Giveaway: The world's smallest Motel One
Participants and participation
The contest is open to all individuals over the age of 18 who are permanent residents of the EU, UK or Switzerland. This excludes employees of Motel One and their relatives. Failure to comply with any of the rules will lead to the exclusion of the participant from the contest. Similarly, any attempted manipulation shall result in exclusion from the contest.
Contest period and prizes
The giveaway starts on May 5, 2026 and ends on May 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
To participate, a photo or video must be taken in or at the Motel One OMR booth (“the world’s smallest Motel One”), shared in your Instagram Story using the hashtag #myMOstage, and @motel_one must be tagged. In addition, participants must follow the Instagram account @motel_one.
Participation in the giveaway requires explicit acceptance of these terms and conditions. By publishing a corresponding Instagram Story, participants acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
Content containing offensive language, as well as content that is discriminatory, racist, harmful to minors, or negatively references individuals or companies, is excluded from participation.
Three winners will each receive:
- Two nights in a double room at a Motel One of their choice, including breakfast
- As well as a SIXT voucher worth EUR 150 for travel to and from their stay*
*The vouchers will be provided by SIXT once the winners have been determined and are valid for 12 months from that date. Winners must select a country of rental within four weeks after the draw so that the corresponding voucher for the selected country can be issued and sent. Available rental countries are: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, France, Benelux, the United Kingdom, and the USA.
The winners will be randomly chosen from all entries.
To be entitled to their prize, the winners must declare their acceptance to Motel One within 72 hours and submit all data required for announcing the winner. The prize cannot be changed nor redeemed for cash. Prize claims are not transferable.
Disclaimer / changes to the conditions of participation
Motel One assumes no liability for the availability of the Motel One website. Motel One assumes no liability for any potential transmission errors.
Premature termination of and changes to the contest
Motel One reserves the right to terminate or change the contest without prior notice at any time if the correct implementation of the contest cannot be guaranteed for technical or other reasons or if the fairness of the contest appears to have been compromised. The participants shall not derive any claims from such events.
Other provisions
There shall be no recourse to legal action. The participants shall have no enforceable claims to the prize or redemption thereof in cash. These eligibility requirements and the entire legal relationship between the participant and Motel One are governed exclusively by German law. Should individual clauses of the eligibility requirements be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining clauses shall remain unaffected.
Final clause
This contest is not affiliated with Meta or the OMR Festival. It is in no way sponsored, supported or organised by Meta or the OMR Festival. Any information submitted by participants is received not by Instagram or the OMR Festival but by Motel One. All submitted information is used for the sole purpose of conducting the contest. The participants release Meta and the OMR Festival from any liability that may result from claims arising from the contest (in particular, its publication and organisation). Any questions, comments or complaints about the contests shall be directed to Motel One.

- Purpose and scope of data processing and legal basis
For the purpose of running the contest, the controller collects and stores participants’ names and other personal data provided by participants on Meta. After the winner is chosen, they will also be asked to provide their address, which will be processed for the purpose of sending them the prize. The winner’s name will then be shared on Meta with their consent. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 (b) GDPR, as the data is required to fulfil a contract with the participants. If the winner consents to their personal data being shared on Meta, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR.
- Disclosure to third parties
Data is not disclosed to third parties. Data processing by Meta occurs entirely independently of the data processing undertaken for the contest. Please refer to Meta's privacy policy in this regard:
- Duration of storage
All data is deleted within 30 days of the end of the contest.
