Really pleased with motel1. Everything was clean and breathable.
We were delighted with everything: nice rooms, fine breakfeast, kind and helpful staff and a lovely place. It could be a little bit closer to the center, but the price-quality rate is fair enough.
Excellent
I had a very pleasant stay. Everything was perfectly arranged. I'd especially like to thank Momo and Rafael: they were extremely friendly and helpful, and made my stay extra pleasant. Their hospitality and professionalism deserve a huge compliment. I highly recommend this accommodation and would love to return.
Very competent and friendly staff. Especially M. Roland did run a perfect breakfast service with great organisation, charm and friendliness. Great value for the price, Metro station in walking distance.
Great facilities, great service and a really friendly staff team.
War alle super
Excellent 👌
Amazing breakfast, tastefully decorated, attentive staff. If you are tight on time the distance to most points of interest is a 30min Uber drive. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
Your team was very nice and the room nice and clean as expected. However, the room it self and where it was located in the building was below your standard Looking into the highway is just a bit much.
Gutes City Hotel
Of course you'll never print this, but it is my opinion and you asked for it: I hope they'll never dare change a single item here. Like the butterflies on the carpets where you leave the elevator. And my room, all compressed efficiency and simplicity without feeling small. I had no chairs and no table: this is no place for work. No noise either except the airco humming softly, I turned it off before going to sleep. The ongoing heat wave kept outside. Excellent buffet breakfast. Impressive lounge with daring modern design. Cool underground parking for the car. Too easy to find: driving clockwise on the Périférique, twenty metres on your right past the exit Porte Dorée. Keep all this to yourself! Here is un p'tit coin d'paradis.
A lovely hotel, friendly staff. Unfortunately there wasn't any parking left at the hotel or any near the hotel so we had to park 20 min walk away, so with having to carry our bags wasn't ideal. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.. We got a voucher for 4 free bottles of water for the next day which was nice.
Alles top.
It was great and the best hotel I’ve stayed in Paris also the room was cleaned every day which was really nice also
Disappointing Check-In Experience Despite Completed Online Pre Check-In: Although I had completed the online pre check-in and provided all personal details in advance, my reservation could not be found at reception upon arrival. I even presented the confirmation of the completed pre check-in, yet the process still took a considerable amount of time before I received the key card for the room. Frankly, I struggle to understand the purpose of offering an online pre check-in if, at the hotel, guests are still required to go through a full check-in procedure, including ID verification and reservation lookup—even for prepaid bookings. By contrast, I had a much smoother and more professional experience at Motel One in Zurich, where the reception handled everything efficiently. Sadly, the service at this location was disappointing. A shame, considering the usually high standards of the Motel One chain. On a positive note, the room was impeccably clean and well maintained, which I truly appreciated. However, the cocktails at the bar were underwhelming, lacking both flavor and presentation. Breakfast was also far from enjoyable—finding a table felt like a competition, and the setup led to significant crowding, as all the food stations were placed on one side of the room. This created a bottleneck and made the whole experience feel rushed and stressful.
I loved the terrace where I was able to have breakfast with my dog
Nice place, very good breakfast, friendly staff, convenient private parking if needed, rooms are quiet and super clean but a little small and lacking small tables to hold the suitcases and may be a few more shelves to hold toiletries in the bathroom? I understand French and English but I am totally lost with German. However, I received a few information emails in German that I could not understand at all...
Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful, yet far from the city center, offering all the amenities you need. The room is a bit small and has no refrigerator or phone to contact reception, but it's nice and very clean. Breakfast is plentiful. I love the design. I will definitely be back.
I am absolutely impressed of the excellent service, cleanliness. The room, very nice, comfortable. The buffet breakfast, perfect. I still don't understand why it is called "motel" instead of Hotel. The architectural design of the building itself, very nice. Modern. The staff — most friendly staff ever. Always with a big smile. Love it. I recommended it 100%
Motel One is our go-to hotel chain. Always great quality and friendliness at a fair price.
Nice looking hotel, clean and stylish rooms, quiet area.
Everything was as always expected in a MotelOne. We regret that there were no scrambled eggs, fried bacon, or mushrooms for breakfast. (Had that always at Campus Munich) The breakfast buffet was otherwise very extensive, but all the food was cold.
Very clean, friendly staff. Easy to navigate using the metro. Bed very comfortable and quiet. Safe area. Limited space for luggage
I like to get a room as far away from the lift as possible. This time I was next to the laundry room, where the shelves creaked early in the morning and I had to put earplugs in. That apart, it was fine, as usual. I have stayed over 60 nights here. The location is wonderful in the summer.
The stay at Motel One Paris Porte Doree was great. The room was very clean, the staff was super friendly and the location was very close to the metro. Breakfast was super tasty and offered a nice variety. We enjoyed our stay a lot.
Super nice, super clean! I liked it alot
The hotel was very accommodating in changing the reservation at short notice. A problem with the room safe was resolved by friendly reception staff. Once again motel one did not disappoint either for value or location.
I am avid lover of the Motel One brand, my experience at Motel One Paris (Porte Dorée) was not the typical Motel One experience I tend to have. The hotel was very warm/hot. (1) The air conditioning unit in my room 755 was not functioning properly. I went to the help on two separate occasions to report this problem and they came to the room to say that it was the coldest it was going to get. So I literally sweat the whole weekend in the room. It was actually cooler outside than inside the hotel. (2) This Motel One does not have the typical drink menu that you find at other Motel Ones so when I requested my favorite Motel One drink the staff was not sure how to make it. And since it was not a drip they offer, they would have to charge for each part of the drink separately.
I find the hotel very pleasant, well decorated, the bed was very comfortable.
Personnel accueillant; excellente situation, chambres confortables
Comfortable, quiet room at a very reasonable price. Excellent breakfast. Well-located near to Metro station. Good neighbourhood.
Staff was excellent, nice and fast Rooms where great
The hotel is close to public transit. The staff were very friendly and professional
Breakfast could be better.
I have stayed here before and always love it. However these days it was quite warm outside and the A/C wasn't working well in my room. I've felt really unwell and luckily the staff helped out perfectly and offered a different room. This was better.
Very comfortable bed. Delicious coffee and breakfast.
nice location, friendly personell, well equipped rooms, USB charger did not work, I checked in online and hoped I could cancel the room cleaning via the online formular, that did not work, shower head was not working nicely (or water pressure was not sufficient)
I like staying at a Motel One hotel . The product is consistent and they have everything I need, except one thing. Depending n the location of the Motel One it may not matter. However the inability to get a hot drink in the morning without taking a breakfast package is a big minus. Often there might be somewhere close by, but in many locations there is not. On that basis I probably would not chose the Motel One at Porte Doree for a future stay.
Great place to stay in Paris - all the comfort, cleanliness and reliability of a MotelOne in a fantastic location with outdoor bar seating on edge of Bois de Vincennes (don't be put off by the périphérique road - you can't hear it and it's in a deep cutting) but steps away from Porte Dorée métro as well Tram. Friendly helpful staff at reception and on bar.
nice modern hotel , friendly reception and late late check in . friendly bar staff .clean fresh room, comfortable bed and hot shower. great price for Paris in May. near Metro for access all Paris. Recommend here for great value
All the employees I have met were very kind and helpful. I'm pleased to stay in your hotel.
Close to the Route peripherique. Breakfast is perfect. Clean and silent room. Small but for a short stay ok. Nice people at the reception.
Everything was great, besides a scratch on the TV.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the best experience in a Motel One. The guy at the check-in was complaining that he doesn’t get enough vacation. The dishes at the breakfast weren’t always clean. Many team members didn’t seem happy or enjoying their work.
Overall excellent experience with one critique, the patio area was not cleaned of empty glasses and bottles often, and the bar does not have Averna Armano or other digestive in this category.
Beautiful rooms and lobby, outstanding staff. Perfect!
the reason why it doesn't receive a 10 from my side is that the room was way too hot and the AC wouldn't be turned on until the beginning of May. opening the window wasn't really an option either as out room was located right next to the highway, which is super noisy with open windows. for the last day of our stay we received a different room on the other side of the building and a breakfast voucher. The staff was very nice and helpful and apart from being next to a highway the location is very convenient in a nice neighborhood, close to public transports
I booked this hotel because of the parking space. But when I got there was no parking space. It took me an hour to park the car. Because the places they advised me were also fully packed. I had to park 30 minutes away and take a taxi the next day. Don’t advertise with parking spaces you don’t have.
everything very good. thank you the staff

