Participants and participation

The prize draw is open to all individuals over the age of 18 who are registered for the beOne membership programme. This excludes employees of Motel One and their relatives. Only one entry per person is permitted for prize draws. Failure to comply with any of the rules will lead to the exclusion of the participant from the prize draw. Similarly, any attempted manipulation will result in exclusion from the prize draw.

Promotional period and benefits 

The promotion starts on 1 December 2024 at 12:01 am and ends on 29 December 2024 at 11:59 pm.

The closing date for prize draws is always 11:59 pm on the respective day.

Participants can take part by completing the entry form on the website and clicking on ‘Enter now’. Participation in the prize draw requires beOne membership at the time of the draw.

Prizes vary and are shown in greater detail on the respective prize draw details page.

In addition to the changing prize draws, there is also a main prize draw every day. Anyone who completes and submits the entry form on the website will be entered into the draw. Participation in the prize draw requires beOne membership at the time of the draw. Participants can enter into the main draw once a day. Each entry adds one ticket to the prize draw. The main prize comprises: 

• A one-year Motel One package, consisting of
  • 12 vouchers for a Motel One of your choice for a two-night stay each with a companion, including breakfast.
  • The vouchers are valid from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025, excluding event and trade fair periods.
  • The vouchers cannot be redeemed consecutively at the same hotel.

Winners will be selected at random from among the entries. The winners will be contacted by email within seven days of the prize draw. Prizes will then be sent by post.

To claim their prize, winners must declare their acceptance to Motel One within 72 hours and submit all data required for issuing the prizes. The prize cannot be changed or redeemed for cash. Prize claims are not transferable.

The following applies to discounted prices:
The voucher is valid for seven days from the date of issue for the travel period 1 January 2025–28 February 2025. Only available online at motel-one.com and in the beOne app by entering the code given on the website. Enter the voucher code in the ‘Complete Booking 3/3’ step of the booking process. Cannot be combined with other vouchers. Only bookable for the location shown on the respective day. If there are several Motel One hotels in one location, the voucher can be used for all hotels. The Cloud One hotels are excluded from the promotion.

The following applies to drinks vouchers:
Offer valid on the respective day of issue. Exclusively for beOne members who can provide evidence of an active booking at a Motel One in Germany or Austria on the day of issue, with the booking made via their beOne profile. Can only be redeemed once per member.

Disclaimer/changes to the terms and conditions of participation

Motel One assumes no liability for the availability of the Motel One website. Motel One assumes no liability for any potential transmission errors.

Early termination and changes to the promotion

Motel One reserves the right to terminate or change the promotion without prior notice at any time if the correct implementation of the prize draw cannot be guaranteed for technical or other reasons or if the fairness of the prize draw appears to have been compromised. Participants will not derive any claims from such events.

Other provisions

There shall be no recourse to legal action. Participants shall have no enforceable claims to prizes, discounted prices, drinks vouchers or redemption thereof in cash. These eligibility requirements and the entire legal relationship between the participant and Motel One are governed exclusively by German law. Should individual clauses of the eligibility requirements be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses will remain unaffected.

Final clause

This prize draw is not affiliated with Instagram. It is in no way sponsored, supported or organised by Instagram. Any information submitted by participants is received not by Instagram but by Motel One. All submitted information is used for the sole purpose of conducting the prize draw. The participants release Instagram from any liability that may result from claims arising from the prize draw (in particular, its publication and organisation). Any questions, comments or complaints about the prize draws shall be directed to Motel One and not Instagram.

Purpose and scope of data processing and legal basis

Data on user behaviour is collected on the website and in the app to carry out the promotion. The IP and device ID of visitors are also stored. This data is processed for analysis purposes. Such anonymised data is no longer considered personal data.

For the purpose of running prize draws, the controller collects and stores participants’ names and other personal data provided by participants on the prize draw form. After the winners are selected, they will also be asked to provide their address, which will be processed for the purpose of sending their prizes to them. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 (b) GDPR, as the data is required to fulfil a contract with the participants. 

Disclosure to third parties

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties. 

Duration of storage

All data is deleted within 90 days of the end of the promotion.
