Arena to watch Peter Kay
Basic room, far too hot, plastic cups for hot drinks. Very expensive for what it is. Dirty carpets
Good location, clean room & friendly staff but breakfast food quality is bellow average
Very clean hotel, the decor and style is beautiful. Great location and literally 10 minutes walk from the Train stations, We WILL be staying again, Thankyou
Room was set up for 1 person on arrival when it had been booked for 2. Was supposed to have late check out until 3 which was organized months in advance and told the night before had to leave before 2pm. On day of check out key cards stopped working at 12 despite late checkout. Housekeeping said she couldn't let me in to room despite the fact I had mobility needs and could clearly see I had a walking stick!
Good friendly staff and service
Excellent location. Clean, comfortable , great atmosphere. Excellent breakfast.
Excellent x
friendly staff, nice room, efficient check in and check out
Comfortable hotel, clean rooms and a good nights sleep - Only point I would add is would be nice to have a bath!
Great location, great for its price, just some slightly annoying things but overall a great stay
Check in staff were very helpful and friendly, I was able to check in early which was a big relief before a busy work meeting. Room was clean, tidy, hair dryer was high quality, and most importantly the room was quiet too!
Great value for money at £66 for such a central location. Check-in was quick and easy, thanks to a gentleman with strong Scottish accent who was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again
5 th stay at Motel One Manchester. Would never stay anywhere else. Special shout out to Ginevra and Micheal on reception who were super Helpful and lovely
Good stay. Ginevra on reception was friendly, efficient & helpful on check-in. Thanks.
Room clean. Spacious and breakfast outstanding.
Maid came in the room at 10 when check out is at 12 and we had our door locked.
excellent value, clean and tidy will use you again !
Excellent locatioon, a very comfy room with modern furniture and a superb shower, and I really liked that it is a hotel that is aware of environmental sustainability. Without a doubt what I liked most was the hotel staff, who were extremely friendly, efficient and professional. I am especially grateful to Ginevra.
Always stay in a Motel one when never possible .... Arrived at noon ...asked us to return at 1.00 as room not ready as they were upgrading us due to previous bookings ...1.00pm room still not ready ...returned 2.30 and initially we had a room on the fifth floor now it was the sixth and it at the back of the hotel ...furthest away from reception....woke at five in the morning due to he binmen and bottle collectors ....bathroom door swung outwards to the bed restricted .....how's was this upgrade ..

Location and surroundings
Hotel Manchester Royal Exchange
Our Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange is designed with a trendy faux-industrial look in memory of Manchester’s golden era when it was known as “Cottonopolis”: all about cotton as a raw material and its processing. The foyer is dominated by six-metre high round steel arches and a wall of printed cloth, as a foretaste of our theme. Furniture by Baxter and hanging lamps by Alturo Alvarez are complemented by details such as spools of thread and spinning machines.
The main eye-catcher is a wall installation entitled "Cottonopolis" by paper artist Andy Singleton, composed entirely of shapes cast by innumerable single threads.
Our affordable hotel is situated right opposite the Royal Exchange Theatre in the very heart of Manchester. The Town Hall, Manchester Cathedral, Manchester Arena and the Manchester Central Convention Complex are within walking distance, and both Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly stations are within easy reach.
Visit us in Manchester and find out about the centre of the cotton trade.

Cool Cotton
Classic British furniture, paper sculptures and more will transport you to "Cottonopolis" - 19th century Manchester.

Cutting Edge
Paper artist Andy Singleton has proven a steady hand for Motel One Manchester-Royal.