Urban Jungle Vibes
Experience the unique urban jungle atmosphere in our Motel One Paris-Porte Dorée.
Hotel Paris Porte Dorée
Bienvenue à Paris! Where the French capital's urban flair intersects with the beloved city park Bois de Vincennes, our design hotel offers the ideal starting point for urban explorers, nature enthusiasts, globetrotters and business travellers alike. The lobby’s design is inspired by the surroundings, greeting you with a vibrant lighting concept comprising Ingo Maurer Butterfly and Flatterby lights and suspended dragonfly chandeliers by Damien Langlois-Meurinne.
The animal theme continues in the design hotel’s reception area. A collage-filled 3D installation by Paris-based street artist Madame Moustache featuring two large elephants sets the scene, complementing the authentic shabby-chic Parisian reception desk. Suspended porcelain lamps by Tobias Grau round off the aesthetic, making the reception area a true delight for design connoisseurs.
These impressions are seamlessly reflected in our rooms, as well: directly above the faux-leather headboard, Madame Moustache creates a romantic, dreamy motif that incorporates the coolness of Parisian street art, establishing a holistic connection between city and nature.
And when you sink into our comfortable box-spring beds, you too will think, ‘La vie est belle!’
After a relaxing night, you can look forward to an extensive breakfast buffet and other nature-inspired/urban designs. The authentic design concept also includes cosy Freifrau and Baxter chairs, arty tables by Draenert and a faceted, mirrored wall.
Visit the bar of our affordable design hotel to feel like you’re in an old French salon. Abstract Forestier chandeliers, a leather-upholstered counter front with classic diamond stitching and extensive wall panelling made of mirror pieces capture the characteristic atmosphere of a French salon.
By the way: thanks to its excellent location in the 12th arrondissement, our design hotel is the ideal starting point for exploring the city. From Gare de Lyon or the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower, all of the most important sights are within easy reach.
A different side of Paris: explore the Bois de Vincennes!
The city park next to our Motel One is three times as large as New York’s Central Park and is a popular getaway spot for Parisians looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Here’s what you shouldn’t miss:

A row boat ride at sunset

A quick trip to Asia

A feast for the eyes and the ears
