Our hotel Berlin-Spittelmarkt

Just saying...
At the reception, you are greeted by a traditional Berlin advertising pillar – first invented by the Berlin printer Ernst Litfaß in 1854 to prevent unsolicited advertising at that time. Just an interesting titbit of information for... the bar or your next pub quiz maybe?

Cosy hotspot
Pst…a little insider tip: with its big sofas and classic egg chair, our cosy One Lounge is a great place to sit and read. Journalists are always said to nab the best spots – but at Motel One, every guest always gets a front-row seat.

B(l)ackground
Pops of colour and the soft, velvety material of the different individually selected bar stools add an elegant but cosy touch to the pared-back style. An exposed industrial ceiling painted in black shows off every detail and, paired with the atmospheric lighting, gives our bar a unique charm.

Collage Art
Artwork in a matching style also enjoys a place at the Spittelmarkt hotel; the lobby is home to pieces by artist Ines Kouidis. She assembles countless paper shreds from newspapers and glossy magazines to create portraits. Marlene Dietrich, John F. Kennedy and David Bowie are all honoured in our hotel – after all, they all had a special connection to Berlin.
