In Ulm, we’re shouting about the opening of our first hotel from the rooftops – or rather from the large carillon at the Abt department store: our Motel One is located directly on Münsterplatz. The over 100-year-old department store has an impressive exterior that features an old carillon clock made from Meissen porcelain. It plays Swabian songs five times a day during summer and Christmas melodies in winter.
Inside our hotel, Ulm’s most famous resident – Albert Einstein – welcomes you with a quote about his hometown, to which he was extremely attached: “…we also owe part of our being to our birthplace. So I look on Ulm with gratitude, as it combines noble artistic tradition with a simple and healthy way of being.” If you would also like to experience what makes Ulm so special, then check in and enjoy a stroll in and around Ulm!
